1. Introduction
TheBluetooth headsetBH22 allows youfreedomtomakeandreceivecalls
whileon themoveorintheoffice,Youcanconnecttheheadsettoacompatible
phonethatsupportsBluetoothwireless technology.Readthis user guide
carefullybefore usingtheheadset.Readalsotheuser guideforyourphone,
whichprovidesimportant safetyandmaintenanceinformation.Keeptheheadset
out ofreachofsmall children.
Bluetooth wireless technology
Bluetoothwirelesstechnologymakesitpossibletoconnectcompatible
communication deviceswithout usingcables.ABluetooth connectiondoesnot
require thatthephoneandtheheadsetbeinlineofsight,butbothdevicesshould
bewithin10meters(30feet)ofeachother,Connections canbesubjectto
interference fromobstructions, suchaswallsorother electronicdevices.
TheheadsetiscompliantwithBluetooth Specification 2.0supportingthe
followingprofiles:Headsetprofiles1.1and Hands-Free Profiles1.5checkwith
themanufacturesofother devicestodeterminetheircompatibilitywiththis
device.
Theremayberestrictions on usingBluetooth technologyinsome

Overview
Theheadsetcontains thefollowingparts asshownin thefigure:

Before youcanstartusingtheheadset,youmustchargethebatteryandpairthe
headsetwith acompatiblephone.
Note:Partsoftheheadsetaremagnetic,Metallicmaterials maybeattractedto
theheadset.Do notplacecreditcardsorother magneticstoragemedianearthe
headset, becauseinformationstoredonthem maybeerased.
Chargerand batteries
TheBluetooth headsetBH22canbechargedeither bychargerorbytheUSB
portofcomputer.Pleasenoticethatit is intendedtousewiththecharger thatis
includedin thepackage.
Chargethebattery
This device hasabuilt-in, rechargeablebattery.
1.Connectthechargertoawall outletorconnecttheheadsettotheUSBportof
computer.Theredindicatorlightis on duringcharging. If chargingdoesnot
start,disconnectthecharger,plugit again,andretry.Chargingthebattery
fullymaytakeup to2hours.
2.Whenthebatteryis fullycharged,theredindicatorlightwill turnoff.
Disconnectthechargerfromthewall outletandtheheadsetordisconnectthe
headsetfromUSB chargingcable.
Thefullychargedbatteryhaspower forupto4hoursoftalkingtime orupto60
hoursofstandbytime.However,thetalkingand standbytimesmayvarywhen
usedwith different mobilephones,usagesettings,usagestyles,and
environments.
Whenthebatteryis runningout ofpower,theredindicatorlightstartstoflash
and there will be5prompt sound every20 seconds.
Pairtheheadsetwith acompatiblephone
1. makesure yourheadsetis turnoff
2.pushtheanswerkeyfor8seconduntiltheblueandredlight flashes
alternately
3.ActivatetheBluetoothfeatureonthephone,andsetthephonetosearchfor
Bluetooth devices. See theuser guideofyourphoneforinstructions.

4. Selecttheheadset(BH22)fromthelist offound devices.
5.Enter thepasscode0000topairand connecttheheadsettoyourphone.In
some phonesyoumayneedtomaketheconnection separatelyafter pairing.
See theuserguideofyourphonefordetails.You onlyneedtopairthe
headsetwith yourphoneonce.
6.If thepairingissuccessful,theheadset sbluelightwill flash3timesbriefly
forthefirsttime follow byasingleflashevery7seconds.Theheadset s
nameappearsin thephonemenuwhereyoucanviewthecurrentlypaired
Bluetooth devices.
DisconnecttheheadsetfromthephoneTo disconnecttheheadsetfromyour
phone(forexample,toconnectthephonetoanotherBluetoothdevice),doone
ofthefollowing:
Switchoff theheadset.
Disconnecttheheadsetin theBluetooth menu ofyourphone.
Movetheheadsetmore than10 meters(30 feet)awayfromthephone.
Youdonotneedtodeletethepairingwith theheadsettodisconnectit.
Reconnectthepairedheadsettoyourphone
To connecttheheadsettoyourphone,switchontheheadset,makethe
connectionin theBluetoothmenuofyourphone,orpressand holdthe
answer/end key.
Youcansetyourphonetoconnectwiththeheadsetautomaticallywhenthe
headsetis switchedon. See theuser guideofyourphonefordetails.
■Troubleshooting
If youcannotconnecttheheadsettoyourphone, doasfollows:
Ensure thattheheadsetischarged,switchedon, pairedwithand connectedto
yourphone.
EnsurethattheBluetooth feature isactivatedon yourphone. Checkthat
theheadsetiswithin10 meter(30feet)ofyourphoneandthatthere areno
obstructionsbetweentheheadsetandthephone,suchaswallsorother
electronicdevices.
3. Basicuse
■Call handling
To makeacall,useyourphoneinthenormalwaywhentheheadsetisconnected
toyourphone.
Ifyourphonesupportsvoicedialingwiththisdevice,presstheanswer/endkey
whennocall isinprogress,and proceedasdescribedintheuserguideofyour
phone.

To answeracall,press theanswer/endkey,orusethephonekeys.If the
automaticanswer functionisseton,thephoneautomaticallyanswersthe
incomingcall after onering.
To end acall, press theanswer/end key, orusethephonekeys.
4. Batteryinformation
Yourdeviceispoweredbyarechargeablebattery.Thefull performanceofa
newbatteryis achievedonlyafter two orthree completechargeanddischarge
cycles.Thebatterycanbechargedanddischargedhundreds oftimes,but itwill
eventuallywear out.Rechargeyourbatteryonlywith compatiblechargers
designatedforthis device.
Unplugthecharger fromtheelectricalplugandthedevice whennotinuse.Do
not leaveafullychargedbatteryconnectedtoacharger,sinceoverchargingmay
shortenits lifetime.If leftunused,afullychargedbatterywill loseitscharge
over time.
Never useanycharger thatis damaged.
Leavingthedeviceinhot orcold places,suchasin aclosedcarin summeror
winterconditions,will reducethecapacityandlifetimeofthebattery.Always
trytokeepthebatterybetween15℃and25℃(59℉and 77℉).Adevicewith
ahot orcold batterymaynot worktemporarily,evenwhenthebatteryisfully
charged.Batteryperformanceisparticularlylimitedintemperatureswell below
freezing.
Do not disposeofbatteriesinafire astheymayexplode.Batteriesmayalso
explodeifdamaged.Disposeofbatteriesaccordingtolocalregulations.Please
recyclewhenpossible. Do notdisposeashouseholdwaste.
5. Care and maintenance
Yourdevice isaproductofsuperiordesignandcraftsmanshipandshouldbe
treatedwith care. Thesuggestions below will helpyou

protectyourwarrantycoverage.
Keepall accessoriesand enhancements out ofthereachofsmall children.
Keepthedevice dry.Precipitation,humidity,andall typesofliquidsor
moisturecancontainmineralsthatwill corrodeelectroniccircuits. If yourdevice
doesgetwet, allow it todrycompletely.
Donot useorstorethedeviceindusty,dirtyareas.Itsmovingpartsand
electroniccomponents canbedamaged.
Do notstorethedevice inhot areas.Hightemperaturescanshortenthelifeof
electronicdevices, damagebatteries, and warpormeltcertain plastics.
Do notstore thedevice incoldareas.Whenthedevice returnstoitsnormal
temperature,moisture canform insidethedeviceanddamageelectroniccircuit
boards.
Do not drop,knock,orshakethedevice.Roughhandlingcanbreakinternal
circuit boards and finemechanics.
Do ot useharshchemicals,cleaningsolvents, orstrongdetergentstocleanthe
device.
Do not paintthedevice.Paintcanclog themovingpartsandpreventproper
operation.
