USER’S GUIDE
Cosmo Bike by Cosmo Connected is a removable light that can be attached to a helmet or a bike seat and connected to a mobile application. The functions include position lighting
(continuous), indicator lights, warning lights and deceleration lights when installed under the seat. The device associates visual safety, fall detection and emergency warnings (via SMS and/or
email).
MINIMAL SETUP REQUIRED
Cosmo Bike adapts to most bike helmets available on the market.
To be able to enjoy all the features, you must have a next generation smartphone such as: IOS (Apple): Version 10 or higher
Android: Version 5 or higher
IOS & Android: GSM + GPS + Bluetooth smart 4 SIM
To connect your Cosmo Bike to your smartphone you must download the application and not use the Bluetooth in your settings.
ON/OFF Once charged, you can begin using your Cosmo Bike. To turn it on, you just tap the end of the case twice. You can switch off the Cosmo Bike in 2 ways: by the application, or by the
remote control with a long press of 5 seconds on the middle button. After a 2 minutes of total inactivity, the Cosmo Bike will automatically turn off. You can download the user guide on our

BEFORE THE 1ST USE
COSMO BIKE
1. Remove the base of your Cosmo Bike. The USB port is at the back of the Cosmo Bike.
2. Plug your Cosmo Bike in using the micro-USB cable that comes with it. The Cosmo turns on and gradually turns off. The recharge indicator LED (red light on the left side) stays on until fully
charged.
3. Unplug and then activate (tap the side twice: The Cosmo turns on)
MOBILE APP
1. Download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store and then start the app*
2. Go to the “my Cosmo” menu to select your device (Note: only connects through the app; not through the phone Bluetooth settings).
3. Once the device has connected, an update is suggested. Accept the update.
4. Set up the desired attachment mode (“helmet” or “seat”)
*Once installed, open the Cosmo Bike app and follow the instructions to create an account. If you already have one, enter your ID and password to log in. You can also create an account at our
site cosmoconnected.com. The Cosmo Connected app is free as is creating an account where you can add 3 emergency contacts to be notified by SMS and/or email if an incident is detected
by your Cosmo Bike.
MAIN FUNCTIONS Indicator lights / Fall detection and warning lights* / Position lights / Deceleration lights**. These light modes can be manually enabled/disabled via the mobile app and/or via
the remote control (optional accessory).
* The use of warning lights is regulated in each country; you must observe the laws in effect.
**The “deceleration” light mode is not enabled when the Cosmo Bike is attached to a helmet for visual comfort.
WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY The Cosmo Bike is equipped with a Bluetooth 4.0 transmitter-receiver. (Low energy). Transmitter power: -8.4 dBm/frequency bandwidth: 2400 to 2483.5 EIRP
maximum = -8.4 dBm
BATTERY The Cosmo Bike is equipped with a 900 mAh battery that can be recharged with a 5 V micro-USB (included). A fully charged battery lasts around 220 minutes (3 hr 40 min.). The
battery autonomy is 8 hours with continuous lighting (may vary based on the use).

PRECAUTIONS REGARDING THE BUILT IN BATTERY
• Do not attempt to replace the battery in your Cosmo Bike. It is built in and cannot be replaced.
• Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions provided in this guide
• Only use the charger that comes with your product to charge the battery
• Charge your Cosmo Bike using a computer, a powered docking station or certified power station
• Do not attempt to open the built-in battery.
RECHARGING YOUR COSMO BIKE Charge your Cosmo Bike with the micro-USB cable provided. A LED indicator will light up to indicate it is charging and will turn off when fully charged. Check
the battery level using the Cosmo Bike app.
ATTACHING YOUR COSMO BIKE (“HELMET” OR “SEAT” MODE)
A brochure explaining the different ways to attach it is provided in the Cosmo Bike packaging.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE Do not try to replace the battery or open the case or take your Cosmo Bike apart. Each of these actions will void the warranty and may pose safety risks. The
substances contained in batteries may be harmful for the environment or cause injury if handled and disposed of inappropriately.
•Do not expose your Cosmo Bike to extreme temperatures (The Cosmo is designed to operate when uncharged: -20 °C to +60 °C, and while charging: 0 °C to +45 °C)
•Do not use any abrasive products to clean your Cosmo Bike or the accessories.
•Do not throw your Cosmo Bike onto a fire. The battery may explode.
•Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions provided in this guide. Only use a computer, a power source or a charger certified by a renowned testing laboratory with a charging
cable authorised by COSMO CONNECTED.
•Do not charge your Cosmo Bike when wet.
ATTENTION Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced with an incorrect battery. The battery included with the Cosmo Bike must not be replaced by anyone other than
COSMO CONNECTED or an authorised service centre. It must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste as per the instructions. This product is not a toy.
Do not let children or pets play with your Cosmo Bike. The product contains small parts which can be a choking hazard.
INFORMATION ON WASTE DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING Dispose of your product at a recycling centre. Each country and province has its own recycling centres for batteries and electronics. To
find out where to dispose of your product, contact the waste management service in your area or the shop where you purchased the product. Do not throw the device into the household waste.
The packaging and product must be disposed of in accordance with local regulations. Batteries must not be disposed of with municipal waste and must be separated for collection.

COSMO CONNECTED™ of 6 rue Duret, 75116 Paris, France, shall guarantee its COSMO CONNECTED™ brand hardware against hardware and manufacturing defects whenever it is used per the
recommendations in the user manual provided that such are discovered within two (years) of the date of initial purchase from a professional by an end user of a new COSMO CONNECTED™
product (Warranty Period). Published recommendations include such matters as technical specifications, safety advice or operating manuals for Cosmo Bike. COSMO CONNECTED™ does not
guarantee that Cosmo Bike will function continuously or without error.
Items sold by COSMO CONNECTED™ are conformant to current French regulations, and their performance is suitable for non-professional applications.
Items supplied by COSMO CONNECTED™ entitle you fully and without additional fees, your right to return such items notwithstanding, and pursuant to the relevant statutes:
•to a legal warranty of conformity for Products that are obviously defective, deficient, or damaged or not as ordered;
•to a legal warranty against hidden defects resulting from material, design, or workmanship defects, affecting products that are already delivered, and rendering them unsuitable for use;
•all subject to the conditions and the terms below
The legal warranty of conformity shall be applicable apart from the commercial warranty that the Product may possibly be covered by. A Customer may decide to take advantage of the
warranty against hidden product defects pursuant to the French Civil Code, Article 1641 in which case he or she may choose between having the sale voided or obtaining a sales price reduction
pursuant to French Civil Code, Article 1644.
It is pointed out that pursuant to the legal warranty of conformity, a Customer has a two- (2-) year period from the date of product delivery to take action against the Seller; he or she may
choose between a repair or a replacement of the Product ordered subject to the cost provisions in French Consumer Code, Article L 217-9; the obligation to provide proof of Product non-
conformity in the 24 months following Product delivery is waived.
To exercise his or her rights, a Customer will need to inform COSMO CONNECTED™ in writing of Product non-conformity or the existence of hidden defects within the above period of time and
return the defective Products in the same condition they were when received with all the accessories (packaging, instruction, charger, etc.).
Under warranty, COSMO CONNECTED™ will reimburse the cost of, replace, or procure the repair of the Products or components that it deems non-conformant or defective. Shipping charges
shall be reimbursed based on the rate charged, and the return costs shall be reimbursed upon the presentation of the relevant evidence. Reimbursement for Products deemed non-conformant
or defective will take place in the shortest possible time but in no case later than fourteen (14) days after COSMO CONNECTED™ determines that there is a non-conformity or a hidden defect.
The reimbursement will be credited to a Customer's bank account or will be in the form of a bank check in the Customer's name.
COSMO CONNECTED™ shall not be held responsible under the following circumstances:
•failure to follow the laws of the country to which products are delivered which it will be the Customer's responsibility to check;
•in the event of improper use or use not as per the operating instructions, faulty installation, professional use, carelessness, or improper maintenance by a Customer as well as in the
event normal Product wear and tear, an accident, or force majeure;
•run-time error of the application associated with the Product, and more generally, of the warning device, because of an inability to access the telephone network (namely, in areas
without coverage or because of the network being unavailable), a technical failure or a failure related to an accident (namely, in the event the mobile terminal hosting the Product
application is completely or partially destroyed).
In addition, the warranty shall not cover:
•repairs or component replacement resulting from normal wear and tear;
•any product modifications required to make the product conform to the applicable technical or safety standards of a country other than the one the product was originally designed
and built for, namely, France;
•Product deterioration or failure resulting:
-from improper Product use or installation (non-design Product utilization, installation or use non-conformant to COSMO CONNECTED™ instructions or technical or safety
standards of the country of use, etc.);
-Product maintenance violating COSMO CONNECTED™ instructions or negligent Product maintenance;
-improper Product handling or use (incorrect operation, fall, impacts, etc.) or unsuitable environmental conditions (exposure to humidity, excessive heat, contact with sand or
any other substance, improper electrical power source, etc.);
-Product modification or repair made by a service provider not authorized by COSMO CONNECTED™.

On the other hand, the Customer shall duly take into consideration that the Product is a deceleration detector that is complementary to the visual braking indication (stop lights) and that it
cannot be used instead of such indication. The Customer shall duly note that the Product may not detect braking situations under certain traffic or weather conditions and shall expressly
acknowledge this fact.
IN GENERAL, THERE IS NO WARRANTY EXCEPT AS STATED HEREIN, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF CURRENT COMMERCIAL USE OR SUITABILITY
FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE, IS HEREBY EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. NO RESELLER SHALL BE AUTHORIZED TO MODIFY THE LIABILITY CONDITIONS OR TERMS STATED ABOVE
WARNING TO USERS IN THE UNITED STATES

equipment authorization from the FCC and will void the COSMO CONNECTED warranty. This device complies with FCC RF radiation exposure limits set forth for general population
(uncontrolled exposure). This device must not be collocated or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
