Using four clevis pins and four cotter pins
from the manual bag, install the labeled
tines onto the tine shaft inner tines first, then
the outer tines and exactly as shown.

Remove the remaining clevis pin and cotter
pin from the manual bag, install the wheel
assembly into the chain case bracket
Remove the two screws
from the bracket in the
chain case. Insert the
horizontal bracket into the
chain case brackets and
secure the depth stake
assembly in place with the
screws just removed
Remove the bolts, washers and nuts from
the chain case bracket. Place the handle into
position and secure with the previously removed
hardware.
Remove the handle
adjustment crank from
the handle. Rotate the
handle upward and
secure it in place with
the handle
adjustment
crank.
When the handle is in place, insert the
clutch cable into the cable guide on the
handle

The wheels and
depth stake need
to be adjusted
to meet your tilling needs
before operation. Removing
the clevis pin from the chain
case bracket and raise the
wheels to the desired height.
Remove the clevis pin and
cotter pin place the depth
stake in the desired position
and reinstall the hardware.
Disconnect and ground the spark plug
wire against the engine. Adjust the forward
clutch cable if necessary by loosening
the hex nut. Turn the cable collar section one or
two turns to increase or decrease tension on the
cable. Retighten the lock nut against the cable collar.
Reconnect the spark plug wire.
Fill fuel tank with clean, fresh
gasoline until fuel reaches the fuel
level indicator.
Pour the entire contents of the
oil bottle (included in carton)
into the oil fill.
Move throttle control into the
Fast position.
Move the choke control
into the Choke position.
Grasp starter rope handle
and pull with quick, full-arm stroke.
When engine starts, slowly move choke
control into the Run position.
