DEAR CUSTOMER
Thank you for buying the new Bobo-neb nebulizer for inhalation purposes. Aerosol therapy is an effective
and safe way of treating respiratory diseases. Therapy should be commenced after consulting a
physician. Read this manual carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
1. INTRODUCTION
Bobo-neb nebulizer is a compact medical device for intermittent operation (30 minutes of work, 30
minutes pause). It makes the medication reach the bronchi and lungs immediately and directly by
inhalation. If proper precautions are kept, the appliance shall ensure quality treatment over a number of
years.
2. HOW IT WORKS
Bobo-neb nebulizer was designed to treat asthma, allergies and other
respiratory diseases. The appliance generates an air stream directed via the
tubing to the nebulizer. Upon introduction of the air into the nebulizer, the
medicine is diffused in the form of an easy-to-inhale mist. The main flow of air
into and from the compressor is presented in Fig. 1.
Read this instruction manual carefully to learn about product
characteristics. Do not use the product contrary to its intended purpose.
3. PRODUCT FEATURES
Before using the appliance, make sure that the set
contains the following components:

AEROSOL THERAPY SYSTEM FOR DOMESTIC USE
IMPORTANT WARNINGS: Failure to comply with warnings and instructions in this manual may expose the
user to the risk of: deteriorated health, burns, electric shock, recurrent infections, death, fire,
environmental pollution. Use of any electrical devices requires compliance with the following
fundamental principles:
READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU START
USING THE APPLIANCE
Failure to meet the instructions for use may lead to
appliance malfunction.
Proceed in accordance with electrical specification
provided on the appliance;
Comply with doctor's recommendations for the
medication type, dose and dosage regimen. Intensity
of using the appliance must be always consulted
with the doctor.
Inhalation of any substances should be performed
with approval of a physician who determines the
doses and treatment method.
Lack of electricity supply, sudden failure or any other
adverse conditions may lead to malfunction of the
appliance; therefore, the patient should be provided
with an interchangeable device or medication (in
accordance with doctor's recommendations).
Use the appliance only in accordance with its
intended purpose (aerosol inhalations) and in the
manner set out herein;
Do not allow the appliance to be used unsupervised
by children or incapable persons; in such cases,
special attention should be paid during treatment;
Do not use the appliance when the plug or power
supply cable is damaged;
Never leave the appliance, accessories, package
within the reach of children, unauthorized persons,
pets or insects.
If necessary, use adapters or extension leads
complying with safety standards, paying attention not
to exceed the rated power value and maximum
power value indicated on the adapter;
Do not use the appliance with wet or damp hands or
while taking a bath;
Do not allow the appliance to be submerged in water
or other liquids; do not use the appliance if it was
made accidentally wet;
Keep the appliance and the power supply cable away
from the sources of heat;
The appliance has common protection against the
ingress of liquids;
Do not use the appliance in the presence of
flammables or explosives;
Do not use the appliance in rooms in which sprays
have been used; air the room before starting
treatment;
Do not block or obstruct the appliance air openings
and do not place it on a soft surface such as a bed or
settee;
Do not insert any objects into the cooling openings;
Do not use the appliance if it emits improper noises;
In order to prevent deterioration of appliance
functionality, use original accessories only;
Personal use of the accessories is recommended. If
the appliance is used by ther family members, we
recommend cleaning the accessories after every use
or purchasing extra accessories for personal use
only.
Do not pull the power supply cable or use the
appliance to remove the plug form the power supply
socket;
Always remove the plug after use;
Do not leave the appliance exposed to atmospheric
elements; keep it in ambient conditions;
Do not place the tubing or power supply cable over
your neck;
The appliance has small parts that may be dangerous
if swallowed;
Do not use the appliance in combination with
accessories other than those indicated in the manual;
Do not use the appliance, if it was kept in a polluted
venue.
RESPONSIBILITY
The manufacturer shall be responsible for safety,
performance and reliability of the appliance, only if:
assembly, calibration, repairs or modifications have
been performed by authorized persons;
the electrical system complies to standards in force;
instructions for use have been complied with. The
manufacturer shall not be responsible for improper,
erroneous and unreasonable use of the appliance.
FILTER REPLACEMENT
Filters should be exchanged every 3 months or after 300
applications of the device. To replace the filter:
1. Take off the filter cover.
2. Exchange the filter.
3. Mount back the filter cover.
CAUTION: If the filter gets wet, dry it out completely
before use.
SAFETY FUSE
A safety fuse is housed in the appliance and may be
replaced if it blows. As for all other possible repairs, the
replacement operation must be performed by the
producer or by personnel authorised by the same.
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
The unit complies with current standards regarding
electromagnetic compatibility and is suited for use in all
buildings, including homes and residential buildings. The
appliance produces very low radiofrequency (RF)
emissions and is not likely to cause interference with
equipment located nearby. It is advisable however, not to
set the unit on top of or very close to other electrical
equipment. If it does not generate any interference with
your electrical equipment, move it or connect it to a
different power outlet. Mobile radio communication units
could affect operation of the appliance. Keep the
appliance within at least 3 m from the equipment.

4. PREPARATION TO NEBULISATION
To insert the medication into the nebuliser:
1. Open the medication cup.
2. Fill in the medication cup complying with doctor's
recommendations. Make sure that the volume
does not exceed 8 ml.
3. Close the cup.
4. Connect the mouthpiece or mask.
CAUTION: The mouthpiece is intended for oral inhalation.
CAUTION: Remember to use the nebuliser nozzle
(in the medication cup). It is essential for proper
operation of the sprayer.
5. OPERATION
To start the nebuliser:
Insert the plug to the appliance but do not switch the appliance on.
Make sure that the air filter is clean and housed in the appliance.
Connect the nebuliser to the main appliance (compressor) using tubing.
Switch the power supply on.
Start inhalation in accordance with doctor's recommendations.
Working time of the appliance: 30 mins of work/30 mins of pause. After 30 mins of operation,
switch the appliance off in order not to overheat it.
Inhalation is completed when there is no medication in the cup.
Upon completed inhalation, switch off the appliance before you disconnect the tubing.
6. CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
All cleaning operations must be performed with the plug of the appliance removed from the power
supply socket. To avoid anomalous operation and inhalation of undesired substances, clean the
accessories immediately after completed treatment. The appliance and accessories should be cleaned
using a cloth slightly moistened with alcohol. After cleaning the appliance, wait until the alcohol
evaporates completely before re-use. Do not use any other liquids or substances. Do not use excessively
wet cloths because if liquids come into contact with the electrical parts of the appliance, operating
defects or irreparable damage may be caused.
7. CLEANING THE ACCESSORIES
1. Before using the appliance for the first time and after each use, carefully wash the
accessories (except the tubing) with tepid water and dry them with a cloth. Next, put them
away to a clean storage area. While cleaning, make sure that all residues of the inhaled
substance are removed, and carefully dry the accessories. In no case, never use cleaning
agents or disinfectants that are likely to have a toxic effect in contact with skin or mucous
membranes, while swallowing or inhalation. Remove any moisture residues in the tubing by
starting the appliance for a few minutes without connecting the nebuliser. If the tubing is
dirty, replace it with a clean one.

2. In order for the nebuliser to operate correctly, after each use:
Upon disconnecting the tubing, disassemble the mouthpiece or mask.
Open the medication cup cover and empty the cup. Wash the nebuliser with running water or
leave it in warm water for 15 minutes. For a better cleaning effect, mix water with some
vinegar (1/3 vinegar, 2/3 water).
CAUTION: Do not clean the accessories in boiling water, this may cause their damage.
Do not clean the accessories in a dishwasher.
Dry the accessories thoroughly before longer storage.
8. REPLACEABLE ACCESSORIES
To guarantee effective inhalation, correct operation and safety, buy original accessories only. All
accessories may be used directly on skin. They are phthalate-free.

9. PERIODIC EXAMINATION
In order to maintain high performance of the appliance, the medication cup is recommended to be
replaced every 12 months (every 6 months, if the cup is used 3 times a day). A damaged cup should
be replaced immediately.

11. TROUBLESHOOTING

Switch on the appliance.
Place the filter inside the appliance.
Clean the appliance.
Remove all bents or knots found along the
tubing.
Replace the filter.
Add an appropriate amount of the medication
prescribed by the doctor, to the medication cup.
Adjust medication amount in the cup to the
appropriate level, connect the tubing to the
compressor and switch the appliance on.
Moisture left in the tubing may be removed by
starting the appliance for a few minutes without
connecting the nebuliser. If the tubing is dirty,
replace it with a clean one.

NOTES

1. Diagnosis S.A. grants a warranty:
2 years for the BOBO-NEB nebulizer (excluding accessories)
12 months for nebulizer accessories
Hardware defects revealed during the warranty period will be rectified free of charge within 21
days.
The term runs from the date of delivery of the equipment to the service center.
2. The purchaser shall be entitled to replace the equipment for a new one, free of defects,
when:
the repair has not been made within the time limit set in item 1
an authorized service center found an irreparable manufacturing defect
during the warranty period, 4 repairs were effected, and the equipment still shows defects that
prevent its use in accordance with its intended purpose.
The concept of repair shall not include operations related to equipment check and cleaning.
3. The warranty shall not cover: batteries, products with illegible or damaged serial number,
damage due to the operation and storage inconsistent with the user manual, ingress of liquids
or foreign bodies, overvoltage of mains, repairs by unauthorized persons and random events.
4. Faulty equipment should be delivered by the buyer to the address of the main service center
or one of the Authorized Service Centers (listed in the appendix).
5. The warranty for the sold consumer goods shall not exclude, restrict, or suspend the powers
of the buyer resulting from non-conformity of the goods with the contract .
6. The only basis for the warranty rights shall be the warranty card with the date of sale, stamp
and signature of the salesperson. If the card is not completed, filled in wrongly, with traces
of corrections and entries made by unauthorized persons, illegible as a result of damage - it
shall be invalid.
