Use of the P system
If you want to set up the system, follow the next steps to ensure that you connect all elements of this product
properly.
1. The unit exists of the following parts:
– Spea er (2x)
– Rear compartment for cables (installed on the spea er)
– Mixer panel (installed on the spea er)
2. Unloc both attached panels, by unloc ing the mechanism. This can be done by sliding the grooved
mechanism to the left.
3. Detach both compartments. You now have 2 spea ers and 2 seperate panels, of which one contains the
mixer and the other is for cables.
4. Place the mixer panel on a solid surface, such as a table.
5. Place the spea ers on a solid surface (such as a floor, table or spea er stands) and tighten the nobs on
the rear if needed (only for installation on a spea er stand).
6. Open the cable lid and ta e the spea er cables out. These are the long cables with the straight plugs, also
nown as 6.35 mm (¼ inch) jac TS plugs. Please ma e sure that the mixing panel is turned off when
connecting or disconnecting the spea ers!
Plug the connectors into the spea ers and also into the spea er outputs of the mixer panel. Please be
cautious when plugging the connectors into the mixing panel, as these cables can only be connected to the
spea er outputs. The spea er outputs are installed directly into the top housing of the mixer panel and a
stic er shows you where to connect the spea er cables to.
7. Connect the included power cable of your choice to the power input of the mixer panel. Do not switch on
the device immediately. Connect the corresponding end connector to a power outlet (Schu o or UK).
8. Connect your auxiliary devices and microphones to the mixing panel. Please chec the stic er on the lid of
the cable compartment to be sure that you connect the right audio product to the right audio input.
If you use monitor spea ers or headphones, also use the right connections to connect them properly.
9. Turn on the mixing panel by pressing the switch next to the power input. The device will now be turned on.
Please chec if you have connected condenser microphones. If so, please turn on the 'Phantom power'
button to enable +48V Phantom Power.
Practical information
Use the tips below to ensure perfect audio quality and optimal use of the system:
– Do not turn up the volume and EQ nobs all the way up. Start with a small signal and turn the volume
slightly up when needed. Especially when using several audio inputs, it is li ely that one source will sound
louder than the other. Please eep the EQ nobs as much as possible on the central 0-point. This will usually
ensure the best audio quality. Only if required you can adjust the EQ.
– Keep the pea LEDs in mind and perform the necessary actions if they light up. If the pea LEDs only light
up slightly during use, it will not be a problem for audio quality. The tric is to eep the audio levels just
underneath the pea LED activation, to ensure the best audio quality and signal strength.
– Keep the master level VU meters in mind and do not drive the spea ers with a stronger signal than

needed. Also use your ears to chec wether the spea ers are producing a distorted sound. If so, decrease
the volume level of the spea ers with the mixing panel's master volume.
– Use the USB player to play music from USB devices, such as small hard dis s or USB thumb drives. This
ma es it possible to provide bac ground music or playbac music during performance.
– Use the USB charging connection on the panel for an USB goosenec light. You can even charge your
phone or tablet with this connection! The USB charging connector wor s with almost every phone or tablet
and may also be used to charge power ban s and other gadgets. The 5V USB connector has a power of
1000mA and is protected against overcharging. This means that it may be possible that your connected
device may not charge as fast as when connected to its original power adapter, directly connected to a
power outlet.
– Only use the spea er outputs for the included passive spea ers. Connecting other types of spea ers than
the spea ers you received with this product may cause permanent damage to both systems.
If you really want to use the mixer but add or change spea ers, you may use the Monitor Output signal on
the mixing panel. This line signal can be connected to powered spea ers, as well as amplifiers which
provides power to passive spea ers.
– If your audio source has dominant tones in it (such as high or low tones), try to decrease that particular
tone with the 2-band EQ on the input of every channel. Do not increase the opposite EQ's level, as it may
cause distortion and bad sound quality, especially when driven into the + levels. Also the spea ers may not
be able to cope with this ind of audio transforming properly.
– Use the built-in reverb effect to add some extra effects to vocals and/or instrument. Experiment with the
levels needed to achieve a sound that corresponds perfectly with your preferences. Please note that the
main reverb effects level should be increased, after this you are able to set the effects level for every single
mono channel.
– The stereo input is used for most audio products with a stereo output. For example, a eyboard or
synthesizer. But it is also possible to connect larger PA-mixers, DJ controllers, DJ mixers, etcetera. It is also
possible to use the 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) TRS mini jac plug input, so you can easily connect devices such as
MP3-players, smartphones, tablets and laptops.
– Please note that it is not possible to use more than 1 input simultaneously for both the mono and stereo
input channels.
– The mono channels can be used to connect stereo audio products. For example, if you wish to connect two
eyboards at the same time, one eyboard can be connected by using the stereo channel, the other
eyboard can be connected through the line inputs of two mono channels. But please note that you lose two
mono channels for every connection of a stereo audio product to mono channels.
– The included microphones can be connected directly to the microphone inputs on the mixing panel. Please
ensure that the switch is turned on if you want to spea or sing into the microphone.
– When using the microphone, please hold it li e you are drin ing from a glass, close to your lips (but not
touching the microphone grill). This ensures optimal sound capture and provides you with a strong voice.
– Please eep the microphones away from the spea ers when used. If the microphones are used too close
to the spea ers, they may capture sounds from the spea er, which is amplified, which is captured by the
microphone. This causes an infinite loop and is very bad for your PA system. Therefore it is advised to inform
any spea er or vocalist about this when handing out a microphone. If this ind of audio feedbac is present,
turn down the volume of the microphone immediately and inform the person holding the microphone about
how to use the microphone optimal.
– The monitor output has the same signal as the master output going to the included spea ers. However, for
signal monitoring it can be practical to have this ind of connection available. Use the monitor outputs to
connect floor monitors, an extra spea er system or headphones through the 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) TRS mini jac

output. It is also possible to use the included spea ers of Blist Live for monitoring, while another (larger)
spea er set is connected as your main PA system.
– The Bluetooth system included in the MP3-player, is a great way to send music from your wireless device
to your mixing panel. It can be used for bac ground music, as well as live playbac music. Please note
however that the sound quality may not be optimal when transferring it to your mixing panel through
Bluetooth. Also note that the connection stability is crucial and may be altered because of nearby 2.4 GHz
devices, as well as people or objects bloc ing the path from your Bluetooth enabled device to the mixing
panel. This may cause dropouts and loss of signal quality.
Devine recommends: If it doesn't move – use a cable!
The use of cables ensures optimal signal stability as well as audio quality. If the distance is too long or
impossible to reach with a cable, the use of wireless options can be ta en into consideration.
– The USB connection of the MP3 playing module can not be used to connect audio interfaces, computers,
USB MP3-players and li ewise devices. It is also not possible to connect devices such as MIDI-controllers,
USB microphones and such.
– The USB charging point only does one thing: Provide power over USB. It is compliant with USB standards
and provides 5 V 1000 mA of power. This ma es it possible to charge mobile/portable devices, but it is also
possible to power USB gadgets such as USB LED lights.
– Connecting a wrong type of product to an USB port will not cause any damage. For example, if you insert
an USB thumb drive to the charging USB chassis, the LED of the thumb drive might turn on, but nothing else
will happen.
