Getting to know your IQWrench2 Opta

If the backlight goes off, pressing any key will turn the wrench
back on. The backlight will not turn on when the wrench is low
on power.

Select -!1 in main menu.  Jobs would have been
loaded prior to this from a PC using OptaComms or O S.
Select user name by scrolling through list with (up/down)
arrow key and pressing ,2$0 key.
Enter Password by using up/down arrow key to select character
and right arrow key to go to next character. Press ,2$0
Now in Job enu. Select Job using up/down arrow key.
Press ,2$0 In Job measurement screen. See picture.
As the fastener is tightened, the torque value will increase.
The lights will show:

If the buzzer is set to targeting mode, the frequency of the
buzzer will increase as the target torque is approaching until
it becomes continuous. If the vibrator is enabled, the handle
will vibrate when torque becomes OK. When the target is reached,
stop pulling and the wrench will prepare for the next fastening.
At the bottom of the screen, the reading number for that job will be displayed.

Do  pull more torque than is stated as the span figure. The wrench is a precision instrument and should
be treated with care.

into the cradle as shown
so the locating ridges in
the cradle engage with
the slots on the side of
the wrench. The design
prevents the wrench
being inserted the
wrong way round.

Using the Wrench

To switch on the wrench, press any Arrow key. The wrench will initialise - if the gyro is enabled, keep the
wrench still for 4 seconds. The wrench will display a number of information screens finishing at Comms in
ain enu. To switch off without waiting for the Auto Power Off, select the Power Off icon in the ain
enu by scrolling with (up/down) arrow keys and pressing the Enter key. To change user, select Logout
on ain enu, then go to Jobs (see back page)

The wrench will typically last an 8 hour shift on a full charge.
When the wrench battery gets low, then a battery symbol will flash in bottom of LCD. Finish the existing
job and then return the wrench to the cradle for charging. The adaptor must be connected to the mains
and will show a green light when the power is on.
A battery symbol shown in the wrench display will indicate the charge status of the battery.
These symbols indicate:

The wrench can be removed and dropped into the cradle at any time, with the wrench powered on or off.
The wrench can take 4 hours to receive a complete charge. It is advised that the wrench is left in the
cradle, when not being used.
If the wrench battery is allowed to reach a very low level, then the wrench will turn itself off automatically.
The wrench should then be returned to the cradle for several hours of charging.
