Tips fortheAssembly:
Importantnotice: All acrylicpartswerecutwithalaser.Duetothis productionmethodthere isaprotectivefilmon
their surface.It has tobe removedbeforethe assembly.The protective filmpreventstheacrylic frombeing damagedin
the productionprocess.Underneaththefoiltheacrylicis clean.
The MDFcomponentswere alsocutwithalaser.Themethodcreatesanedge whoseodormay possiblybeperceivedas
unpleasant woododor.Ifnecessary,theMDFcomponentsaretobeairedoutoutdoors, 24 to36 hoursare sufficient.
StainsontheMDFare normal and whentheclock hasbeenassembledthey arebeing coveredby the chrome foil and
themotherboard.
The protective filmneedstobe removedcarefullyfromthe acrylic numbers.Forthis purposethekit containsared
acrylic tool.Withthis toolthe protective filmcanbe liftedontheedgesforeasierremoval.Pleasebevery careful.
Especiallythetwolight pipesofevery acrylic numberare veryfragile and break whenthere is toomuchstrain. Take
yourtime forthis step.
It is alsorecommendabletowear glovessothe acrylicdoesnotget stained. In case there are fingerprintsonthe acrylic
inspite ofthat,remove themimmediately using anewand cleanmicrofibercloth. Pleasedo notusealcoholor
methylated spirits tocleanit.Thatdestroys the acrylicimmediately! Iftheuseofcleaning detergentsisnecessarythen
please useonly plasticcleanerwithout alcoholand without solvents.
Please bevery carefulwiththemotherboardwhiletheclockis not assembledyet.Especially theoperating panelis
fragile (e.g. concerning pressure).Pleasedonotpress it until thewhole assemblyoftheswitchand the encoderis
completed.
Throughoutthe assemblytoolsare unnecessary.Afitting Torxscrewdriveris helpfulbut shouldnot be usedwithforce.
The screwsshouldonly betightenedwithyourhands.That is very important forthe insertionofthe acrylic numbers.
Only insert themwhilethescrewsarealittle tightenedbut still loose.Ifyoutightenthemtoomuchthefragile acrylic
numbers canbreak.
Please add theknobforthe encoderand the aluminumknobforthepush-buttoncarefully.Duetothe laser-cutting the
knobfortheencoderhasone sidewhere it is easiertoadd and onewhere it isalittle harder.Ifyouhave problemswith
this componenttryturning it around.

In spite ofthevery precise RTC(deviationonly few secondspermonth)the NixieCroNM4 canbe synchronizedwith
externalsignals.
DCF77,Wi-Fiand GPSare available.The respectivesynccaneasily beconnectedtothemotherboard.
Ifyouwouldliketoacquireasyncpleasecontactyourretailer.
LEDBASIC:
The operating systemofthe NixieCroNM4 kitsisbasedonLEDBASIC.The32bitARM-CortexM0 controlleronthe
motherboardcanprocessthe BASICcode quickly—about10,000 linespersecond.
The inspirationforLEDBASICis the Basicinterpreterby AdamDunkel.
WithLEDBASICyoucanchange,modify,oradjustthecomplete NixieCroNsystem.LEDBASICis freeware and canbe
learnedeasily.

The editoris only compatible withWindows.Windows7 -10are recommended.
PowerSupply:
The powersupply areUSB-compatiblecontactslike smartphone powersupplies,USBpowerbanks, USBcontactsofPC
orlaptop. Onthemotherboardthere are twoUSBconnectors(miniand micro).Onlyoneofthe connectorscanbe used
at once.

ManualfortheClock:
The software isconstantly being developed. We recommend consulting theBasiccode forthecurrentmanual.
1. Please downloadtheLEDBASICEditorand install it
2. SelecttheentryLED-Nixie-4 inthesettingsmenu and tick it
3. Openthe filemenu and select the latestversion(e.g. LED-Nixie4-Vanessa-2.06).The entriescanbe sorted
according tothe date.Atthe beginning ofthe sourcecodethe currentmanual ofthe fileis included.
