This document provides updated information for your system.
Updated Memory Module Installation Guidelines
To ensure optimal performance of your system, observe the following guidelines when configuring
your system memory.
• Use only 667-MHz registered parity DDR-II memory modules.
• Memory modules m
ust be installed in pairs , beginning with DIMM1 and DIMM2 (processor 1),
and DIMM5 and DIMM6 (processor 2).
• The memory modules must be identical in speed and technology. The DIMMs in each pair must be
the same size.
Update to Processor Installation
During processor installation or replacement, be sure to position your finger or thumb firmly on the
socket release lever and control the lever when releasing it so that the lever does not spring up suddenly.
The lever locks down the processor with considerable force to ensure a good socket connection. Releasing
the lever without control can cause the lever to spring up suddenly and forcefully.

Mise à jour des consignes pour l'installation des barrettes
de mémoire
Pour optimiser les performances du système, observez les consignes suivantes lorsque vous configurez
la mémoire système.
• Utilisez uniquement des barrettes de mémoire DDR-II à registres et avec parité, cadencées à 667 MHz.
• Les barrettes de mémoire doivent
être installées par paires , en commençant par les logements
DIMM1 et DIMM2 (processeur 1), puis DIMM5 et DIMM6 (processeur 2).
• Les barrettes doivent être de vitesse et de technologie identiques. Les deux barrettes de chaque paire
doivent être de la même taille.
Mise à jour des instructions d'installation du processeur
Lors de l'installation ou du remplacement du processeur, vous devez placer un doigt sur le levier
du support afin de pouvoir contrôler ce levier pendant son éjection. Ce levier exerce une pression
importante pour que le processeur soit fermement maintenu dans le support. Si vous ne le maintenez
pas lorsque vous le débloquez, il risque de se redresser très brusquement.

Aktualisierte Installationsrichtlinien für Speichermodule
Um eine optimale Leistung des Systems zu gewährleisten, beachten Sie bei der Konfiguration

システムの最適なパフォーマンスを実現するには、システムメモリを構成する際に以下のガイドラ
インに従ってください

かなりの力でロックダウンされ、ソケットがしっかりと接続されます 指で押さえずにレバーを外
すと、レバーが突然勢いよく跳ね上がるおそれがあります

En este documento se proporciona información actualizada sobre el sistema.
Pautas actualizadas para la instalación de módulos de memoria
Para asegurar un rendimiento óptimo del sistema, siga las siguientes pautas al configurar la memoria
del sistema.
• Utilice únicamente módulos de memoria DDR-II de paridad registrada a 667 MHz.
• Los módulos de memoria deben
instalarse en pares , empezando por DIMM1 y DIMM2
(procesador 1), y DIMM5 y DIMM6 (procesador 2).
• Los módulos de memoria deben ser idénticos en lo que se refiere a velocidad y tecnología.
Los módulos DIMM de cada par deben tener el mismo tamaño.
Actualización sobre la instalación del procesador
Durante la instalación o sustitución del procesador, no olvide colocar el dedo pulgar o cualquier otro
dedo firmemente en la palanca de liberación del zócalo y controle la palanca al liberarla, de forma
que no salga disparada repentinamente. La palanca mantiene sujeto el procesador con una fuerza
considerable para asegurar una buena conexión del zócalo. Si se libera la palanca sin controlarla,
ésta puede salir disparada repentinamente y con fuerza.
