NEW H4/H7 LED Bulb Mounting Instructions
For DC Use Only
NOTE: Your new Cyclops LED headlight replacement bulb has a removable base to aid in installation. It is
the customers responsibility to ensure that their headlight is powered by DC power. On average,
modern motorcycles are DC powered. However, most snow machines, 2 strokes and carbureted dirt
bikes are generally AC powered. Rectifiers can be purchased from Cyclops in these cases.
1. Remove the Cyclops bulb-base from your Cyclops bulb housing.
NOTICE: Edges of the base are sharp. To remove the base, gently push down & turn
counterclockwise.
•Hold the fan with one hand, having the bulb face you. Notice the keyway’s (notches) and their
sizes. Push down on the base and twist counterclockwise with your other hand to release.
•Slide the base up and over the top of the LED. Use caution to avoid damaging the emitters.
NOTE: Keyways are different sizes! Cyclops is not responsible for broken bases.

2. Install the Cyclops bulb-base into the headlight housing reflector and secure with factory clips.
3. Install the bulb by inserting it into the base and turning it clockwise to lock it into the base.
4. Attach the headlight housing rubber boot to your H4 bulb (not all bikes have a rubber boot).
a. Some bikes will have a rubber boot on the back of the headlight reflector housing. Make
sure to push-fit the boot over the Cyclops bulb base.
i. The boot should not push pressure against the fan housing when mounted
properly.
b. Most rubber boots do not need to be modified; however, some rubber boots may need
to be trimmed to snug fit the boot to the bulb properly.
c. If the diver and connector are outside of the headlight housing, secure the Cyclops
headlight driver with zip ties.

NOTE: Do not push on the back of the fan housing cover when removing or installing the bulb base.
The housing cover is a soft metal and can bend down against the fan and cause it to not function.
DAMAGE TO THE FAN HOUSING COVER IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARANTY

5. Tuck the wire connector and driver in the area between the headlight reflector and the outside
shell.
6. The emitters should be facing left & right. (Not up & down) when viewed from the front as in the
pictures below.
7. Check the headlight aim, it is often necessary to re-aim your headlight after bulb install.
