UNPACKING
D NOT use a knife t pen the package r c ntents as this may result in damaging the pr duct(s)!
Open the uter b x n the t p-side (indicated by the 'this way up” sign n the labels). Carefully lift the d cking cabinet fr m it's b x and
rem ve the bubble-f il.
REMOVING TRANSPORT TAPE
Several parts have been secured with range tape, t prevent them
fr m m ving during transp rt.
L cate and rem ve all the range the tape gently and verify that
these parts are in their riginal perati nal p siti n.
If n t, re-fit r re-insert as necessary.

The CMT-30 (r2) will fit Optic n scanner m dels OPN-2001, OPN-2002, OPN-2005 and OPN-2006.
Always check ur website f r the latest list f m dels that fit if y ur m del isn't listed here.
Bef re inserting y ur scanner be sure t rem ve the rubber USB c ver (if any). Save the USB c ver in case it's needed
at a later stage.
The inserti n area is as tight as p ssible t ensure stability f r the OPN scanner. That als means that the OPN w n't fit any m re when
used in c mbinati n with any available OPN sleeve r case (rubber, leather, etc.).
By rem ving the USB c ver fr m the scanner dust and/ r m ist can penetrate the c nnect r and pening(s) behind
the USB c ver m re easily. It is p ssible that the pr ducts' IP rating has been altered t .
Rem ving any riginal part fr m the scanner c uld v id warranty. D ing s is at y ur wn risk!
Other m dels (f r example the OPN-2003 and OPN-2004) w n't fit.
Trying t insert unlisted m dels will result in damage t the d cking cabinet and ther scanner m del!

POSITIONING
The CMT-30 has rubber feet n the b tt m and can be used as a desk-stand , r it can be wall-m unted with the 'Wall M unt KIT'
which is separately available as an access ry.
Desk-stand
Please make sure the CMT-30 is p siti ned n a firm backgr und which is level.
Wall-m unted
The Wall M unt KIT c nsists f:

•M6 x 35mm universal nyl n plugs, gray (3x)
•M5 x 40mm screws, galvanized (3x)
POWER AND CONNECTION
Input: 100–240V~, 50/60Hz
After unpacking and p siti ning, simply plug the p wer c nnect r (type: Shuk F) in the wall utlet.
The d cking cabinet is n w ready f r use.
CMT-30 USAGE SAMPLES
•CHARGE ONLY
Y u can use the CMT-30 as a 'charge nly d ck'. F r this y u nly need t plug the p wer c rd.
This way all thirty p rts are p wered and can be used t charge y ur scanner.
•COMMUNICATION AND CHARGING (MIXED)
Y u can use all p rts t c mmunicate with the PC as well. F r this c nnect the USB p rt situated at the back t a PC.
Remember: each scanner c nnecti n t the PC will generate it's wn VCP (Virtual C mm P rt), s make sure y ur s ftware is
able t handle this!
DRIVER INSTALLATION – ONLY NECESSARY WHEN USING COMMUNICATION ON THE CMT-30
The CMT-30 itself d es n t need a separate driver. The nly driver that needs t be installed n y ur PC is the appr priate
driver f r y ur scanner OPN-m del that y u wish t use n the CMT-30. If n t already d ne s , please f ll w the instructi ns
f r driver installati n in the c rresp nding manual that bel ngs t y ur scanner m del as pr vided by Optic n.

DOCKING YOUR SCANNER
H ld the scanner between y ur thumb and index finger n the OPN's b dy where USB c nnect r is situated in the side (thus, n t in the
middle but m re t the left side, USB c nnect r p inting d wnward). Simply c nnect y ur scanner t the d cking stati n by gently
placing the OPN ver the d ck t align the c nnect rs. When aligned press the scanner d wn t secure the c nnecti n.
Press firmly but never use excessive f rce when pressing d wn as this might damage the c nnect rs!
Check f r bstructi ns n b th c nnect rs and retry c nnecti n.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If y u are experiencing any pr blem with the CMT-30 the first thing t check is if the scanner perates c rrectly when c nnected directly
t the PC with an USB cable. D s by plugging the USB cable that came with y ur scanner int y ur scanner and make sure the ther
end f the USB cable g es directly int the PC (bypassing any present HUB).
If it d es functi n pr perly c ntinue at the check-list bel w, therwise the pr blem is with y ur scanner itself, the USB cable r the PC
(USB p rt and/ r driver(s)).
