Installation Instructions

Place uprights based on footing diagram and use the base plates as a guide to drill (6) 1” diameter holes
in the concrete 14” deep for each upright. Remove the uprights and thoroughly clean out drilled holes.
Use Simpson AT-XP High-Strength Acrylic Adhesive to set ¾” threaded rod anchors. Let the adhesive
cure for 24 hours. If one Upright is at a lower grade, than a non-shrink grout riser may be formed around
the anchors with a min. height of ½”.
Place each upright over the anchors and attach with (6) ¾” nuts and washers. Leave nuts finger-tight.
Installation Instructions
3 4
Lift the center section into place and
attach with (6) ¾” x 1.50” hex head
bolts, lock washers, and nuts. The bolt
head should be nearest to the upright.
If installing a series of modular Stratus shelters,
attach the remaining center sections.
5Tighten all anchor and structure bolts.
Attach each end section with (6) ¾” x 1.50”
hex head bolts, lock washers, and nuts.

Installation Instructions
6Assemble the glass panels:
A: Match the 2 rafter parts by the identifying
marks on the inside of the clamp.
B: Insert the rafter assembly tool into the rafter
clamp and tighten all (4) ¾” x 3.00” cap head
bolts. This will help open the section the glass is
inserted to.
C: Attach (6) adhesive backed gaskets to the
rafter.
D: Place the glass panel on saw horses or
similar stands.
Installation Instructions
E: Carefully maneuver the rafter onto the glass
panel so that it’s adjacent to the mounting holes.
G: Secure the rafter with (3) 3/8” x 2.75” button
head bolt, washer, lock washer, and nut.
F: Insert a plastic spacer into the glass mounting
hole and then slide the rafter over the hole.
Repeat for all 3 holes.
H: The (4) ¾” x 3.00” cap head bolts and rafter
assembly tool may now be removed.
I: Repeat the above steps for the second rafter.
Installation Instructions
7Lift the initial glass panel assembly into place with a forklift. Attach the glass panel assembly with (2)
clamp sections of the rafter and (8) ¾” x 3.00” cap head bolts and lock washers. Leave all bolts loose
and lower or lift the forklift until the glass panel assembly is at the desired angle (10º is typical). Then
evenly tighten all the bolts so as to not change the angle of the glass panel. Use the specific tightening
sequence pictured.

Incrementally tighten the bolts with a torque wrench in
the pattern shown.
Continue tightening the bolts in the pattern shown until
all the bolts are at 128 ft-lbs. ( 174 Nm ).
Repeat entire process with the next rafter.
Installation Instructions
9
10 Apply a bead of silicone caulk to both inside edges of the T profile and place between each
glass panel.
Attach the remaining glass panel assemblies on the other side of the shelter if specified.
8Attach the remaining glass panel assemblies on the same side of the shelter. An approximate ¼” gap
should remain between glass panels.

11 Attach the ridge cap if specified. Remove the ¾” x 1.50” hex head bolts, lock washers, and nuts
that attach the center section to the uprights positioned at 3 and 9 o’clock. Place the ridge cap
over the center section so that its flanges are inside the center section flange. Re-install the ¾”
x 1.50” hex head bolts, lock washers, and nuts.
