.1 DESCRIPTION OF THE TPM-RKE ANALYZER 9936
The princip l of this instrument is to w ken nd then retrieve d t from sm rt
v lves mounted on vehicle wheels in order to verify their identifiers.
The instrument inter cts with the sm rt v lves without cont ct through wireless
communic tion.

.2 FEATURES
..1 RADIO FREQUENCIES
Aw kening tr nsmission frequency: 125 kHz (LF).
Reception frequencies: 433 MHz or 315 MHz (RF).

.3 CONNECTORS
..1 SUPPLY CONNECTOR
To supply the instrument nd rech rging the intern l b ttery.
The volt ge of the ch rger is 24 V DC.
..2 USB CONNECTOR
The USB connector llows the instrument softw re progr ms to
be upd ted.

KEY FUNCTION
Power on: Press this key to power on the instrument.
Power off: Press nd hold the key (more th n 3
seconds) to power off the instrument.

The LCD screen displ ys the p r meters menus nd
the me surements results.

B ttery level light: When this light is on, the b ttery level is too low, ch rge it.
PASS
P ss test light: When this light is on, the instrument h s correctly
received the fr me from the v lve (or the RKE).
FAIL
F il test light: When this light is on, the instrument h s not received the
fr me from the v lve (or the RKE).
TX
Tr nsmission light: When this light is fl shing, the instrument is
currently tr nsmitting 125 KHz frequency to ctiv te v lve.
CHARGE
B ttery ch rging light: This light turns on when the instrument is being
ch rged.

Power on nd off the instrument.
N vig tion menu, "up".
N vig tion menu, "down".
Select Key, press to enter in the chosen function or v lid te p r meter.
C ncel key, return to the previous menu or function without p r meter v lid tion.
Test Key, to initi te test cycle.

.6 BATTERY SUPPLY
The instrument uses Li-ion b ttery, the utonomy depends of the number of
cycles c rried out. It b ttery must be rech rged with 24 V DC extern l power
supply (Included).
..1 BATTERY STATUS
When the b ttery is too low, the "LOW BATT" light is
fl shing for 2 seconds nd the instrument will
powered off.

.7 MEASUREMENT
..1 KEY MEASUREMENT (RKE TEST)
This menu llows putting the instrument in key test
mode (RKE).

pressing the key.

centimetres) nd press ny button of the key fob.

..2 VALVE MEASUREMENT (TPM FUNCTIONS)
Use the following directions to test the function lity of TPM sensor:
Select "TPM FUNCTION" by using the nd
keys nd v lid te using the key.

key (existing ye rs from 1997 to 2006).

Next, by using the nd keys, select the
body code of the v lve to be tested nd v lid te with
the
key (this code is in correspondence with
vehicle).

trigger selection nd v lid te using the
key (you

First case: a valve is detected:
When the instrument h s detected fr me from the
v lve, the "PASS" light is on nd it displ ys the v lve
ch r cteristics.
NB: the identifier displayed on the screen must be the
same as the one written on the valve.

After few moments, if no v lve fr me is detected, the

If the instrument doesn't receive ny inform tion from the v lve or if the v lve is
not comp tible with the p r meters, fter 36 seconds time out on the
instrument stops its cycle nd the "FAIL" light is switched on.

..1 PARAMETERS MENU
This menu will llow the instrument to be configured ccording to the oper tor
preferences.
..1. Country
The p r meter "COUNTRY" llows the user to select the geogr phic v lves
region.
Select "SETTINGS" by using the nd
keys nd v lid te with the key.

JAPAN, MIDDLE EAST, EUROPE nd OTHER.
NB: the TPM function is not available for the Japan
country.

The p r meter "UNIT" llows the user to choose between the "METRIC" unit nd
the "US" unit.
Select "SETTINGS" by using the nd
keys nd v lid te with the key.

..3. Auto off
The "AUTO OFF" setting llows the user to turn off the instrument utom tic lly
fter cert in time without use. This is to s ve the b ttery before rech rge is
required.
Select "SETTINGS" by using the nd
keys nd v lid te with the key.

..4. Back lig t
The "BACK LIGHT" menu llows the user to djust the light intensity of the
displ y. The b ck light incre ses the b ttery consumption.
Select "SETTINGS" by using the nd

D t tr nsfer from the TPM/RKE An lyzer 9936 instrument to the St rSc n tool.
Connect the USB c ble from the TPM/RKE An lyzer 9936 instrument to the
St rSc n tool, then the St rSc n tool recognizes the inform tion to downlo d
utom tic lly.
..2 TPM/RKE ANALYZER PROGRAM UP-DATING
Connect the USB c ble between the computer nd the instrument, the USB
drivers must be inst lled first.
Press nd hold the nd the t the s me
time.
NB: in case of error of manipulation, to exit from this
menu, press the key.

When the USB c ble is connected, "CONFIGURED"
ppe rs on the screen.

On the computer open the tt ched file nd browser
will ppe r. Click on "LOAD".
The lo ding progress is displ yed nd when
completed, the instrument will boot to the m in menu.
Now it's possible to disconnect the USB c ble from the
PC nd the instrument.
