!
Atención
Al instalar el equipo de aire acondicionado en el techo se
debe proteger la parte superior de la cabina con un paño
o manta protectora para evitar posibles arañazos. Al
instalar Compact 1.4 en el techo hay que tener en cuenta
que, normalmente, las cabinas que vienen provistas de
escotilla, tienen una estructura suciente para soportar
el peso del equipo. Sin embargo, cuando no ocurra así y
sea necesario realizar corte en el techo o incluso si en el
caso de llevar escotilla el material no es lo sucientemente
resistente (caso de techo de bra, plástico, etc...) es el
instalador el que debe decidir, bajo su responsabilidad,
sobre la necesidad de reforzar el techo para evitar posibles
deformaciones, roturas, entradas de agua, etc... habilitando
los medios para que esto no ocurra.
!
Atención
Si durante el montaje el equipo se inclina o se abate
la cabina con el equipo montado, se deberá esperar
un mínimo de 60 minutos, desde que el quipo quede
horizontal, antes de ponerlo en marcha.
En vehículos en los que la conexión eléctrica se
realice a baterías adicionales independientes de las de
arranque del vehículo, es opcional, la conguración
de la electrónica a nuevos parámetros de corte de
batería (ver página 10).

Recomendaciones
Para el montaje
• Antes de iniciar el montaje leer las instrucciones y
seguirlas durante el proceso de instalación.
• Usar las herramientas adecuadas para cada operación.
Electricidad
• Desconectar la llave de contacto.
• Desconectar la batería antes de empezar el montaje.
• Asegurar el conexionado de los componentes
eléctricos, vericando su correcto encaje. Simbología

Desmontar escotilla y los elementos de jación y
entregar éstos al cliente.

EXTERIOR CABINA:
Posicionar el Compact en el hueco escotilla.
Fijar el equipo con (16) tornillos roscaplástico
WN5451 (60x20) con un par de apriete de 3,75 ±
10% Nm. manteniendo el siguiente orden:
• Apretar primero los (4) tornillos de las esquinas
(siguiendo el orden numérico de la gura adjunta)
y posteriormente el resto de tornillos.

Conectar cableado del equipo con el cableado
suministrado.

Pasar el cableado siguiendo el trazado de los
cables originales y las estructuras existentes en
el techo hacia la parte delantera derecha de la
cabina. Coloque el cableado entre el panel lateral
y la guantera situada encima del parabrisas.
En la cubierta de la columna A, retire el altavoz y el
tornillo situado detrás del altavoz. A continuación,
retire el panel.
En la parte superior de la columna A retire el tornillo
y aoje el panel mostrado.

Llevar el cableado por dentro de la cubierta A junto
con el resto de cables originales.
Aoje la junta de la puerta junto al panel de
instrumentos e inserte el cableado en el hueco
entre la columna A y el tablero de instrumentos.
Retire la tapa de la caja de fusibles, a la derecha
se encuentra el soporte de relés y fusibles
adicionales, destacado con un marco rojo. Retire
los dos tornillos y extraiga el soporte.
Asegurarse de que el cableado viene a la parte
frontal del soporte de relés y fusibles adicionadles
desde la parte trasera del mismo.

Instalar los terminales suministrados en los cables
de acuerdo con la ilustración.
Insertar el cable rojo / positivo en el portafusibles.
Por el reverso de la caja fusibles, insertar el
portafusibles con el cable en una posición vacía.
Asegurarse de que encaje en su posición. Desde
la parte frontal, insertar un fusible de 30 A.

En el reverso del soporte de relés y fusibles
adicionales conectar también el cable negro /
tierra a la línea de toma de tierra en una posición
desocupada. (En el marco rojo en la imagen a la
derecha).
Volver a montar los componentes en su posición
original.

Colocar consola con (4) allen 6/100x15 y poner 8
tapones de plástico.

En vehículos en los que la conexión eléctrica se realice a baterías adicionales independientes de las de
arranque del vehículo, es opcional, la conguración de la electrónica a nuevos parámetros de corte de
batería, según se indica a continuación.

Con el equipo apagado apretar simultáneamente los botones y

durante tres segundos hasta
que aparezca “Hi” en el display del panel de control haciendo referencia al corte de batería alto (22,8 V).
Una vez que aparezca “Hi” presionar la tecla
-
.
El display pasará a mostrar “Lo” haciendo referencia a corte de batería bajo (19 V). Pulsar tecla On/Off
para conrmar.
Para volver a conguración inicial repetir la operación 1, seleccionar “Hi” con tecla
+
y conrmar con
tecla On/Off .

!
Warning
When installing air conditioning equipment on roof, the
upper cabin part must be protected with a cloth or a
protective blanket to avoid possible scratches. When
installing Compact 1.4 on roof, take into account that,
normally, cabins equipped with a hatch have a strong
enough structure to hold equipment weight. However,
if it is not the case and it is necessary to carry out a
cut in the roof or, although it has a hatch, the material
is not resistant enough (if roof is made of bre, plastic,
etc...), it is the installer who will have to decide, under
his responsibility, if it is necessary to reinforce the roof to
avoid possible deformations, breaks, water entries, etc.,
habilitating the means required to stop it from occurring.
!
Warning
If the unit slants during assembly, wait for at least
60 minutes with the unit in horizontal position before
starting it up.

• Use the adequate tools for each operation.

and hand them over to the customer.

Fix the equipment with (16) WN5451 (60x20)
plastic screws with a tightening torque of 3,75 ±
10% Nm. maintaining the following order:
• First tighten the (4) corner screws (following the
numerical order of the attached gure) and then
the rest of the screws.

supplied wiring.

Rout cable along existing cables and structures
in the roof area towards the front right part of the
cab. Position the cable between the side panel
and the storage above the windscreen.
On the A-pillar cover, remove speaker and the
screw behind the speaker. Then remove the
panel.
In A-pillar upper region remove the screw and
loosen the panel shown.

Rout the cable inside the A-pillar cover along with
other cables.
Loosen the door seal next to the instrument panel
and insert the cable in the gap between the A-pillar
and instrument panel.
Remove cover to power central, to the right is the
Body Builder Power Central, highlighted with a red
frame. Remove the two screws and pull out this
unit.
Make sure cable comes in a front-to-rear-direction
to the reverse side.

Install the supplied terminals on the cables
according to the illustration.
Insert red/positive cable into the fuse holder.
On the reverse side of the Body builder Power
Central, insert the fuseholder with cable in an un-
occupied position. Make sure it snaps into position.
From the front side, insert a 30 A fuse.

On the reverse side of the Body Builder Power
Central also connect the black/Ground cable to the
earth bar in an un-occupied position. (In red frame
on picture to the right).
Reassemble everything in its original position.

screws and attach the (4) plastic caps.

In vehicles in which the electrical connection is made to additional batteries which are independent from
the vehicle’s start-up, the conguration of the electronics to the new battery cut parameters is optional
(as indicated below).

With the unit off, press the and
+
buttons at the same time for three seconds, until “Hi” appears in
the control panel display, referring to the high battery cut (22.8 V).
Press the
-
key when “Hi” appears.
The display will show “Lo”, referring to the low battery cut (19 V). Press the On/Off key to conrm.
To return to the initial conguration, repeat operation 1, select “Hi” using the
+
key and conrm using
the On/Off key.
