CyberGate
Microsoft Teams is the hub for team collaboration in Microsoft Ofce 365 that integrates people,
content, conversations and tools your team needs. Via the CyberGate application that runs in
Microsoft Azure you can now connect a Verkada TD52 Video Intercom to your Microsoft Teams
environment. Microsoft Teams users can answer incoming intercom calls – with 2-way audio and live
video – on the Teams desktop client, Teams desk phone or Teams Smartphone app and open the
door for visitors.
CyberGate is a subscription based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) hosted in Azure. With CyberGate
there is:
no need to setup a hosting environment,
no need to download or install any software from CyberTwice or a 3rd party,
no need to install additional Virtual Machines,
no need for a Session Border Controller (SBC) or extra licenses for your existing SBC
no need for to get additional PSTN like phone numbers for your SIP intercoms.

Verkada TD52 Video Intercom
For this document we used the Verkada TD52 Video Intercom (from now on named ‘Verkada’) to
connect to the CyberGate service (from now on named ‘CyberGate’).
Secure communication with CyberGate.
The Verkada is also certied for secure communication with CyberGate.
Follow the next steps to congure the Verkada to connect it to CyberGate.

Connect the Verkada
Connect the Verkada to the network, power it on and open a webbrowser to:
https://command.verkada.com
1. Create a new organization or log in to your existing organization
2. Add the Verkada to your organization
3. Congure the verkada
Navigate to the Receivers menu.

Click the + symbol to add a receiver for the SIP Phone.
Add the Teams user to dial. Use the Teams user name but without the domain:
*For example, the user ‘Koos Ridder, with the Teams name:
[e-mail]
will translate to this destination address:
koos.ridder
Conrm the input by clicking the ‘Check mark’.
The conguration of the Receiver (user that receives the call) is now done.

Navigate to the Settings menu.
Scroll down to the Call settings.

Click ‘Add Account’ to add the CyberGate SIP account.
Provide / change the following information:
Required
SIP Account Name Enter a name for the SIP account (e.g. CyberGate)
Domain / Server cybergate.cybertwice.com
User ID / Extension Use the Username provided by the CyberGate Management Portal
Password / Secret Use the Password provided by the CyberGate Management Portal
Optional
Authentication Username Use the Username provided by the CyberGate Management Portal
Transport Mode Select TCP (unencrypted) or TLS (encrypted)
Click the blue ‘Save’ button to conrm

Enable the ‘Auto Answer’ option.

Conguration of the Verkada is now done. Press the green button symbol on the touchscreen of the
Verkada to initiate a call to the congured Teams User.
If congured correctly, the Teams client will notify you of an incoming call. Answer it by clicking the
phone horn or camera symbol.
The Verkada will announce that you have to accept the call by pressing the # or * key. To do that
click the ‘Dial Pad’ button in the Teams bar and click either # or *.
The call will now be established and video will be displayed.
To open the door from the Teams call, use the -already open- dial pad and click on one of the
numbers (0 - 9) to trigger the relay in the Verkada and open the door.
