remove any unit covers or panels. There are no user
serviceable parts in this product.

expose this equipment to rain or moisture.
HEED WARNINGS: All warnings on the product and in the
operang instrucons should be adhered to.
READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS: All the safety and operang
instrucons should be read before the product is operated.
RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS: The safety and operang
instrucons should be retained for future reference.
FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS: All operang and use instrucons
should be followed.
CLEANING: Unplug this product from the mains before
cleaning. Do not use liquid or aerosol cleaners. Use a damp
cloth for cleaning.
WATER AND MOISTURE: Do not use this product near
water - for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen
sink, or laundry tub, in a wet basement; or near a
swimming pool and the like. The product must not be
exposed to dripping or splashing and no objects lled with
liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the product.
HEAT: The product should be situated away from heat
sources such as radiators, stoves, or any other products
(including ampliers) that produce heat.
VENTILATION: Slots and openings in the cabinet are
provided for venlaon, to ensure reliable operaon of
the product and to protect it from overheang and these
openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings
should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed,
sofa, rug or similar surface. This product should not be
placed in a built-in installaon such as a bookcase or rack
unless proper venlaon is provided or the manufacturer’s
instrucons have been adhered to.
OBJECT OR LIQUID ENTRY: Never push objects of any kind
into this product through openings as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could
result in a re or electric shock.
ACCESSORIES: Do not place this product on an unstable
cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The product may
fall, causing serious injury to a child or adult, and serious
damage to the product. Use only with a cart, stand, tripod,
bracket or table recommended by the manufacturer, or
sold with the product. Any mounng of the product should
follow the manufacturer’s instrucons, and should use a
mounng accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
POWER SOURCES: This product should be operated
only from the type of power source indicated on the
marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power
supply to your home, consult your product dealer or local
power company. For products intended to operate from
baery power, or other sources, refer to the operang
instrucons.
OVERLOADING: Never overload wall outlets, extension
cords, or integral convenience receptacles. This can result
in an increased risk of re or electric shock.
POWER CORD PROTECTION: Power supply cords should
be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or
pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying
parcular aenon to cords at plugs, convenience
receptacles, and the point where they exit from the
product.
NAKED FLAMES: No naked ame sources, such as candles,
must be placed on this product.
LIGHTNING: For added protecon for this product during
a lightning storm, or when it is le unaended or unused
for long periods of me, unplug it from the wall outlet and
disconnect the antenna or cable system. This will prevent
damage to the product due to lightning and power-line
surges.
BATTERIES: Warning: Baeries shall not be exposed to
excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
CAUTION! POLARISED CONNECTOR (CANADA and USA):
To prevent electrical shock, match wide blade of plug to
wide slot, fully insert. Do not alter or remove this plug if
it does not t your mains power socket. Have a suitable
socket installed by a competent electrician.
ACCESS TO THE MAINS PLUG: The means to disconnect
this product from the mains supply is the mains plug.
Ensure that the mains plug is accessible at all mes.
IMPORTANT! Read before operang this equipment!
CAUTION: The exclamaon mark is to draw your
aenon to important instrucons and safety
procedures in this manual.
ATTENTION: The lightning ash warns you of the
risk of electrical shock presented by components
inside this product. Unauthorised personnel
must not open this unit.
MOVING THE PRODUCT: A product and cart
combinaon should be moved with care.
Sudden stops, excessive force, and uneven
surfaces may cause the product and cart to
overturn.
ATTACHMENTS: Do not use aachments not recommended
by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.

Power supply
Connect the moulded IEC connector of the supplied AC
cord into the power inlet on the power supply. Connect
the power connector to the turntable.
The mains supply requirement of your amplier is marked
on a label on the rear panel. Before connecng, check that
this voltage is the same as your mains supply.
115-230V Products: Voltage Range 110V-240V
There are no user replaceable fuses in this unit.
Servicing
Do not aempt to service this product yourself as opening
or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage
or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualied service
personnel.
CONDITIONS REQUIRING SERVICE: Unplug this product
from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualied service
personnel when:
• When the power supply cord or plug is damaged.
• If liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the
product.
• If the product has been exposed to rain or water.
• If the product has been dropped or damaged in any
way.
• If the product does not operate normally by following
the operang instrucons. (Adjust only those controls
that are covered by the operang instrucons.
Improper adjustment of other controls may result
in damage requiring extensive work by a qualied
technician to restore the product to its normal
operaon).
• When the product exhibits a disnct change in
performance.
REPLACEMENT PARTS: When replacement parts are
required, be sure the service technician has used
replacements specied by the manufacturer or have the
same characteriscs as the original part. Unauthorised
substuons may result in re, electric shock, or other
hazards.
SAFETY CHECK: Upon compleon of any service or repairs
to this product, ask the service technician to perform
safety checks to determine that the product is in proper
operang condion.

NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed
to provide reasonable protecon against harmful interference in a residenal
installaon. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy
and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instrucons, may cause
harmful interference to radio communicaons. However, there is no guarantee that
interference will not occur in a parcular installaon. If this equipment does cause
harmful interference to radio or television recepon, which can be determined by
turning the equipment o and on, the user is encouraged to try and correct the

Please read these instrucons carefully before commencing
installaon. They provide full guidance to help you install
your turntable safely and correctly.
Preparaons for Installaon
Before installing your Cyrus turntable check that the
following items are included in the packing.
• Power supply
• Power Cables for UK, US, Europe
• Plaer Mat
• Plinth
• Plaer
• Belt
• Replacement Bearing Oil
• Quick-Start guide
• Cartridge alignment template
Aer removing these items, please retain the packaging.
Install the turntable in a well venlated locaon away from
sources of high temperature, dust or humidity. Never stand
the turntable under another unit or on any surface likely to
obstruct its cooling or venlaon.
Place the plinth in the desired locaon. This must be a at
surface that is capable of supporng the full weight of the
turntable once assembled.

To avoid possible damage to your audio system, it
is essenal to disconnect all system components
from the mains supply before connecng or
disconnecng audio interconnects.
Important – read before making any connecons Fing the plaer
• Remove the cover strip from the bearing hole on the
plinth. Carefully insert the spindle of the plaer into the
bearing hole and slowly lower the plaer into place.
Gently spin the plaer to ensure it spins easily. Fit the
supplied plaer mat onto the plaer. Let the plaer
sele for around 15 minutes before turning on the
turntable.
• Note: The bearing is pre-lubricated at the factory so no
user lubricaon should be required.
Fing the belt
• Fit the belt rstly around the plaer and then into the
motor pulley groove. Gently rotate the plaer by hand
for a few turns and the belt will self-align.
Fing a cartridge
• If your Cyrus dealer has not ed a cartridge, t the
cartridge and align it in accordance with the cardge
manufacturer’s instrucons. The supplied cartridge
alignment template should be used to aid this process.
• The tonearm wires are colour-coded as follows:
Red - right hot
Green - right ground
White - le hot
Blue - le ground

Arm balancing
• Fit the balance weight (1).
• With the cartridge correctly mounted and with the
stylus guard removed, ensure that the tracking force
dial (2) and bias adjustment (5) are set to zero. Adjust
the balance weight unl the arm is “oang” with the
stylus approximately 1mm clear of the record.
• Note: It is normal for the arm to swing back towards
the arm clip posion even if the bias is set to zero.
Therefore it is advisable to gently hold the arm bearing
carrier (just below the tracking dial) this prevenng
horizontal movement during the balancing procedure.
Applying tracking pressure
• Once the arm is balanced, rotate the tracking force
adjustment dial to the required tracking force.
Numbers ‘0’ to ‘3’ are marked on the dial. if in
doubt, it is usually advisable to use a tracking force
that corresponds to the upper limits of the cartridge
manufacturer’s range.
Applying an-skang (bias) adjustment
• Set the bias adjustment slider located to the same
gure as the cartridge tracking force pressure quoted by
your cartridge manufacturer.
• Note: This is not crical and a gure of between 1.5 &
2.0 will normally be suitable.
Connecng analogue audio
• Connect the le and right cables to the Phono input of
your amplier of phono pre-amp, using the MM/MC
input as appropriate to your cartridge.
External power supply - PSX-R
The PSX-R is a unique DC power supply that will upgrade
the sonic performance of compable products in the Cyrus
range.
CAUTION:
• Disconnect both the PSX-R and Turntable from the
mains.
• Plug the mul-pin interconnect from the PSX-R into the
PSX-R socket on the back panel.
• Connect a mains supply to both units.
NOTE: Connecon of a PSX-R is detected automacally, so
no internal adjustments are required.
Connecng to the AC mains supply
Connect the socket on the AC Power block to the power
inlet on the Turntable. Now connect the AC power cable to
a suitable AC power point.
NOTE: The means to disconnect this product from the
mains supply is the mains plug. Ensure that the mains plug
is accessible at all mes.

Power
Mains power
In regular use mains power can be le connected
permanently.
When unaended for a long period (holidays etc) mains
power should be disconnected.
Standby
When mains power is connected, the standby key
() is used for power control.
Speed selecon
Press either the 33 or 45 key to select the appropriate
speed. The plaer will reach the desired speed within a
few seconds.
Playing a record
Place the record on the plaer mat. Select the correct
speed and wait for the plaer to get up to speed. Release
the tone arm by moving arm clip (4) to the right. li
the tonearm with the cueing device (3) by moving it
backwards. Using the nger li (6), gently move the
tonearm above the lead in groove on the record and gently
lower by moving the cueing device forward.
Once the side of the record has nished, li the tonearm
with the cueing device and rotate the tonearm back to the
right.

Troubleshoong guide
If your turntable is not operang properly, disconnect the
power and check carefully all connecons.
If you are in any doubt, consult your retailer.
No sound

distributor may vary the terms of this warranty, which is
personal to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

Warranty claims must wherever possible be made through
the retailer from whom the equipment was purchased.
This warranty excludes:
• Damage caused through neglect, accident, misuse,
wear and tear, or through incorrect installaon,
adjustment or repair by unauthorised personnel. Any
unauthorised servicing will result in loss of warranty.
• Liability for damage or loss occurring in transit to or
from the purchaser.
• Consequenal damage, loss or injury, arising from or in
conjuncon with this equipment.
Equipment for aenon under warranty should be
consigned return carriage paid. If returned equipment is
found to comply with the published specicaon, CYRUS
reserves the right to raise a charge.
The above condions do not aect your statutory rights as
a consumer.
WEEE

with your household waste. This product should be handed
over to a designated collecon point to be recycled. Your
