Key Release Voltage Test
Type 1:
Follow this installation if Gray/Yellow test:
1. IGN OFF: 0 Volts
2. IGN ON: 0 Volts
Type 2:
Follow the installation on the next page if the
Gray/Yellow wire tests with the following results:
1. IGN OFF: 0 Volts
2. IGN ON: 12 Volts
Without Push Button Start Switching the ignition on/off
•Insert the key into the ignition lock.
•Press the key briefly without pressing the clutch pedal
(for manual transmissions) or the brake pedal (for automatic
transmissions).
•To switch the ignition off, press the key again.
With Push Button Start Switching the ignition on/off
•Press the START ENGINE STOP button without pressing the
clutch pedal (for manual transmissions) or the brake pedal
(for automatic transmissions)
•To switch the ignition off, press the button again.
Using a multimeter, follow the type that corresponds with the key
release wire test:
