Warnings and Precautions for the Covetrus® ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer
• Please read this user manual carefully before using the Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer. If you have
any questions, please call Covetrus.
• Before installing and using the Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer, please perform a visual inspection to
check whether the equipment has any of the following problems: damage to the housing, panel, or power
supply, spilled fluid or liquid exposure, moisture, etc. If the panel is damaged, please call Covetrus.
• This equipment must be operated by trained professional medical care personnel.
• This device is used to warm drugs or blood inside an infusion line or blood transfusion line. Do not use it
for other purposes.
• Before installing and using the equipment, please confirm with a DVM or similarly-licensed personnel
whether the drug can be heated and check appropriate heating temperature.
• Prior to inserting fluid tubing into equipment, perform standard checks to ensure integrity and condition
of line and that it is free of air prior to connection to the patient.
• Before installing the equipment, please refer to this manual for correct installation to prevent the device
from falling off the infusion stand. Pay attention to avoid blocking the loudspeaker portion of the panel.
To prevent impact or damage to the equipment, please pick up and lie down gently. Do not wash the
equipment.
• When using the Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer, please refer to the manual instructions. If alarm
sounds, stop use and immediately troubleshoot the error. If necessary, please contact Triumph Medical for
maintenance and testing, and ensure the device is certified to be in working order before resuming use.
• When using the optional drop sensor, please pay attention to the corresponding relationship between the
external drop sensor interface and the infusion set slot.
• Please do not disassemble the equipment.

Setting Interface Instructions
Press the “Settings Confirm” button to enter the following page in sequence:

Second page Alarm of Abnormal and set temperature value (the default value is 1.
Temperature When it is greater than or less than 1°C or 32°F
high and low-temperature alarms will be triggered)

Installation Instructions
The Covetrus® ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer has two installation methods: hanging installation (with sling) or fixed
pole clamp installation.
1 Hanging installation:
2 Fixed installation with clamp:
• Open the hidden pole clamp and rotate 90° as shown in the first photo below.
Note: After performing fixed installation with the pole clamp, the pole clamp can be returned to the hidden
state inside the device by twisting the wingnut-shaped knob and rotating the pole clamp back into the slot.

3 Connect the power cable: Insert one end of the power cable into the power socket of the warmer and the
other end into the main socket. The power indicator is on when the power is switched on.
Note: Do not start the device when the fluid in the infusion tube is not flowing.
4 Infusion set installation: Prepare the infusion set, fill the infusion set with liquid, and drain the bubbles
from the infusion set; The device has two infusion pipe mounting slots, and one or two infusion sets can be
installed at the same time. Install the end of the infusion set from the top down into the heating plate slot
of the warmer, as shown in the figure:

Use Instructions
The Covetrus® ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer is used to heat the infusion set's liquid.
1 Long press the power button, and the machine will be powered on.
2 Fix the Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer according to the installation diagram and connect the power
cord. The power indicator will turn on.
3 Install the infusion set into the slot of the heating plate, close the upper cover, and insert the drop sensor
into the corresponding interface of the Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer (if necessary).
4 After powering on, set the parameter and adjust the temperature.
5 After use, long press the power button for about 3 seconds to turn off the warmer.

Alarms and Solutions
When an alarm sounds, first check the patient before determining the cause of the alarm.

Maintenance Regulations
The Covetrus ProMAX IV Fluid Warmer has a free warranty period of 1 year from the purchase date. The
starting date of the warranty period is subject to the purchase date and the invoice.
Note: the machine damage caused by the following conditions is not covered by the free warranty:
1. Faults caused by unauthorized modification or maintenance due to improper use.
2. Fire, flood, wind, earthquake, abnormal voltage, and other natural faults and damages.
3. The machine is bumped or damaged due to improper operation during handling after purchase.
In case of damage or failure under the above circumstances, Triumph Medical can provide maintenance, but a
certain fee will be charged accordingly.
