IMPORTANT
This appliance is only intended to produce ice, it is
not intended for the long term storage of ice. Move
any excess ice to a freezer for long term storage. Ice
that is left in the bucket will melt over time.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental
capabilities may be dierent or reduced, or who lack experience or knowledge, unless such persons receive
supervision or training to operate the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
• Sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments;
• Farm houses and by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
• Bed and breakfast type environments;
• Catering and similar non-retail applications.
Refrigerant and cyclopentane foaming material used for the appliance are ammable. Therefore, when the
appliance is scrapped, it shall be kept away from any re source and be recovered by a special recovering
company with corresponding qualication other than be disposed by combustion, so as to prevent
damage to the environment or any other harm.

Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a ammable propellant in this appliance.
This appliance is not recommended for use with sockets or main switches with the A/GFCI function, as it
may cause false tripping.
Careful handling, moving, and use of the icemaker to avoid either damaging the refrigerant tubing, or
increasing the risk of a leak.
All component parts shall be replaced with like components and that servicing shall be done by factory
authorized service personnel, so as to minimize the risk of possible ignition due to incorrect parts or
improper service.
The ice maker is to be installed in accordance with the Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems, ASHRAE
15. The ice maker shall not be installed in corridors or hallways of public buildings.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance must be grounded. Grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape
wire for the electrical current.
This appliance has a cord that has a grounding wire with a 3-prong plug. The power cord must be plugged
into an outlet that is properly grounded. If the outlet is a 2-prong wall outlet, it must be replaced with a
properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. The serial rating plate indicates the voltage and frequency the
appliance is designed for.
WARNING - Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock. Consult a qualied
electrician or service agent if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as
to whether the appliance is properly grounded.
Do not connect your appliance to extension cords or together with another appliance in the same wall
outlet. Do not splice the power cord. Do not under any circumstances cut or remove the third ground prong
from the power cord. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded (two prongs) adapters.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similar
qualied person in order to avoid hazard.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
LOCATION
• Place the ice maker on a sturdy and level surface.
• Position the ice maker away from sources of heat and avoid direct sunlight to ensure ecient
performance.
• Ensure at least 20 cm (7.9 inches) of space around the air inlet and outlet.
• If the ambient temperature is lower than 5°C (41°F), the ice maker may not operate correctly.
• Do not use this ice maker outdoors.
• Do not plug in the ice maker within 30 minutes of moving to avoid damage to internal components.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION
1. Remove and discard all packaging.
2. Place the ice maker in a suitable position.
3. Clean the ice maker and run the self-clean mode before using the ice maker for the rst time.
CONTROL PANEL
1. Full bucket indicator: Illuminates when the bucket is full of ice.
2. Low water indicator: Illuminates when the water level is too low to make more ice.
3. Power indicator: Illuminates when the ice maker is running.
4. Power button: Press to begin making ice.
MAKING ICE
1. Pour clean water into the water tank to the“Max
Fill Line”.
2. You must only use potable water to make ice.
3. Press the power button to begin making ice.
Note: The ice maker only makes ice, it does not
store ice. Ice left in the bucket will melt over time.
Move excess ice to a freezer for long term storage.
Make sure that all water is drained from the ice
maker when you are nished making ice. Do not
allow water to sit inside the ice maker longer than
12 hours.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
SELF CLEAN MODE
Self clean mode should be completed before you use the ice maker for the rst time and any time the ice
maker has been in storage for a long period of time. Self clean mode will remove any dust or residue from
internal components.
1. Add equals parts clean, potable water and white vinegar to the ice maker’s reservoir. Fill to the“Max
Fill Line”.
2. In standby mode, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to activate self clean. A beep will
sound to conrm.
3. The upper water bucket will be lled and evacuated. The pump will remain in continuous operation as
it feeds water to the bucket and evaporator coils. The cycle will run ve times. Upon completion, the ice
maker will return to standby mode.
4. Remove the drain cap and plug from the water outlet to drain the water and vinegar.
5. Add clean, potable water to the“Max Fill Line”.
6. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to run self clean mode again. This will act as a rinse for
internal components.
7. Upon completion of the self clean cycle, drain the water from the ice maker.
8. Leave the lid of the ice maker open and allow it to dry completely before lling with water and making
ice. The vinegar smell will dissipate quickly.
9. When you begin making ice, you may wish to discard the rst few buckets to ensure there is no
lingering vinegar in the ice.
If there is a water shortage during self cleaning mode, the ice maker will automatically go into standby
mode until more water is added.
If the water bucket fails to turn over, the full bucket and low water indicators will ash at the same time.
Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to deactivate self cleaning mode and reset the ice maker.
Do not allow the evaporator to soak in the water and vinegar solution for an extended period.

TROUBLESHOOTING
No power
• A fuse may be blown or the circuit breaker
tripped
• Plug not fully inserted into the wall outlet
Full bucket indicator is illuminated
• The ice bucket may be full
• The ambient temperature may be lower than

• The water reservoir may be empty

• The refrigerant system may be damaged
Noises
• Gurgling noises or sounds of rushing water are
normal
• Grinding noises are not normal, this can
indicate that the fan or pump is obstructed
CLEANING
Ensure the ice maker is unplugged before cleaning.
• Do not use boiling water to clean the ice maker
as this can deform internal parts.
• Do not use solvents, strong acids, strong alkali
substances or other harsh cleaning agents.
• Do not use cleaning sprays, abrasive cleaners or
sharp objects.
• Some paper towels can scratch the glass or the
surface of the control panel.
• Clean the outside of the ice maker with a soft
cloth and mild soap. Rinse and then dry before
using.
• Wipe the window and the control panel with a
damp, clean cloth.
• Keep the area clean where the lid closes against
the cabinet.
DRAIN
Remove the rubber plug from the water outlet to
drain any excess water from the ice maker.
The ice maker should be drained every time you are
nished making ice as well ahen you are nished
using the ice maker for the season and it will be
stored for a long period of time. Always ensure that
no water is left inside the appliance for more than
12 hours so it does not become stagnant.

LIMITED IN-HOME APPLIANCE WARRANTY
This quality product is warranted to be free from manufacturer’s defects in material and workmanship, provided that the unit is used under the normal operating
conditions intended by the manufacturer.
This warranty is available only to the person to whom the unit was originally sold by Danby Products Limited (Canada) or Danby Products Inc. (U.S.A.) (hereafter
“Danby”) or by an authorized distributor of Danby, and is non-transferable.
TERMS OF WARRANTY
Plastic parts, are warranted for thirty (30) days only from purchase date, with no extensions provided.
First Year
During the rst twelve (12) months, any functional parts of this product found to be defective, will be repaired or replaced, at warrantor’s
option, at no charge to the ORIGINAL purchaser.
To obtain
Danby reserves the right to limit the boundaries of “In Home Service” to the proximity of an Authorized Service Depot. Any app liance

requiring service outside the limited boundaries of “In Home Service” , it will be the consumer’s responsibility to transport the appliance (at
their own expense) to the original retailer (point of purchase) or a service depot for repair. See “Boundaries of In Home Serv ice”below.
Contact your dealer from whom your unit was purchased, or contact your nearest authorized Danby service depot, where service
must be performed by a qualied service technician.
If service is performed on the units by anyone other than an authorized service depot, or the unit is used for commercial appli cation, all
obligations of Danby under this warranty shall be void.

to persons or property, including the unit itself, howsoever caused or any consequential damages arising from the malfunction o f the unit and by the purchase of
the unit, the purchaser does hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless Danby from any claim for damages to persons or propert y caused by the unit.

7) Service calls resulting in customer education.
8) Improper Installation (ie. Building-in of a free standing appliance or using an appliance outdoors that is not approved for out door application).
Proof of purchase date will be required for warranty claims; so, please retain bills of sale. In the event warranty service is required, present this document to our

INSTRUCTIONS DE MISE À LA TERRE
Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre. La mise à la terre réduit le risque de choc électrique en fournissant un l
d’échappement pour le courant électrique.
Cet appareil est doté d’un cordon doté d’un l de mise à la terre avec une che à 3 broches. Le cordon
d’alimentation doit être branché dans une prise correctement mise à la terre. Si la prise est une prise
murale à 2 broches, elle doit être remplacée par une prise murale à 3 broches correctement mise à la terre.
La plaque signalétique de série indique la tension et la fréquence pour lesquelles l’appareil est conçu.
ATTENTION - Une mauvaise utilisation de la che de mise à la terre peut entraîner un risque d’électrocution.
Consultez un électricien qualié ou un agent de service si les instructions de mise à la terre ne sont pas
complètement comprises ou si vous avez des doutes quant à la bonne mise à la terre de l’appareil.
Ne connectez pas votre appareil à des rallonges ou avec un autre appareil dans la même prise murale. Ne
pas épisser le cordon d’alimentation. Ne coupez ou ne retirez en aucun cas la troisième broche de terre du
cordon d’alimentation. N’utilisez pas de rallonges ou d’adaptateurs non mis à la terre (à deux broches).
Si le cordon d’alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par le fabricant, son agent de service ou
une personne qualiée similaire an d’éviter tout danger.

EMPLACEMENT
• Placez la machine à glaçons sur une surface solide et plane.
• Placez la machine à glaçons loin des sources de chaleur et évitez la lumière directe du soleil pour
assurer une performance ecace.
• Laissez au moins 20 cm (7,9 pouces) d’espace autour de l’entrée et de la sortie d’air.
• Si la température ambiante est inférieure à 5°C (41°F), la machine à glaçons peut ne pas fonctionner
correctement.
• N’utilisez pas cette machine à glaçons à l’extérieur.
• Ne branchez pas la machine à glaçons dans les 30 minutes suivant le déplacement pour éviter
d’endommager les composants internes.

INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION
PRÉPARATION
1. Retirez et jetez tous les emballages.
2. Placez la machine à glaçons dans une position appropriée.
3. Nettoyez la machine à glaçons et lancez le mode d’autonettoyage avant d’utiliser la machine à glaçons
pour la première fois.
PANNEAU DE COMMANDE
1. Indicateur de seau plein : s’allume lorsque le seau est plein de glace.
2. Indicateur de niveau d’eau bas: s’allume lorsque le niveau d’eau est trop bas pour produire plus de
glaçons.
3. Voyant d’alimentation: s’allume lorsque la machine à glaçons est en marche.
4. Bouton d’alimentation: appuyez pour commencer à fabriquer des glaçons.
FAIRE DE LA GLACE
1. Versez de l’eau propre dans le réservoir d’eau
jusqu’à la « ligne de remplissage maximum ».
2. Vous ne devez utiliser que de l’eau potable pour
faire de la glace.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation pour
commencer à faire de la glace.
Remarque : La machine à glaçons ne fait que de la
glace, elle ne stocke pas de glace. La glace laissée
dans le seau fondra avec le temps. Déplacez l’excès
de glace dans un congélateur pour un stockage à
long terme.
Assurez-vous que toute l’eau est évacuée de la
machine à glaçons lorsque vous avez ni de
fabriquer des glaçons. Ne laissez pas l’eau rester
à l’intérieur de la machine à glaçons plus de 12
heures.

SOIN ET ENTRETIEN
MODE AUTONETTOYAGE
Le mode d’autonettoyage doit être terminé avant d’utiliser la machine à glaçons pour la première
fois et chaque fois que la machine à glaçons a été entreposée pendant une longue période. Le mode
d’autonettoyage éliminera toute poussière ou tout résidu des composants internes.
1. Ajoutez des parties égales d’eau potable propre et de vinaigre blanc dans le réservoir de la machine à
glaçons. Remplissez jusqu’à la « ligne de remplissage maximum ».
2. En mode veille, appuyez sur le bouton d’alimentation et maintenez-le enfoncé pendant 5 secondes
pour activer l’autonettoyage. Un bip retentira pour conrmer.
3. Le seau d’eau supérieur sera rempli et évacué. La pompe restera en fonctionnement continu pendant

DRAIN
Retirez le bouchon en caoutchouc de la sortie d’eau

La machine à glaçons doit être vidangée à chaque
fois que vous avez ni de fabriquer des glaçons
ainsi que lorsque vous avez ni d’utiliser la machine

No se recomienda el uso de este aparato con tomas de corriente o interruptores principales con la función

INSTRUCCIONES DE PUESTA A TIERRA
Este aparato debe estar conectado a tierra. La conexión a tierra reduce el riesgo de descarga eléctrica al
proporcionar un cable de escape para la corriente eléctrica.
Este electrodoméstico tiene un cable que tiene un cable de conexión a tierra con un enchufe de 3 clavijas. El

LOCALIZACIÓN
• Coloque la máquina de hielo sobre una supercie resistente y nivelada.
• Coloque la máquina de hielo lejos de fuentes de calor y evite la luz solar directa para garantizar un
rendimiento eciente.
• Asegúrese de que haya al menos 20 cm (7,9 pulgadas) de espacio alrededor de la entrada y la salida
de aire.
• Si la temperatura ambiente es inferior a 5°C (41°F), es posible que la fábrica de hielo no funcione

PREPARACIÓN
1. Retire y deseche todo el embalaje.

3. Limpie la fábrica de hielo y ejecute el modo de autolimpieza antes de usar la fábrica de hielo por
primera vez.
PANEL DE CONTROL
1. Indicador de cubeta llena: se ilumina cuando la cubeta está llena de hielo.
2. Indicador de nivel bajo de agua: se ilumina cuando el nivel del agua es demasiado bajo para hacer
más hielo.
3. Indicador de encendido: se ilumina cuando la fábrica de hielo está funcionando.
4. Botón de encendido: Presione para comenzar a hacer hielo.
HACER HIELO
1. Vierta agua limpia en el tanque de agua hasta
la“línea de llenado máximo”.
2. Solo debe usar agua potable para hacer hielo.
3. Presione el botón de encendido para comenzar
a hacer hielo.
Nota: La fábrica de hielo solo produce hielo, no
almacena hielo. El hielo que quede en el balde se
derretirá con el tiempo. Mueva el exceso de hielo a
un congelador para almacenamiento a largo plazo.
Asegúrese de drenar toda el agua de la fábrica de
hielo cuando termine de hacer hielo. No permita

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
MODO DE AUTOLIMPIEZA
El modo de autolimpieza debe completarse antes de usar la máquina de hielo por primera vez y cada
vez que la máquina de hielo haya estado guardada durante un largo período de tiempo. El modo de
autolimpieza eliminará el polvo o los residuos de los componentes internos.
1. Agregue partes iguales de agua potable limpia y vinagre blanco al depósito de la máquina de hielo.
Llene hasta la“Línea de llenado máximo”.
2. En el modo de espera, mantenga presionado el botón de encendido durante 5 segundos para activar
la autolimpieza. Sonará un pitido para conrmar.
3. El cubo de agua superior se llenará y evacuará. La bomba permanecerá en funcionamiento continuo
mientras alimenta agua al balde y a los serpentines del evaporador. El ciclo se ejecutará cinco veces.
Al nalizar, la fábrica de hielo volverá al modo de espera.
4. Retire la tapa de drenaje y el tapón de la salida de agua para drenar el agua y el vinagre.
5. Agregue agua potable limpia a la“línea de llenado máximo”.
6. Mantenga presionado el botón de encendido durante 5 segundos para volver a ejecutar el modo de
