*The specification of metre refers to the air overpressure used in connec-
tion with the water resistance test for the Heart Rate Watch in accordance
with DIN 8310.

Safety instructions
18
−Do not push the buttons if the Heart Rate Watch is wet. Water may
penetrate the housing through the buttons and damage the clock-
work.
−Keep in mind that salt and thermal water could cause metal parts to
corrode.
−It is recommended that you do not wear the Heart Rate Watch in the
sauna as condensation can form due to the differences in temperature
and damage the Heart Rate Watch as a result.
−Movements during swimming or a water stream (e.g. when showering
or washing your hands) could cause peaks in pressure. The applicable
areas of the Heart Rate Watch are subjected to significantly greater
forces than presumed base on the depth alone. Only watches with a
classification of 50 m can be considered water resistant (showering
possible). Only watches with a classification of 100 m or more can be
worn when swimming.

Safety instructions
19
−Water resistance is not a permanent property as the function of
integrated gaskets may deteriorate with daily use or be damaged by
an impact or fall.
−Subjecting the pulse watch to substantial changes in temperature, e.g.
while sunbathing followed by a jump in cooler water, could cause
condensation to form in the watch casing. This does not necessarily
indicate that the watch is not water resistant; however, the moisture
must be immediately removed. In this case contact the service address
indicated on the warranty card.
