3. Mechanical connection
1. Put the locker columns that are supposed to be connected next to each other, but leave a small gap.

2. Open the service compartments at the bottom of each locker. The required keys are fixed with tape on
each locker’s front. Each service compartment contains a connector and a mounting bracket to mount
the column to the wall.
3. Put the connector in place.

8. Close-up: connector and rear screw. Secure the screw with your hand first.
9. Tighten the screw by using a hex key.

10. Do the same with the front screw. The lockers are now connected.
4. Mounting side walls
1. Loosen the four screws used to fix the locker’s cover with the hex key (2 at the back, 2 at the front).

2. Now you can remove the lockers’ covers.
3. Take one of the provided spacers and its corresponding screw.

4. Screw the spacers by using a Phillips screwdriver into the corresponding bores. (6 spacers for each locker).
5. Mind an even distance between the six spacers (spread across the surface of the side wall).

6. Insert the left side wall and push it down until it ends flush with the locker’s top. Do the same with the
right side wall.
7. Afterwards secure the lockers’ covers.

5. Mounting the wall bracket
1. Place the wall bracket on the top of both lockers so that the bracket’s bores correspond to the ones on
the lockers.
2. Mark the bore position on the wall. The bracket can be secured with up to three screws.

3. Drill a hole into the wall at the marked position. This example uses a 8 mm masonry drill.
4. To secure the bracket, use the provided screws and washers.

5. Screw the bracket to both lockers at the corresponding positions. Thereby, the single columns are now a
connected unit.
6. Put the anchor into the hole and secure the bracket with a screw. Thereby, the unit cannot fall or be moved.

6. Installing the backplane in the service compartment
1. Guide the network and mains cables through the back of the locker that is connected to the terminal. In
the service compartment you can find two additional cables marked with either “Master” or “Slave”. Pull
these cables out of the service compartment as well.
2. Guide the connection cable of the second locker through the appropriate hole into the service compartment of
the other locker and pull it out. Do the same if you connect multiple lockers with each other, you may require
additional extension cables.

3. The next step requires the Ethernet adapter module - DEA 1 - with its corresponding screws and washers
to connect it to the corresponding contacts on the circuit board (View the red marks in the image).
4. Put the adapter on the circuit board as shown in the image. Press the adapter slightly down until it lies on
the corresponding contacts on the circuit board.

5. Afterwards secure the Ethernet adapter from deister with the provided screws and washers.
6. To connect the grounding cable, loosen the hex nut at the backplane.

7. The grounding cable has a blue terminal (view image). It is put above the existing cables with red termi-
nals and secured with the loosened hex nut.
8. Afterwards, guide the cable with the red terminal back into the service compartment. Remove the hex nut
from the thread, put the cable on it and secure it again with the hex nut.
