THEREMOTECONTROLS
1-WAY - SIDEKICK REMOTE:
The1-Waysidekickremoteaddsflexibilitytoyoursystem.Youcan have the convenience of
operating yoursystemwithoutneeding tocarrythe largerpagerremote.TheSidekick
remotehaslessrange andoffersallofthesameoperationfeaturesexceptforpage-back
confirmation.The1-WaySidekickRemoteusestwoCR-2025Lithium3Volt Batteries.
2-WAY - TOUCH SCREENPAGER / REMOTECONTROL:
The 2-WayOLEDpagerremotecontrolis used tosend and receiveinformationtoand from
thevehicle.Thevehiclewill confirmremotecommandsbytransmitting HighFrequencyFM
signalstoyourpageroverlongdistances. Yourrangewillvarydependingon location,
terrain,and localRFnoise/interference.This systemis notguaranteedtopage you ifyou
arebehindconcretewalls, underground, inalargestructure, orinanarea withhigh levels of
electronic interference.Handlethepager/remotewithcare.TheLCD displayand/orthe
electronicsmaybedamaged if subjected toabuse.
TheOLED remotecontrolwillconfirmeverythingonthedisplayalong withvoiceand
vibration.The voiceandvibration canbe turnedON orOFF thruthemenuchoices.

PowerOFF Button: Scroll-WheelDown
Thisturnsthe PowerOff. The Remotewillnotreceivesignals fromvehicleuntilbutton #4is
pressed about 4seconds.The screen will changecolors, andthen showStart-UpScreen.
Arming/ Locking:
Pressthe LockButton on the remotecontrol. The Systemwill armandconfirmwithonesiren
andhornchirp, one parklightsflash,and the LEDwillbegintoflash slowly.Powerlockswill
lock(ifequipped).Thestarterdisablecircuitwillturnon.The 2-WayLCD Pagerwill give
voiceconfirmation “SystemArmed” whiledisplayingaLockingsymbol. Afterashortdelay,
thesystemwillbe completelyarmed.
NOTE: The sirenandhornchirpsareprogrammableON orOFF (option#4).
OpenDoorAlert/ Bypass:
Uponarming,thesystemwillwarnyouifadoor,hoodortrunkis left open.Thesystemwill
chirpand flashtheparkinglights4timestowarnyouofaproblem. Thesystemwill waitup
to45 seconds(programmable0,15,30, 45 seconds)forthe domelighttoturnoff. Theopen
zone will automatically be bypassed untilclosed.Thealarmwill continuetoprotectall other
zones.
CarFinderMode:
Whenthealarmsystemisarmed, presstheLockButton. Thesiren, hornandlightswillflash
6times.This is usefulinalarge parkinglottohelpfindyourcar.

Disarming / Unlocking:
PresstheUnlockButton on theremotecontrol.TheSystemwilldisarmandconfirmwithtwo
chirps,twolightflashes,andtheLEDwill turnoff. Powerlockswillunlockand Interior
Domelightwill turnon(ifinstalledwiththeseoptionalfeatures).The2-WayLCD Pagerwill
confirmwith “SystemDisarmed” whiledisplayinganUnlocksymbol.
Driver’sDoorPriorityUnlock:Optional connectionrequired
Thisoptionseparatesunlockofthedriver’sdoorfromthepassengerdoorswiththeremote
control. Thereare2choicesof operation.
•Default =PressandholdtheUnlockButton for2secondstounlockalldoors.
•Pressthe UnlockButton2timestounlockall doors.
Thisis RemoteChannel2output (Option #10).Thisoutputcanalsobe programmedfor
otherauxiliaryfunctions, consult yourinstaller.
SilentArming: Scroll-WheelDown
ToArmwithoutchirps,pressthe SilentArmbutton # 1.The 2-WayLCD
Pagerwillconfirmwith “SystemArmed”.
SilentDisarming: Scroll-WheelDown
ToDisarmwithout chirps, presstheSilent Disarmbutton#2.
The2-WayLCD Pagerwill confirmwith “SystemDisarmed”.
ArmwithoutShockSensorZone: Scroll-WheelDown
Toarmthe systemwithout theshocksensorzone, pressbutton #3.
The2-WayLCD Pagerwill confirmwith “SystemArmed”.
PanicMode:IgnitionKeyOFF Scroll-WheelDown
Tosoundthe alarminan emergencysituationortodrawattention to
yourvehicle,press Button#4untilthesiren/hornsounds.Thealarm
willsoundfor30 seconds.Pressthe LockorUnlockButtontoreset
panic mode.
Note: On1-WaySidekickremote, pressthe Buttonsatthe

ManualArmingMode:
Thealarmsystemcan beManuallyArmed andDisarmedwithouttheremotecontrol.The
doorentrywillchangetoa20seconddelaytoallowdisarmwithoutsoundingalarm.This is
usefulifyoudon’t havearemotecontrolorgoswimming.
ToActivateManualMode:
1.TurnIgnitionKeyoff.
2.PressValetOverrideButton 3timesandexitvehicle.
3.Thesystemwill arm10 secondsafterclosingthedoor.
4.DisarmbyIgnitionOnandpressValet Overridebutton 4seconds.
ValetMode:SolidBlueLED
ValetMode isdisablesthe Alarmand RemoteEngine
Starting forvehicleservicing.The alarmsystemmust
bedisarmed toenterValetMode.
•ToActivateValetModeManually: Turnthe
ignition onandpressthe Valet/Override button
(about6seconds)until theLEDturnson solid.
Repeat the processtoexit VALETMode (you hear(2)sirenchirps).
•ToActivateValetwiththeremote, pressthe remote’sLockandUnlockbutton
(about6seconds). Repeatthis step toexitValetMode withtheremotecontrol.
Emergency Override(DisarmwithoutRemote)
If you havelostthe transmitteroritstopsworkingforanyreasonand theAlarmis armed,
youwillhavetodisarmthesystemmanually.Open thedoorwiththekey[alarmwill sound],
turntheignitionon,andpresstheValet/Overridebutton forabout5seconds.The Alarm
willdisarmandallowyou tousethe vehicleuntilyoucan repair/ replacetheremote.
IgnitionControlledDoorLocks:(Option#2)
Thedoorswill automaticallylockwhen theignitionisturnedonandwill unlockwhenthe
ignition is turnedoff. This featurecanbe programmedon,off,tolockthe doorsonlyor
unlockthedoorsonly. Doorswillnotlockif theyareopentopreventlocking the keysin.
AlarmTriggers:
If thereisanintrusion intothevehicle,ahardimpacttothe bodyor
theignitionis turned on;thealarmwill soundandflashthelightsfor
30seconds.If adoorisleft open afteranintrusion then the unitwill
cycleonceandcontinue toprotecttheotherun-tamperedor
unopened zones.The LCD remotewillkeepadetailed recordofthe
triggerzone,timeand dateand vehiclenumber(up to4trigger
violations)

PriorintrusionAlert:
Thissystemwillnotifyyouifthealarmwastriggered whileyouwereaway. Upondisarming,
therewillbefoursiren chirpsinsteadof the twonormaldisarmchirps.Checkyourvehicle
foranysignsofabreakinortampering.

LCD RemotePaging/ ZoneViolations:
Whenthe systemistriggered,thealarmsendsapaging signaltotheremote.If youare
withinrange,youwill receiveapaging signalthatwilldisplayofwhatcausedthe zone
violation.The 2-WayLCD Pagerwillalsovibrateandgivevoiceconfirmationof “Door,
Hood, Trunk, Ignition orSensorTrigger” tonotifyyouthevehiclehasbeentamperedwith.
TheLCDremotewillkeepadetailedrecordofthetriggerzone,timeand date(up to4
triggerviolations).
Pre-WarningShock Protection:
ThePre-Warning(Warn-A-Way)featurewill activatewhen alow-levelLightShockor
vibration isdetectedbythe system’sshocksensor.Thealarmwill chirpthe siren6timesto
helpdeteranyfurthertamperingwiththe vehicle.You willreceiveapagingsignalthatwill
displayanButtonofahammerhitting thevehicle.The 2-WayLCD Pagerwill alsovibrate
andgivevoiceconfirmationof “SensorWarning” tonotifyyou the vehiclehasbeen
tampered with.
PassiveArmingMode:(Option#6-3)
Passive(automatic)Arming occurs30secondsaftertheignitionisturnedoff andthe last
dooris closed.Upon closingthelastdoor,theLED willbeflashing rapidlytoconfirmpassive
countdown.Ifadooris reopenedwithinthe30-secondperiod,the LEDwillturnOFF as
countdownstopsand beginflashingagainwhenthedooris closed. Passive arming provides
failsafeprotectionincaseyouforgettoarmthesystem.
PassiveLocking: (Option#6-2)
Thesystemcanbeprogrammedtopassivelylockthedoorswhen the systempassively arms.
The defaultsettingis OFFbecausepassivelockingincreasestheriskoflockingthekeysin
thevehiclewhen the systemarms/lockspassively, withoutpressingtheremote.
Diagnosticswill resetwhentheIgnitionis
turnedon orwhenthesystemisre-armed.

ArmingReminder:(Option#6-1=ON, #6-4=OFF)
If PassiveArming is turnedoff, thereisaremindertoarmthesystem15 secondsafter
closing the last door. Thesystemwillchirp4timestoremind youtoarmthe alarm.
Active Rearm:(Option#5-4)
ActiveRearmingmeansthatthesystemwillre-armitself30secondsafterbeingdisarmed
withthetransmitterifadoorhasnotyetbeenopened.Thisishandyifthevehicleis
accidentallydisarmed(viathe transmitterinyourpocket)withoutyouknowingit.This
featurecanalsobe turnedoffinprogramming.
Auto Rearm:FailsafeProtection(Option #5-2withLock, #5-3withoutLock)
Afterdisarming systemandopeningandclosingadoortogetapackage,thealarmwill
rearmautomaticallyunlessthe ignition is turnedon.Thesystemcan beprogrammed to
passivelylockthe doorswithAutoRearm.
PassiveImmobilizer:(Option #7-2)
ThesystemincludesaPassiveImmobilizertoactivatetheStarterDisablerelaywithout
armingthe alarm.TheLEDwill flashand the starterdisablewill activate30secondsafter
turningtheignitionoff. Thismayqualifyforaninsurancediscount.
Trunk/ HatchPop-RemoteChannel1(Option#9)
Thisfeatureisdesigned tointerfacewithexisting Factorypowertrunkorpowerhatch
releasesystemsandmayrequireadditionalpartsand/orlaborcharges.Toactivate,press
andholdthe TrunkButton for3seconds.The2-WayLCDremotewillconfirmactivation with
atrunkButton.If the systemis armed,itwill automaticallybypassthe trunkandshock
sensortriggerzonesuntil10 secondsafterclosing.Thesystemcanalsobeprogrammedto
disarmwithTrunkPop. Note: Thisoutputcan alsobeprogrammed tooperateother
accessoriesordevices,consult yourinstaller.
RemoteChannels2, 3, 4,5, and6(Optional,Requiresspecial programming)
Theseoutputsareprogrammableforavarietyoffunctions.Thedefaultsettingsarefor
standardfeatureslikedomelight, hornhonkandremotestarting.Theseoutputsare
programmable formomentary, latched,ortimed.Theseoutputscan onlybeprogrammedfor
onefunction.

CarjackProtection:2Modes of Operation
CarjackModeis designedtoprotectyouinaHold-Upsituation.Thereare2-waysof
activatingCarjack,passively thruthe doorsandactivelythrutheremote.WhenCarjack
triggers,itwill starta30 secondcountdown.Aftercountdown,the siren,hornandlightswill
flashfor3minutes.Carjackwill triggeragainwhen theignitionisturned offand on.The
vehiclewill not startuntil Carjackisdeactivated. Carjack isprogrammableON orOFF.
PassiveCarjackusingtheValetButton:
Whiledriving yourvehicle,presstheValet/Overridebutton once.The CarjackModeis now
readytoprotectyou.When anydoorisopenandclosed,the30secondCarjackcountdown
starts.TheParking Lightswill flashoncethe LEDwill begintoflashrapidly during
countdown.
•ToDeactivateCarjack during30secondcountdown: Withthe
IgnitionON,presstheUnlockButton(LEDstopsflashing).After
the30 second countdown,thealarmwill triggerand theremote
controlcan’tdeactivateCarjack.
•ToDeactivateCarjackwhiletriggered: Withthe IgnitionON,
pressandholdtheValetOverridebutton(6seconds)untilalarm
turnsoff.
Active Carjack usingtheRemote:
Whiledriving vehicle,scrollScroll-Wheel“DOWN”to ANTI-HIJACK
andpressbutton # 4.The 30second Carjackcountdownstartsinstantly
(LED startsflashingrapidly). After30 secondscountdown,thealarmwill
triggerand theremotecontrolcan’tdeactivate.Thecountdownwill
continue withthe ignitionturned off.

ForCarjackon1-WaySidekickremote,pressthe Buttons
atthe sametime.

RemoteEngineStarting:
Pressand hold the RemoteStart Buttonuntil the remotecontrolbeepsa
2nd time.
1)Parkinglightsflashtwiceandthesystemwill chirp3timesfor
audibleconfirmation.The2-WayLCD Pagerwill givevoice
confirmation “EngineON”.
2)AftertheIgnitionandAccessorycircuitsturn fora fewseconds,the
StarterMotorengages.
3)AfterEngine StartsandRuns, theParkingLightsflash 3times.The
2-WayLCD Pagerwill givevoiceconfirmation “CarStarted”.
4)Engine will remainrunning forprogrammed runtimeuntilresetwith
Brakepedal.Thesystemwill chirp4timeswithBrakeReset. If
needed, theenginecan beturnedoff withremotetransmitter.
5)The2-WayPagerwillgivevoiceconfirmation “EngineOFF”.
Notes:
•Theremotewill displayan Iconwhilevehicleis running.
•Thesystemwill attempttoRemoteStart 4times.
•TheChirpswithRemoteStartcanbeprogrammedONorOFF.
•TheDoorLocksareprogrammableONorOFF withAbortRemote
Start.
•If vehicledoesn’tremotestart, thesystemhasonboardLED
Diagnostics.
RemoteStartDiagnostics:
If thesystemdoesn’tremotestart,theStatusLEDflashesanerrorcodetoidentifythe
problemarea.
•SOLIDLED=ValetService Mode.Thesystemis inValetMode.ToexitValet Mode,
turnthe Ignitionon,pressandholdValetButtonforabout5secondsuntilLEDgoes
out. Unitisnowout of Valet Modeandshouldperformaremotestart.
•2LEDFlashes =ProblemwithHood Switch. Makesurehoodis closed.
•3LEDFlashes =ProblemwithBrake Switch. Therecouldbeabadbrakelight.
Manydualfilamentlightbulbsconnectthe brakeandparklightstogetherwhen bulb
goesbad. Checkto make sureallbrakelightsworkproperly.Ifusinghandbrake,but
surethehand brakeis set.
•4LEDFlashes =LowBatteryVoltage. TheBatteryvoltageisbelow11.5volts.
•5LEDFlashes =IgnitionOnbeforeRemoteStart.
•6LEDFlashes=TachProblem. The Tachsourcemayneedtobereprogrammed,
contact yourinstaller.
•8LEDFlashes =Diesel Waitto StartTimeOut (120seconds).
•9LEDFlashes=RemoteStartFailed4Times. Contactyourinstallertohave
systemchecked out.

IDLEDOWN Mode:(Take OverOperation)
Thismodeallowsthe remotestartertotakeoveroperationofyourvehiclewhileitis parked
andidling.Thevehicleisputintoaremotestartedconditionbeforeyouexitanditwill
remainrunning fortheprogrammedrun time,untilyousteponbrake,oruntil theremote
start buttonis pressed.
Example: Youpullup toaconveniencestoreforaquickstop,"IdleDown"modekeeps
enginerunningwhenyouexitthe vehicle,(withkeysinhand)remotelock/armalarm.When
youreturn,unlock/disarmalarm, turnignitionON and driveaway.
IDLEDOWN Mode:ExitingtheVehicle
1)Withenginerunning,pressthe Lock+RemoteStart Buttononremotecontrol.The
Lightswill flashonceforconfirmation.
2)TurnOFF Ignitionandremovekey.Parking Lightswill turnON.
3)Engineshouldremainrunning.
4)Exitvehicleand remotelockdoorsif desired.
5)Enginewillremainrunningforprogrammedrun time,untilyoustepon brake,orpress
the remotestartButton.
Turbo Timer:ProgrammableON orOFF
TheoptionalTurbo Timermodeallowsthe RemoteStartertokeep a
TurboorTurboDieselvehiclerunningfor1to6minutes[selectively]
afteryouremovethe keyandexitthevehicle.Thisis handyforturbo
cool-downwithouttheneed forexpensiveturbotimers.Whenthis
optionisactivated,the enginewillstayrunning whenthe ignition key
turnsoff. Therun timeoptionsare1,3and 6minutes.ToabortTurbo
timer,steponbrakeorpressthe remotestartbutton.
Thereare2Turbo Modesof Operation
Option#22:Turbo TimerActivateswithIgnitionOFF
•Thismodeactivatesautomatically everytimeignition keyturnsoff. ToAbort Turbo
Timer,pressbrakepedalwithignitionkeyoff orpressremotestartbutton.Not
compatiblewithall vehicles.
Option#24:Turbo TimerActivateswithRemoteStartButton
•Thismoderequirespressingremotestart buttonbeforeturningoff ignition key. The
timerstartswhenremotestart buttonis pressed.
