CHECK FOR LOOSE FASTENERS
•Beforeeachusemakeathoroughvisualcheckof
thesprayerforanyboltsandnutswhichmayhave
loosened.Retightenanylooseboltsandnuts.
CLEANING TANK
• Afteruse,llthetankpartwaywithwater,startthe
sprayerandallowclearwatertobepumpedthrough
theplumbingsystemandoutthroughtheboom
assemblyandthehandgun.Usethehandgunto
thoroughly wash all internal parts of the tank, the
outsideofthetankandtheboom.
• Rellthetankabouthalffullwithplainwaterand
achemicalneutralizerandrepeatthecleaning
instructionsabove.Flushtheentiresprayerwiththe
neutralizingagent.Followthechemicalmanufacturers
instructions for disposal of all wash or rinsing water.
LUBRICATION
•Oil the wheels at least once a season.
CLEANING STRAINERS
• Periodicallycleanthestrainerintheendoftheintake
hoseatthebottomofthetank.Removethenylon
swivelnutfromthehose,pulloutthescreenandush
it with clear water.
• Periodicallycleanthestrainersintheboomnozzles.
Removethenozzle,pulloutthescreenandushit
with clear water.
STORING
• Drainallwateroutofthesprayer,payingspecial
attentiontothepumpandhandgun.Theseitems
are especially prone to damage from chemicals and
freezingweather.
• Thesprayershouldbewinterizedbeforestorageby
pumpinga50-50solutionofwaterandR.V.antifreeze
throughtheentireplumbing.Propercareand
maintenance will prolong the life of the sprayer.

HOW TO USE YOUR SPRAYER
• Determinetheapproximatesquarefootageofthe
areatobesprayed.Usethisamounttoestimate
thenumberofgallonsthatwillberequired,based
onproductrecommendations.Thiscanhelpavoid
unneeded solution left in the tank.
• Determinetheapplicationrate(gallonsper1,000
sq.feetorgallonsperacre)basedonthechemical
manufacturers recommendations.
• Usethetipchartonpage9todeterminewhatground
speedwillachievetherecommendedapplicationrate.
• Todeterminethethrottlesettingforattainingthe
desiredgroundspeed,markoff100,200and300
feetintervals.Thespeedchartatthebottomof
page9indicatesthenumberofsecondsittakesto
travelthesedistances.Setthethrottleand,witha
runningstart,travelthedistancesinthenumberof
secondsindicatedbythespeedchart.Onceyouhave
determined the throttle and gear settings needed,
mark the throttle location so that you can easily
resume the same speed after stopping.
• Addthechemicalsolutiontothetank,followingthe
product instructions.
ATTENTION!
Do notallowchemicalstositinpumpforextended
times of idleness. Some chemicals will damage the
pumpvalveifallowedtosoakuntreatedforalength
oftime.Alwaysushthepumpwithwateraftereach
