TurningYourPlayerOnandOff
1. Toturnonyourplayer,slidethePowerswitchtowardsthePowericon
andholditthereuntilthedisplaylightsup.
Toturnoffyourplayer,slidethePowerswitchtowardsthePowericon
andholditthereuntiltheShuttingdownmessageappears.

RemovingandInsertingtheBattery
YourplayercomeswitharemovableLithium-Ionbattery.
Toremovethebattery
1. PresstheBatteryReleaselatchandslidethebatteryawayfromtheplayer.
Removethebatterygentlyfromthebatteryconnectors.

ReactivatingthePlayer'sScreen
Whenthescreenturnsoff,pressanybuttononyourplayertoreactivatethe
screen.Formoreinformationaboutsettingthedisplaytimer,seeSettingthe
backlightduration.

LockingYourPlayer
Lockingyourplayerdisablesthefunctionsofallbuttonsonyourplayer.Locking
yourplayerisusefulwhenyoudonotwanttoaccidentallyactivatefunctionson
yourplayer,suchaswhenyourplayerisinyourpocketorbag.
Tolockyourplayer
SlidethePowerswitchtowardstheLock icon.Whenyoulockyourplayer,
youwillseetheLockedicon onthetoprightofthedisplay.

ConnectingYourPlayertoaTV
Toviewyourplayer'scontentonalargerscreen,connectyourplayertoaTV
usingthesuppliedaudiovideocable.
1. SlidethePowerswitchonyourplayertowardsthePower iconandhold
itthereuntilthedisplaylightsup.
Ifyouarenotinthemainmenu,pressandholdtheMenu/Back button.
SelectSettings Photo/VideoSettings VideoOut.
SelectAuto(NTSC)orAuto(PAL).RefertotheUser'sGuideforyourTVif
youarenotsureaboutyourTV'sdisplayformat.
ConnectyourplayertoaTVwiththeaudiovideocable.
