Due to damage during transportation leakage can occur. Please check visually
that there is no damage to the front glass, o-rings, electrical plugs and that the
stainless clips are in the lock-down position.
BEFORE USE
1. Remove light from road case # Note – don’t lose the rubber strip that protects the glass
in transit. It will be needed when returning light to road case.
2. Check for damage during transportation – # Note warning above
3. Check that globe is central to the protective glass. If not contact your supplier

to-cable, cable-to-light-fixture and cable-to-earth-leakage
device). . Push firmly to join connection. A small amount
of Silicone grease or spray (ONLY) can aid the process.

9. USING THE LIGHT UNDERWATER
1. The light can be hand-held or placed on a lighting stand. The 5/8 receiver is designed
to accommodate many different types of spigots.
2. Be careful not to pull on the electrical cables. A simple short piece of rope tying the
cable to the bail arm can help in many situations. Please note: Additional cable maybe
required in strong currents. Talk to your supplier about the intended use of the light.
3. Always allow no less than 5 minutes for the light to cool in the water before removal.
Do not place the light less than 1 metre away from an object. Do not stand the
light down on the lens brackets onto a surface when on. Heat can reflect back
into the light causing damage or possible injury or death.
Do not touch the protective glass tube at any stage during use and after. Burning
hazards may result.
The light is depth rated to a maximum of 30 metres (100ft)
Do not exceed this depth.
Water inside the housing (especially sea water) can have fatal consequences
due to conduction of electricity and build up of pressure from the vaporising of
water to steam. Therefore, during the use of the light, please check repeatedly,
whether water has found its way inside. Do this by holding the light on a slant
pointing down, with the ray of light pointing away from the body. Then look at the
front glass from the side. If there is water inside the housing, cease operation
immediately by turning off the light and returning to the surface. Please allow the
light to cool for not less than 5 minutes before removing it from the water.

OMD Technology Instructions for Use of 5000w Tungsten 12
11. AFTER USE
1. Allow light to cool for no less than 5 minutes in the water.
2. Rinse in fresh water.
3. Dry light adequately before placing it back into the road case.
4. Insure that you fit the length of rubber supplied over the bulb before closing. This can
be found in the road case and prevents the bail arm from damaging the protective
glass.
Do not pack light head in roadcase if hot or warm. Burning hazards from the packing
material may result.
12. TRANSPORT
1. Ensure that light head is placed back into the supplied road case as it arrived. .
2. Ensure that all locking clips are in the lock-down (secured) position.
