Removing the Back Fan Assembly
CAUTION: Only trained service technicians are authorized to remove the system
cover and access any of the components inside the system. See your System
Information Guide for complete information about safety precautions, working
inside the computer, and protecting against electrostatic discharge.
1Remove the system cover.
See your Installation and Troubleshooting Guide for detailed information.
2Remove the cooling shroud.
aRemove the cables from the cooling shroud's retaining clips.
bLoosen the two thumbscrews securing the cooling shroud to the system.
cLift the cooling shroud up to clear the memory riser cards and the chassis.
See your Installation and Troubleshooting Guide for detailed information.
3Remove the memory riser cards by grasping each card by the extractor tabs, located on
the top corners of the card, and lifting it straight up to clear the chassis.

4Remove the four fans by squeezing the fan release levers and lifting each fan straight
up to clear the fan assembly (see Figure 1).

5Disconnect the fan assembly power cable from the fan connector (REAR FANS) on
the system board.
6Press the release latch and lift the fan assembly straight up to clear the chassis (see
Figure 2).

Replacing the Back Fan Assembly
1Align the new fan assembly with the fan assembly guide on the back panel, and push
down until the fan assembly is firmly seated and the latch is engaged (see Figure 2).
2Connect the fan assembly power cable to the fan connector (REAR FANS) on the
system board.
3Lower each fan into the fan assembly until the fan snaps into position (see Figure 1).
4Install the memory riser cards.
5Install the cooling shroud.
aLower the cooling shroud into the chassis, ensuring that the cooling shroud is
aligned with the back fan assembly and the memory riser card cage.
bTighten the two thumbscrews securing the cooling shroud to the system.
cReroute the cables over the cooling shroud using the retaining clips.
6Replace the system cover.

更换背面风扇组件
1将新风扇组件与背面板上的风扇组件导轨对齐并向下推动 直至风扇组件稳定就
位且闩锁啮合 参见图 2
2将风扇组件电源电缆连接至主机板上的风扇连接器 (REAR FANS)
3将每个风扇向下放入风扇组件 直至风扇卡入到位 参见图 1
4安装内存提升卡
5安装冷却通风罩
a将冷却通风罩向下放入机箱 确保冷却通风罩与背面风扇组件和内存提升卡固
定框架对齐
b拧紧将冷却通风罩固定至系统的两颗指旋螺钉
c使用固定夹 在冷却通风罩上方重新布线电缆
6装回主机盖

Retrait du module de ventilateur arrière
ATTENTION : Seuls les techniciens de maintenance qualifiés sont habilités à
retirer le capot du système et à accéder aux composants du système. Reportez-
vous au Guide Informations sur le système pour obtenir des informations
complètes sur les précautions en matière de sécurité, les opérations à réaliser à
l'intérieur de l'ordinateur et la protection contre l'électricité statique.
1Retirez le capot du système.

2Retirez le dissipateur de chaleur.
aRetirez les câbles des clips de fixation du dissipateur de chaleur.
bDesserrez les deux vis à molette fixant le dissipateur au système.
cTirez le dissipateur vers le haut pour dégager les cartes riser de mémoire et le
châssis.

3Retirez les cartes riser de mémoire du châssis en saisissant chacune d'entre elles par les
languettes d'extraction situées dans les coins supérieurs et en les tirant vers le haut.

4Retirez les quatre ventilateurs du châssis en appuyant sur les leviers de dégagement et
en tirant chaque ventilateur vers le haut (voir la Figure 1).

5Déconnectez le câble d'alimentation du ventilateur du connecteur de ventilateur
(REAR FANS) sur la carte système.
6Appuyez sur le loquet de dégagement et soulevez le module du ventilateur pour
dégager le châssis (voir la Figure 2).
