Preventive service
The free cooling unit requires preventive maintenance at regular intervals in order to
avoid stoppages and impaired performance. It is important to bear in mind that the ser-
vicing interval may vary depending on the conditions of the environment in which the
cooler operates.
Turn off all electrical power to the unit before carrying out any work on it.
Make sure that all work has been carried out correctly before turning the power back
on.
The control unit has a service function to provide a better work climate for 20 minutes
while service personnel are in the electronics cabinet. In order to activate the service
function, select one step up from the main menu to "Timer". The press "Enter". The unit
will then start to count down from 20 and then return to normal operation.
Dantherm recommends that the unit is serviced at least once a year. It is also recom-
mended that the unit is thoroughly inspected during the initial service in order to de-
termine whether or not the servicing interval is too long. We recommend that preventive
maintenance is carried out during the spring.
The factory warranty only applies if servicing has been carried out and documented at
an interval of a maximum of one year. The documentation may take the form of a writ-
ten log.
Before leaving the electronics cabin, make sure that the control unit has no alarms!
Recommended ser-
vice order
The recommended procedure for preventive maintenance is:
Make sure that the power supply to the unit has been safely turned off.
Remove the old filter and carefully clean the unit.
Clean the dampers and check that they work and close tightly.
Clean the fan and check its attachment.
Check and clean the air intake and ventilation accessories.
Carefully fit the new filter.
Close the unit and ensure that all servicing has been carried out correctly.
Turn on the power to the unit.
Run the self-test in accordance with the separate control unit manual.
The function test for fan and filter alarms may be carried out as follows.
Open the service hatch and place a piece of cardboard or similar ma-
terial on the inlet side of the filter so that it blocks a large part of the
filter surface. Close the service hatch, start the free cooling unit and
check that a filter alarm is given. Turn off and remove the piece of
cardboard.
Open the control unit hatch and disconnect the yellow cable (ACUE)
(brown for TKS 3000) which is connected to "Tc1" (ACUE), ("TK1" for
TKS3000). Close the hatch, run the free cooling unit and check that a
fan alarm is given. Reset the control unit.
