Product Features
Congratulations on selecting the DLI Automatic Transfer
Switch, a smart dual-input AC failover switch.
Features include:
Easy to Use
Simply connect inputs and outputs. No settings are required.
Full Microprocessor Control
The internal microprocessor automatically handles brown-out,
blackout, wiring fault detection, and loss of power detection.
Fast Switching
Switching is fast and fully automatic. Switching typically
occurs in less than 10ms (.01s)
4 Switched, L-15 outlets
Four switched outlets are provided, fed by two 7’ length
14Ga L-15 power cords.
LCD and RS-232 Serial Status Display
Status of the switch may be monitored on the LCD display
or remotely via the RS-232 output port.
1500ms+ Holdover Time
The switch will typically operate for up to 2 seconds after
complete loss of power on both input



Compatible Attached Equipment
Any AC load may be connected. Inductive and power-
factor-corrected loads will not adversely affect operation of
the switch. Total rated load current is 12A.
Installation
Connect the input cords to any two AC power supplies. For
example, you may connect a UPS and a Grid power source
to ensure that attached equipment will continue to run in the
event of a UPS failure.
Operation
Operation is fully automatic. When the primary (preferred)
input power supply fails, loads will quickly be switched to
the backup power source. After primary power is restored
and stable for a minimum of 5 seconds, loads will be
switched back to the primary power source. Status is
displayed on the LCD

RS-232 Port
The DTE RS-232 port operates at 9600, N,8,1 in
output-only mode. Status is sent periodically.

Limited One-Year Warranty
The terms of this warranty may be legally binding. If you do not agree
to the terms listed below, return the product immediately in original
unopened condition for a full refund. The purchaser assumes the entire
risk as to the results and performance of the unit. DLI warrants this
power controller to be free from major defects. No agency, country, or
local certifications are included with this unit. It is the responsibility of
the user to obtain such certifications if they necessary for the customer’s
application. DLI’s entire liability and exclusive remedy as to defective
hardware shall be, at DLI’s option, either (a) return of the purchase price
or (b) replacement or repair of the hardware that does not meet DLI’s
quality control standards and has been returned through proper RMA
procedures. DLI’s liability for repair or replacement is to DLI’s customer
ONLY. WARRANTY SERVICE DOES NOT INCLUDE DAMAGE DUE
TO OPERATION ON 240VAC FOR WHICH THE PRODUCT IS NOT
INTENDED. No warranty service will be provided without an original
invoice from DLI and an RMA number provided by technical support.
RMA material must be shipped prepaid to DLI. RMA numbers are valid
for 15 days from date of issue. This warranty does not cover products
modified, subjected to rough handling, or used in applications for which
they were not originally intended. Batteries are not covered under
warranty. Physical damage caused by customer or in transit to DLI is not
covered under warranty. No oral advice or verbal warranties made by
DLI’s employees, dealers, or distributors shall in any way increase the
scope of this warranty. DLI makes no warranty as to merchantability or
fitness for any particular purpose. DLI assumes no liability for incidental
or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use this
product. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have
other rights that vary from state to state. Since some states do not allow
the exclusion of liability for consequential damages, some of the above
limitations may not apply to you.
