Installation Requirements
LOCATION:
IMPORTANT NOTE: This system has been designed to be installed as a free standing
unit and should be located on a suitable, structurally sound and stable floor of
concrete or similar non-combustible material. The entire system containing water at
normal operating level, without the client, weighs approximately 282 lbs (128 kg). It
is recommended that a structural engineer be consulted prior to locating the system
in a facility, to ensure the floor support is suitable.
THE MAXIMUM ALLOWANCE INDIVIDUAL WEIGHT IS 300 (136 kg)LBS.
PLUMBING CONNECTIONS:
All connections to water supply and waste line should be made by a licensed plumber in
accordance with local and national plumbing codes.
Hot and cold supply connections are made by means of 3/4 inch (19 mm) compression
fittings provided. Incoming supply connections should be made in accordance with local
and national plumbing code requirements (See Photo #2 below).
IMPORTANT: Before connecting the hot and cold water to the FACILITY’S WATER
SUPPLY system, first purge the supply water to ensure all grit and waste is purged
from the inbound plumbing.
FAUCET/SALT WATER PRECAUTIONS
It is not recommended to run salt water through the system’s faucet (tapware) set. If the faucet
is connected directly to a salt water supply, it is essential that a fresh water flushing system
is also provided. This will ensure that the internal components of the faucet are flushed with
fresh water after being exposed to salt water (for further details, contact your distributor).

(See Photo #3). Connect to drain in accordance with local and national plumbing code
requirements.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We recommend the use of anti-slip graded tiles on surrounding
floor surfaces. This important recommendation will ensure a safe environment for
therapists and clients alike.

Ventilation
VENTILATION
This system is designed to be normally operated and cooled by the designed ventilation
means, allowing normal air flow beneath and around electrical and jet pump assemblies.
Additionally, each adjustable foot may be used to level the entire unit during installation.
Leveling feet also are designed to elevate the system and provide an adequate
ventilation area by providing an air gap between the bottom of the covering or skirt and
the floor (See Photo #7).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
DO NOT OBSTRUCT THE AIR GAP BETWEEN THE BOTTOM OF THE
SYSTEM AND THE FLOOR IN ANY WAY. TO DO SO MAY CAUSE
COMPONENT OVERHEATING AND DAMAGE TO YOUR EQUIPMENT.

Installation and Testing Procedures
• Remove all packaging material and inspect system thoroughly to ensure that no damage has
occurred during handling/transportation. In the event of damage due to shipping,
immediately notify the freight carrier so that an appropriate claim may be filed with the carrier.
• Select installation location in accordance with the instructions stated in the “Location”
section of this manual (Page 5). When selecting location, consideration must be given to
the proximity of the electrical and plumbing connections.
• Electrical and plumbing connections can now be made in accordance with location
plumbing and electrical codes. Refer to “Electrical Rating”, “Electrical and Plumbing
Connection” sections contained in this manual for technical support information
(See Pages 5 - 8)
Plumbing codes vary from location to location and may require the installation of check
valves (back-flow prevention valves) on incoming hot and cold water supply lines and/or
sanitary drain connections. Due to the variations in plumbing codes, this system is not
supplied with these valves. Please arrange for your plumbing contractor to install the
appropriate devices as required to meet your local codes.
NOTE: ANY METAL PLUMBING PROVIDED DURING INSTALLATION MUST BE
BONDED WITH A #8 AWG WIRE TO THE SAME BONDING GRID AS THE SANIJET®
MOTORS.
• Once the electrical and plumbing connections are made, the system should be filled
with water and tested so that all plumbing and fitting can be inspected prior to fitting
the enclosure skirt.
WARNING: WHEN WATER TESTING THE SYSTEM, AND BEFORE FILLING THE
SYSTEM WITH WATER, ALL ELECTRICAL ENCLOSURE BOXES MUST BE CLOSED
AND COVERS SECURED, TO PREVENT WATER INFILTRATION SHOULD LEAKS
OCCUR.
• Before filling the Biarritz™ with water, ensure the basin is clean and that no debris or other
foreign matter is inside the basin that could cause blockage of jets when the system is
operated, damage to the hydro-jets system, or scratches to the basin’s acrylic surface.
• Test the system by filling the basin until water reaches approximately 1” (25 mm) higher
than the highest jets. This will avoid water being expelled from the Biarritz™ when
system is activated (See Photo #8 below). NOTE: The basin drain (See Photos #23-24,
Pg.22) must be in the closed position prior to filling.

• Press the pump on /off speed control button (See Photo #9) to allow the system to operate
for approximately fifteen (15) minutes, while thoroughly inspecting the system’s plumbing for
leaks that may have been caused as a result of mishandling during transportation. If leaks
are detected, turn the system off by depressing the pump on/off control button. Empty the
water from the system and disconnect the electrical supply to the system. In the event of
leaks, ensure that all fittings are tight. (See Photo #10 for skirt removal/ installation for
inspection and service). If necessary, contact the manufacturer or supplier to arrange for
any repair or replacement parts that may be needed.
• Upon completion of water testing the system, install the enclosure skirt (See Photo #10).
WARNING:
APART FROM THE ABOVE REFERENCED TESTING PROCEDURE, THE SYSTEM
MUST NEVER BE OPERATED UNLESS THE ELECTRICAL BOX ENCLOSURE
PANELS AND THE ENCLOSURE SKIRT ARE FIXED TO THE SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM
MUST NOT BE OPERATED IF ANY DAMAGE TO THE ENCLOSURE PANELS HAVE
OCCURRED.
