The Bass Squeeze Compressor is a studio quality, dual-band compressor
for bass guitar. Featuring dbx®dynamics processing courtesy of
DigiTech’s AudioDNA™ DSP engine, the Bass Squeeze provides the
versatility you will need for a variety of applications. Whether you are
mildly compressing the lows and highs, or doing radical tone shaping, you
will find that the Bass Squeeze will be an indispensible part of your rig.
1. Level Knob
Controls the effect’s output level. Turn this knob clockwise to increase
the output level, and counter-clockwise to decrease output level. With
the LO BAND and HI BAND knobs at their minimum position, turning
the LEVEL knob to its maximum position gives you unity gain.
2. X-Over Knob
Controls the crossover frequency separating the LO BAND and HI
BAND compressors. The X-Over’s minimum position is 100Hz and
maximum position is 3kHz. Frequencies below the crossover setting are
controlled by the LO BAND compression knob. Frequencies above
the crossover setting are controlled by the HI BAND compression
knob. Experiment with this control in conjunction with the LO and HI
BAND knobs to determine the best position for your application.

3.AC Adapter Jack
Connect a DigiTech PS200R power supply to this jack. Use the proper
supply for your area’s Mains line voltage.
4. LO Band Knob
Controls the compression amount of the frequencies below the
X-OVER knob’s setting. Turning this knob clockwise increases the
amount of compression and level of these frequencies. Lower settings
help control peaks while higher settings greatly emphasize these
frequencies. Creative use of this knob in conjunction with the HI
BAND,X-OVER and LEVEL knobs makes the Bass Squeeze a useful
tool for both dynamics processing and bass tone manipulation.
5. HI Band Knob
Controls the amount of compression of the frequencies above the X-
OVER knob’s setting. Turning this knob clockwise increases the amount
of compression and level of these frequencies. Lower settings help
control peaks while higher settings greatly emphasize these frequencies.
Creative use of this knob in conjunction with the LO BAND,X-OVER
and LEVEL knobs makes the Bass Squeeze a useful tool for both
dynamics processing and bass tone manipulation.

6. Input Jack
Connect your bass to this jack. Connecting a cable to this jack engages
battery power even though the Indicator LED may be off. To prolong
battery life, disconnect cables from the pedal when not in use.
7. Pedal Release Pins
These two pins are spring-loaded hinges that hold the pedal in place.
Push either pin in to release the pedal from the chassis, exposing the
battery compartment. (See battery replacement diagram.)
8. Pedal
Turns the effect on and off.
9. Out 1(Amp) Jack
Connect this output to your bass amplifier.
10. Indicator LED
Indicates when the effect is turned on. If the LED becomes dim or does
not light when the cables are connected, the battery needs to be replaced.

11. Out 2 (Mixer) Jack
This output features DigiTech’s CIT™ cabinet modeling technology, that
lets you run the pedal directly into a mixer or recorder input without
having to use a bass amplifier. The CIT model is based on a 4x10
cabinet.
Connections
The Bass Squeeze has a single input (INPUT) and a pair of outputs (AMP
and MIXER). The two outputs give you the following options: running
into a bass amplifier, running directly to a mixing console or recording
device, or both. The MIXER output uses DigiTech’s advance CIT™
cabinet modeling technology for an authentic bass amplifier sound
without using an amp.
Follow these setup directions:
1.Turn the volume down on the amplifier/mixer you are connecting to.
2. Connect the pedal output to the amplifier/mixer input.
3. Connect the bass to the pedal input.
4. Connect the power supply to the pedal (optional).
5.Turn the LEVEL knob on the pedal to the maximum position and the
LO and HI BAND knobs to the minimum position.

6.Turn up your amplifier/mixer level to the listening level.
7.Turn on the pedal by pressing the pedal switch, and gradually turn up
the LO and HI BAND knobs and adjust the LEVEL knob to a
desired listening level.

Sample Settings
Battery Replacement
1. Using the tip of a 1/4”cable, push one of the release pins in on either
side of the pedal, and remove the pedal from the pedal chassis.
2. Remove the battery from the battery compartment and disconnect
the battery cable.
3. Connect a new battery to the battery cable and put it back in the
battery compartment. Make sure the battery cable does not interfere
with the spring or pedal switch arm.
4. Place one hole of the pedal over its corresponding pin.
5. Push the opposite pin in and lower the other side of the pedal into
place over the depressed pin. Release the pin. When the pedal is
properly fastened, both released pins are flush with the outer side of
the pedal.
