IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
• Refer to International Standard IEC 60601-1 Ed 3.0 Amendment 1 for safety
requirements applicable to Medical Electrical Systems.
• The height of the DV6 series device must be lower than the mask when using a
humidier to prevent water from getting into the mask.
• The humidier water chamber is intended for single-patient use only.
• Empty and dry humidier water chamber before transporting.
• Do not attempt to ll the water chamber while it is attached to the humidier
cradle. Damage to the humidier cradle may occur. Always remove the water
chamber from the humidier cradle before lling.
• Never touch the heater plate on the humidier cradle. Never touch the heat
transfer plate on the bottom of the water chamber. These plates can reach
temperatures as high as 149˚F (65˚C) during operation.
• Do not operate the heater if the water chamber is empty. The heater plate may
be turned off using CPAP Settings when device is being used without water.

Humidifier
Use on the advice and prescription of a licensed physician to help relieve the
symptoms of dryness of the throat, nasal passages and the mouth, which are
common with positive airway pressure therapy. This is especially true in dry
climates and during the cold season when humidity in the air is typically lower
than at other times.

SYSTEM ASSEMBLY
2. Place front of CPAP device on humidier cradle,
ensure locking tabs are engaged, and click into
place.
3. Fill clean chamber to ll line with distilled water
and insert into cradle. NOTE –Use distilled water
to avoid mineral buildup inside the chamber.

Humidifier Cradle
The humidier cradle should be cleaned weekly.
1. Turn off the heater and unplug from power source.
Allow system to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Disconnect tubing.
3. Wipe the cradle with clean damp cloth.
2. Detach device from cradle; rst remove water
chamber then press ow generator release button.
NOTE –Flow generator release button must be
pressed completely to separate.
CLEANING
Humidifier Water Chamber
Humidier water chamber should be cleaned daily.
1. Press chamber release latch
and remove chamber from cradle.
2. Press forward on chamber
disassembly lever and lift the
lid to separate halves. NOTE –
Sealing gasket does not need
to be removed for cleaning.
4. Allow the parts to dry
before reassembly.
3. Hand wash in a solution
of warm water and mild
dishwashing detergent (e.g.
Dawn® dishwashing liquid).
NOTE – In addition to hand washing,
the disassembled chamber may also
be washed once per week in a
dishwasher, top shelf only.
1. Reattach sealing gasket if
detached or removed for
cleaning. Ensure it snaps under
the spokes.
5. Place the tabs on the chamber
lid into the slots at the rear of the
chamber base and press front
until it clicks into place.
CAUTION – Do not use solutions that
contain bleach, chlorine, alcohol,
scented oils or other aromatic-based
ingredients to clean the humidier
components or tubing. These solutions
may reduce the life of the product.
CAUTION – Inspect the sealing
gasket part # DV6C-614 before
each use to ensure that it is
properly seated under the spokes
and in the groove around the
entire chamber.

Humidier Water Chamber (single-patient use) - Clean the
chamber daily. The chamber should be replaced according to the
schedule recommended by your provider. Inspect the chamber
monthly; replace if damaged.
Humidier Cradle - No maintenance needed for humidier cradle.

PRODUCT DISPOSAL
The outer packaging is made of environmentally friendly materials that can be used as secondary
raw materials. If you no longer need this packaging, bring it to your local recycling and waste
disposal facility according to the applicable regulations.
The equipment, including accessories and internal components, does not belong in your regular
household waste; such equipment is manufactured from high-grade materials and can be recycled
and reused. The PC board, heater plate, and wiring should be removed from the unit and recycled
as electronic waste. The remaining plastic components should be recycled as plastics.
The European Directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
requires that electrical and electronic equipment be collected and disposed of separately from
other unsorted municipal waste, with the aim of recycling it. The crossed out waste bin symbol
indicates that separate collection is required.
