Each Dive System illuminator is designed, developed and assembled in Italy in the laboratories of
the Dive System Electronic Lab.
Each torch has a warranty of 2 years. The warranty is valid only if the warranty module was
correctly compiled in each of its part when it was bought and signed by the vendor.
The warranty covers only damages due to production process.
Please check periodically for updates of this manual on our website www.divesystem.com.
2. ACCESSORIES
The LithiumLed torch is furnished with:
-Intelligent battery charger
The connector (to which the battery charger has to be attached to) is on the final part of the torch
and protected with a cap.
Don’t dive if the connector cap is not correctly screwed in. Check before screwing in the cap
that the ORing is not damaged and/or dirty.

3. TORCH DESCIPTION
The LithiumLed torch is furnished with a lantern handle.
Figure 1: LithiumLed torch
The torch has a rotating ferrule ignition (spring like or friction like depending on the version).
With the friction like ferrule it is possible to regulate the rotation hardness by screwing clockwise or
counter clockwise the plastic screw.
With the spring like ferrule it is possible to regulate the click strength by screwing clockwise or
counter clockwise the metallic stud beside the plastic screw. Attention, if the stud is screwed in too
much the ferrule may stall itself.

The ferrule can rotate on a 180° angle.
To light on the torch just position the mark, designed on the plane part of the ferrule, on the ON
symbol “I”.

To switch off the torch just position the mark, designed on the plane part of the ferrule, on the OFF
symbol “0”.

5. ADVERTISMENTS
ATTENTION!!! Do not point the torch directly in the eyes. Don’t look directly to the light emitted
from the torch, the emitted light could cause serious permanent damages to your sight.
The torch should be stored clean and dry.
Don’t expose the torch to chemical substances. To clean the torch use exclusively fresh water,
paying attention to remove all salt deposits.
The torch was designed for a underwater usage. However if you light on the torch outside the water,
once the torch reaches its temperature limit, the torch switches off automatically thanks to its TSS
system.
ATTENTION !!! If you light on the torch outside the water the case may reach a temperature in
excess of 50°C.
Do not hit the torch.
Do not expose the torch directly to the sunlight or to heat sources higher than 50°C. Store the torch
in a dry and cool place (5°C/25°C).
Do not try to open, modify or repair the torch on you own, always address it to Dive System or
authorized assistance centres.
Do not screw out the connector cap during diving.
Dive System is not responsible for accidents deriving from an improper usage of the torch.
The warranty is void if the security paint is removed.
6. TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Laser etched aluminium case.
Very homogeneous light Beam without any chromatic and/or spatial aberrations.
CML System (“Constant Maximum luminosity”), allows to maintain to 100% the emitten luminous
power for the whole declared autonomy.
BLM System (“Backup Light Mode”), once the battery is exhausted the luminous power is reduced
to the 20% allowing a backup light for at least 30 minutes.
TSS System (“Temperature Safety System”), shouts down the torch if it reaches a critical
temperature in order to avoid damages to the torch or to thing beside it.

DiveSystem–LithiumLed
User Manual Dive System LithiumLed - Version 1.2 English Page 8
EEC System (“Efficient Exploitation Circuit”), permits to use the whole energy stored in the
battery pack allowing high autonomies ad high luminous power.
Sealed Li-ion Battery pack of 53W (22,2V 2,4A/h).
Magnetic switch.
Light colour temperature: 7500°K (or 4000°K on request).
Bean angle: +/- 8°.
Reduced dimensions and weight.
Dimensions: max 68mm, min 48mm, length 245mm
Recharge without extracting the battery pack with an intelligent charger.
Maximum tested depth: 300meter.
Available configuration:
7. BATTERY RECHARGE
The recharge time is about 2,5 hours when the battery pack is completely exhausted.
The battery pack is constructed with Li-ion cells. Using Li-ion technology the memory effect is
very reduced. Moreover the battery pack is provided with a redistribution circuit which allows to
arise the efficiency during charge and discharge cycles.

We suggest to discharge completely the battery pack before recharging in order to have complete
charging cycles.
We suggest to not stop a non terminated recharge cycle.
To recharge the torch it is not necessary to disassemble the torch.
The charge connector is protected by a cap on the final part of the torch.
Screw out the cap with a coin.
Make sure that the torch is clean and dry before screwing out the connector cap.
Figure 7: Connector cap
Insert the plug in the connector, afterwards insert the battery charger connector to the network plug,
the recharge process will start automatically.

ATTENTION!!! Make sure that the ferrule is on the OFF position before and during the charge
process..
Once completed the recharge process remove the plug and screw in the connector cap. Make sure
the ORing is not dirty and/or damaged.
Do not use non original battery chargers.
If you do not use the torch for a long period we suggest to recharge completely the battery pack and
to store it in a dry and cool (5°C/25°C) place. Remind to recharge the battery pack at least once
every 3-4 months.
Do not recharge the battery in a hot and wet place.
