CYCLETOTE Dog Trailer Cozy User manual

Fabric Boom
The fabric boom with the, plasc installed, is shipped in place. At the front and back ends of the trailer, open the Velcro in the
fabric. Wrap the fabric over the top struts, then re-aach the Velcro. The sides aach later, aer the Fabric Top is installed.
Leaving the boom only parally aached makes it easier to put on the roll bars.
Hardboard Floor
The hardboard oor is installed rough side up. Use the loop in the board to aach a short leash to
your dog. If you need more than one leash to control your dog, loop another leash either to the back
ring or to the base of the roll bars.

the sides of the frame in the center (the fabric will go over this 3rd bar.)
Insert 2 roll bars (one for each end) into the sleeves of the canopy top fabric.
Remove the boom half of the collar clamps from the 2 end roll bars, spread out the roll bars and place

Finish aaching the boom fabric. Secure the boom fabric to the frame on each side, opening the Velcro and rolling it over the
top of the side rails of the frame. The boom fabric has Velcro loops that need to be aached around the boom of frame’s
sides.
The canopy top now aaches with the Velcro to the sides of boom fabric.
Back Cover, Front Mesh and Front Vinyl Rain Guard
Back cover: Start at the top center-back of the canopy top and aach the center of the back cover to the canopy top. From
the center, work your way down on both sides unl the fabric lines up evenly and reaches the Velcro on the fabric boom.
Front Mesh: Start at the center-front of the canopy top and aach the front mesh to the canopy top. From the center, work
your way down on both sides unl the fabric lines up evenly and reaches the Velcro on the front of the fabric boom.
Vinyl Rain Guard; The vinyl rain guard ts over the front mesh and will only aach to the mesh, not to the canopy top.
Wheels
NOTE: If you have a braking system, skip this secon, go to the separately enclosed Braking System Instrucons, and then return
to Wheel Reectors.
If the Wheel’s Quick Release Skewers are separate from the wheels ,unscrew the nut and remove one spring. Then slide the
skewer through the axle of the hub (center of the wheel). Replace the spring with the smaller end towards the inside, and loosely
aach the nut.
Set the wheel into the dropouts of the
frame with the quick release lever to the
outside of the trailer.
Tighten the nut unl the
quick release lever can be
closed ghtly (press lever
in, not around in a circle).
The wheels should be very secure in the drop outs.
Wheel Reectors
If not pre-installed, Install the wheel reectors into the wheels with
enough space from the tube valve to add air easily to the res.
Tow bar
Insert the two red set screws (wing nuts) into the threaded holes in the main frame
just far enough to hold them in place. Slide the tow bar downwards, between the
main frame and the two notched front struts.
There are two grooves in the tow bar. Select the grooves that allow your trailer to sit
closest to level. Adjust the tow bar while you ghten the red set screws by hand so
that the screw ps t into the indentaons in the front of the tow bar.
When ghtened securely, the tow bar is pressed rmly against the struts to prevent
it from loosening.
Jogger Stroller
If you are installing the Jogger wheel, instead of the tow bar, follow Jogger Stroller
instrucons which are a included separately, then return to Rear Reector.

Seat Post Hitch
Aach the hitch to the seat post with the bevel facing upward at a height which allows the trailer to be as parallel to the ground as
possible. Open, then re-ghten the hitch’s collar evenly on both sides of the seat post by screwing each bolt in part way, and ro-
tang between bolts as you ghten. Tighten the hitch to the seat post so that it cannot move.
The ball joint is at the p of the tow bar. Feed the ball joint, top to boom, through the hitch. The ball joint should rotate freely in
the hitch.
Aaching Trailer to Seat Post Hitch
Spin the hitch nut onto the ball joint’s threads, with the teeth pressing against the
hitch. Hand ghten rmly.
Safety Strap
Wrap the safety strap around the seat post and aach, keeping it loose enough to
avoid binding while cornering.
Rear Reector
Install the rear reector on the mount at the rear center of the trailer. The oponal Blinky light can be mounted here instead.
Safety Flag
Join the two pieces of the agpole to make a 6’ long pole. Insert the safety ag into the tube at the le rear of the trailer. The
movement of the ag draws drivers aenon and makes the trailer more visible.
