This intelligent DirectConnect®High Speed
HDMI™ Ultra High Performance Amplified
Switcher allows four HDMI™ source
devices to be switched into one HDTV
monitor or projector. It not only has the wireless IR remote function, but also has
an intelligent function. Controls via included wireless IR remote or a newly
adopted high tech touch button design for soft touch switching. This device also
has been upgraded to be intelligent by routing high-definition video (in multiple
resolutions up to 1080P) and digital audio from any one of four sources to a high-
definition display. All four inputs accommodate the simultaneous connections of HD
sources, such as Blu-ray®, satellite, and cable. Quite different than other switchers,
this intelligent DirectConnect®ultra high-performance amplified switcher has one
input port on the front panel. This not only reduces the switcher to an ideal small size
but also is more convenient for users to connect additional source devices.

7.0 LIMITED WARRANTY
Should any consumer product from DirectConnect®fail due to defects in materials
or workmanship within two years from the date of the original sale to the end-user,
DirectConnect®guarantees replacement of the defective product at no cost. Freight
charges for the replacement unit will be paid by the customer. A copy of the invoice
showing the item number and date of purchase (proof-of-purchase) must be
submitted with the defective unit to constitute a valid in-warranty claim.
Units that fail after the warranty period has expired may be returned to the factory
for repair at a nominal charge, if not damaged beyond the point of repair. All freight
charges for out-of-warranty returns for repair are the responsibility of the customer.
Units returned for repair must have a Return Authorization Number assigned by
DirectConnect®.
This is a limited warranty and is not applicable for products which, in our opinion,
have been damaged, altered, abused, misused, or improperly installed.
DirectConnect®makes no other warranties either expressed or implied, including
limitation warranties as to merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Additionally, there are no allowances or credits available for service work or
installation performed in the field by the end user.

3.0 PACKAGE CONTENTS
Before attempting to use this DirectConnect®unit, please check the packaging and
make sure the following items are contained in the shipping carton:

Note:
Please retain the original packing material in case you need to return the unit. If you
find any items missing, contact DirectConnect®immediately (800.531.3224). Please
have the model number, serial number, and invoice available for reference when you call.
4.0 PANEL DESCRIPTIONS
5.0 CONNECT AND OPERATE
1) Connect the HDMI™ input ports of this switcher to each HDMI™ source device.
(Input cables are optional and an optional extender may be needed for runs greater than 6 feet)
*Please refer to connection diagram section.
2) Connect the HDMI™output port of this Switcher to the HDTV device or display.
3) Insert the DC side of 5v power supply into the HDMI™switch and then connect
the AC side of the power supply into the wall outlet.
4) Turn on the power.
Attention: Insert/Remove cables gently & avoid twisting/kinking your HDMI™ cables.

6.0 TROUBLESHOOTING
If this DirectConnect®product does not appear to be functioning, please make
certain that the source and the destination device connected to the unit are
functioning correctly. If other problems exist please check the conditions below carefully.
Without LED light
Is the power adapter connected? If a power strip
is used, is the ON/OFF switch in “ON” position?
No display
Is the display unit turning on? Are cables
connected properly? Please refer to the
connection diagram.
Without sound
1) Check the display volume
2) Turn off the HDMI™source (DVD, PS3 etc.)
and power on again. If it’s still not ok, then
3) Turn off the switch box and turn on again
4) Repeat step 2 again if still not working
Note: Some HDMI™devices without ATC certified and
DPL ratings may have such problems.
Poor picture quality
(snow, sparkles, banding, etc)
Examine the HDMI™ cable and replace with
new cables if possible. To ensure that the
Distribution Amplifier is operating correctly, test
with the shortest HDMI™ cable possible.
Longer or inferior/ damaged cables will
compromise image quality.
Remote not working
Replace the battery of the remote control
DO NOT open the HDMI™switch box. There are no user repairable parts inside.

6.1 NON-HDCP-COMPLIANT DEVICES
If a DVI device does not appear to work, make certain that the device is HDCP-
compliant. A non-HDCP-compliant DVI device will not work with a signal that has
HDCP encoding present.

1.1 INTELLIGENT FUNCTION
This is intelligent HDMI™4X1 Amplified Switcher allows four HDMI™source
devices switched into one HDTV monitor or projector. The adopted touch button
design lets you enjoy the high technology and easy switching life. This intelligent
Switcher is quite different from other switchers; it has one HDMI™ input port on the
front panel which reduces the switcher to an ideal small size but also is more
convenient for users to connect additional source devices.
1) When supplied with power, this switcher will select the power-on source device
depending on the sequence automatically (input1>input2>input3>input4)
2) Once the source device is turned on or plugged in (should stay power-on mode), the
switcher will automatically select this source.
3) Once the source device is turned off or unplugged, the switcher will automatically
select the next power-on source depending on the sequence (input1>input2>input3>input4)
4) Once the touch button been touched, this switcher will automatically select the
next power-on source depending on the sequence (input1>input2>input3>input4)
Please Note:
1) When the source devices are on the stand-by mode, its power supply should be turned off, otherwise
this switcher cannot meet intelligent function.
2) When plugged in or out, this switcher is completely intelligent.
