Polaris Slingshot Hood Vent Inserts Kit

This DDMWorks mesh inserts are designed to
install into the hood vents we make, reducing the
road debris and moisture coming up from the
road.

If you are pretty handy with tools the inserts can
be installed in about 15 minutes, however we
suggest that you schedule an hour for the
installation just incase.

1. To install the hood vents the first
thing is to make sure the bottom of
your vents are nice and clean. Use
a clean towel with soap and water
to clean them the best you can.
Then make sure to dry them
thoroughly before starting the next
step.
2. Use the supplied alcohol cleaning
pads in the kit and make sure to
wipe the entire bottom surface of
the hood vents. Let dry for a few
minutes.
3. Hold the larger insert up into place
and mark the bottom of the insert
with a sharpie. This mark allows
you to know how far down to run
the double sided tape.
4. Remove the insert and place the
double sided tape like the picture to
the right. The tape will go along the
ribs and the center of the vent. The
edges will get tucked slightly
between the vent and the hood
itself and will not need any tape.

5. Make sure to press the tape down
to secure it to the hood vent. Then
start to peel off the red backing on
the tape.
6. Once the backing is all peeled off,
the insert gets installed, you will
want to install the wide end of the
insert first. While putting it up into
place, be careful to keep the insert
from touching the double sided
tape. It is helpful to watching the
insert going in from the top of the
hood to make sure you get the
insert between the hood vent and
the hood sub structure. The top
corner of the insert will go in first,
then the edge that goes between
the vent and the hood substructure.
Then press the bottom of the insert
against the double sided tape to
secure the mesh insert in place.
7. With the mesh insert in place, push
and hold pressure against the
bottom of the mesh to help it
secure to the double sided tape.
Hold pressure in an area for about
10 seconds and then move to
another area and press again,
repeat until you cover the entire
vent where the double sided tape
was applied.
8. The small mesh insert is a similar
install, apply the double sided tape
like the picture to the right, along
the ribs and the center of the vent
like the picture to the right.

5. Make sure to press the tape down
to secure it to the hood vent
thoroughly. Then start to peel off
the red backing on the tape.
6. Once the backing is all peeled off,
install the insert onto the back of
the vent, starting at the top corner
agsin. Be careful to keep the insert
from touching the double sided
tape until the mesh in fully in place.
Once the mesh is in place press the
bottom of the mesh against the
double sided tape to secure it in
place.
7. Hold pressure on the bottom of the
mesh insert for about 10 seconds in
different areas and repeat until you
cover the entire vent where the
