protection will automatically switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the
appliance to cool and reset before use.
Important –Descaling your Kensington Kettle/Reducing Limescale Build up
To prolong the life of your kettle it is imperative that it is descaled regularly.
The frequency of the descaling depends on the hardness of the water in your
area and how often the appliance is used.
In extreme hard water areas, descaling your kettle at least once a month is
highly recommended also the use of filtered water in your kettle will increase
the life expectancy and help prevent excessive lime scale build up.
If the kettle switches off before it boils or has a white deposit building up inside
then it will need to be descaled.
Do not use vinegar but a commercially available descaling agent; carefully
follow the quantities recommended in the instructions of the agent:
Push the On Off Switch (7) down which
will illuminate and the water will begin
to boil.
At the end of the boiling cycle the On Off
Switch (7) will automatically switch off
(pop up).
Wait until the water has finished boiling
before removing the kettle from the
Base (8).
Fill your kettle to the ‘MAX’ mark on the
body or the water quantity
recommended by the descaling product.

according to the descaling products
instructions.
