5. Make sure to press the tape down
to secure it to the hood vent. Then
start to peel off the red backing on
the tape.
6. Once the backing is all peeled off,
the insert gets installed, you will
want to install the wide end of the
insert first. While putting it up into
place, be careful to keep the insert
from touching the double sided
tape. It is helpful to watching the
insert going in from the top of the
hood to make sure you get the
insert between the hood vent and
the hood sub structure. The top
corner of the insert will go in first,
then the edge that goes between
the vent and the hood substructure.
Then press the bottom of the insert
against the double sided tape to
secure the mesh insert in place.
7. With the mesh insert in place, push
and hold pressure against the
bottom of the mesh to help it
secure to the double sided tape.
Hold pressure in an area for about
10 seconds and then move to
another area and press again,
repeat until you cover the entire
vent where the double sided tape
was applied.
8. The small mesh insert is a similar
install, apply the double sided tape
like the picture to the right, along
the ribs and the center of the vent
like the picture to the right.
