This guide explains the setup of a Daktronics SSP-100 portable
speaker system. Refer also to this short YouTube video:

Important Notes:
• Do not use if wind may potentially knock down speaker/tripod!
• Do not use in wet conditions!
• Do not allow amplier to get wet!
Equipment Setup
1. Loosen the tripod leg tting knob.
2. Extend the tripod legs, and then re-tighten the knob.
Note: Tripod legs should be spread as far outward as possible
(braces parallel to oor) for best stability.
3. Use the side handles in the speaker cabinet to lift it up, align the
mounting hole in the bottom of the cabinet with the tripod, and
gently place it atop the tripod.
4. Use supplied power cord to connect the speaker to 120 VAC
power and turn on the POWER switch. If using an extension cord,
ensure cord is long enough that the speaker can be raised
without pulling on power cords!
5. Firmly grip the handle and loosen the height adjustment knob
to carefully raise the speaker. The pressurized gas shock allows
the speaker to rise with very little effort. Once at the appropriate
height to reach the intended audience, re-tighten the knob.

Operation
Pairing Bluetooth
PAIR STATUS LED ashes when in pair mode.
• Apple Device:
a. Search Bluetooth on your wireless device.
b. The speaker device name is “300-798”. Select this device.
c. A quick beep and solid STATUS LED indicate the device is
connected to the amp and ready to play content.
• Android Device:
a. Go to Settings > Bluetooth and ensure Bluetooth is On.
b. The speaker device name is “300-798”. Select this device.
c. A quick beep and solid lit STATUS LED indicate the device is
connected to the amp and ready to play content.

NOTES:
• Bluetooth volume is only controlled by the connected device;
check device volume setting before starting content. Other
knobs on amplier should remain turned fully counterclockwise if
not in use.
• If your device was the last device connected to the speaker, just
press and hold the PAIR button on the speaker until you hear the
tone. The device will connect if Bluetooth is turned on.
• To connect the included wired microphone, simply plug the XLR
cable into the IN 1 or IN 2 input. Use the corresponding volume
knob to adjust the volume to the desired level.
When using a personal phone to play content, it may be helpful to
adjust the following settings to avoid distracting noises/interruptions.
• Apple Device:
a. Go to Settings > Sound & Haptics.
b. Disable Keyboard Clicks.
c. Set to Airplane Mode while playing content.
• Android Device:
a. Go to Settings > Sound & notication > Sound effects.
b. Disable Touch sound.
c. Set to Airplane mode while playing content.
