DAT 1111
DAT 1111
GENE AL DESC IPTION
T e transmitter DAT 1111 is designed to provide on output a 4÷20 mA current loop linearised signal proportional wit t e temperature c aracteristic provided
from t e Pt100 connected to its input.
It is possible to connect on input bot Pt100 3 wires and Pt100 2 wires sensors.
It is possible to program t e input range by t e 4 way DIP-switc es available removing t e protection plastic cap located on t e top of device (see t e section
“Input ranges table”).
T e regulation of t e zero and full-scale value are made using t e ZERO and SPAN potentiometers.
T e DAT 1111 is in compliance wit t e Directive 2004/108/EC on t e Electromagnetic Compatibility.
It is oused in a self-extinguis plastic enclosure suitable for DIN B in- ead mounting.
Moreover ( by proper mounting kit ) it is possible to mount t e DAT 1111 on DIN rail.
FEATU ES
- Input from Pt100
- Input scale in °C or °F
- Zero and Span programmable by DIP-switches
- 4÷20 mA current loop linearised output
- Good accuracy and linearity
- EMC compliant – CE mark
- Suitable for DIN B in-head mounting
- Option for DIN rail mounting in compliance with EN 50022 (DIN AIL Option)
USE INST UCTIONS
T e transmitter DAT 1111 must be powered by a direct voltage between 10 to 32 V applied to t e terminals +V and -V.
T e 4÷20 mA output signal is measurable in t e power loop as s own in t e section “Output/Power supply connections”; Rload is t e input impedance of
instruments on t e current loop; to obtain a correct measure, t e value of Rload will be calculated as function of t e power supply value ( see section “ Load
c aracteristic”).
T e input connections must be made as s own in t e section "Input connections".
T e Pt100 t ree wires must be connected to t e terminals 1 and 3, connecting t e t ird wire to t e terminal 2.
T e Pt100 two wires must be connected to t e terminals 1 and 3, connecting t e terminal 2 and 3.
T e configuration of t e input range must be made by DIP-switc es. To configure t e device refer to t e section “Input ranges table”.
Regulate t e output value by t e ZERO and SPAN regulations.
To calibrate and install t e transmitter refer to sections " DAT1111: configuration and calibration" and “Installation Instructions”.

DAT 1111: CONFIGU ATION AND CALIB ATION
1) Calculate t e difference between t e full-scale and t e begin scale values
(Span).
2) Refer to t e “Input range table” and determine in t e column " SPAN "
w ere t e calculated value is included. Determine in t e column “ZERO”,
t e range of value w ere t e zero scale value is included. In t e line
obtained wit t e combination, is s own t e DIP-switc es configuration.
3) Remove t e protection plastic cap.
4) Set t e switc es as indicated.
5) Connect on input a Pt100 simulator or a fixed resistance value
corresponding to t e resistive value provided from t e Pt100 sensor at t e
selected temperatures.
6) Set t e simulator at t e minimum temperature or connect a fixed
resistance value corresponding to t e zero value.
7) Regulate t e output value at 4 mA by t e “ZERO” potentiometer .
8) Set t e simulator at t e maximum temperature or connect a fixed
resistance value corresponding to t e span value.
9) Regulate t e output value at 20 mA by t e “SPAN” potentiometer .
10) Repeat t e operation from t e step 6 to t e step 9 until t e output
values are accurate ( typical 3 attempts required ).
Example of configuration: -30/200 °C.
Span => 200°C - (-30°C) = 230°C;
Input switc es configuration: Off, Off, Off, Off.
INSTALLATION INST UCTIONS
The device DAT 1111 is suitable for direct DIN B in-head mounting. The
transmitter must be fixed inside the probe by the proper kit.
By apposite stirrup, provided on request, it is possible to mount the device
on DIN rail in compliance with EN-50022. It is necessary to install the
device in a place without vibrations; avoid to routing conductors near
power signal cables .
