5 Intended use
The vent window is suitable for installing in caravans and motor homes.
This product is only suitable for the intended purpose and application in accordance
with these instructions.
This manual provides information that is necessary for proper installation and/or
operation of the product. Poor installation and/or improper operating or mainte-
nance will result in unsatisfactory performance and a possible failure.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any injury or damage to the product
resulting from:
• Incorrect assembly or connection, including excess voltage
• Incorrect maintenance or use of spare parts other than original spare parts
provided by the manufacturer
• Alterations to the product without express permission from the manufacturer
• Use for purposes other than those described in this manual

6 Installation
6.1 Preparing the installation
1. Before installation, check the wall thickness of your vehicle. Consult the vehicle
manufacturer if you have any questions.
2. When choosing the installation location, observe the following:
– Adjoining components (attachment and reinforcing parts), cables and cabi-
nets in the vehicle interior must not get damaged when sawing the hole.
– Sufficient space needs to be available for installing the inner and outer frames.
– Only install the window on flat wall surfaces.
6.2 Cutting out the wall hole

6.3 Installing the reinforcing rails (optional)

1. Before installation, check whether the wall hole needs reinforcing.
2. Remove the foam/insulation according to the width of the reinforcing rails (not in
scope of delivery) (A).
3. Fit the reinforcing rails (B).
6.4 Installing the vent window

➤Measure the wall thickness W.

➤Clean the wall section in the installation area with a soft, damp cloth.

➤Seal the outer frame with a flexible, non-hardening butyl cord (diameter 6 mm) or
a flexible non-hardening sealing compound (e.g. SikaLastomer-710).
Start and end in the lower area.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Observe the sealant manufacturer's instructions.

1. Place the outer frame in the middle of the wall section.
2. Press the outer frame slightly onto the wall so that the sealing compound
spreads out.

➤Fasten the screws with a torque controlled screwdriver.
✔The fixation elements automatically rotate into the correct position.

1. Attach the inner frame to the outer frame.
The centering pins (1) must fit into the fixation elements (2).
2. Remove the protective film from both sides of the acrylic glass.

3. After installing, check that the window and the blind system work properly.
7Operation
7.1 Opening the window

1. Press the sliding button towards the window and keep it pressed and simultane-
ously turn the handle by 90°.
✔The window handle is unlocked.
2. Repeat step 1 with the other handles.
3. Tilt the window pane outwards until it reaches the required opening angle.
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Only use a torque controlled screwdriver with a max. torque of 1.5 Nm
for fastening the screws to prevent damaging the window frame.
NOTE
If the protective film is exposed to sunlight for too long, it cannot be
taken off without leaving a residue.

7.2 Closing the window
Supplementary to fig. a
1. Pull the window pane back at one of the bottom rotary bolts.
Here you must overcome the tension of the vent.
2. Turn all window handles by 90°.
✔The window handles are locked.
3. When in a closed position, the outer lobe of the window handle must be posi-
tioned inside the frame.

Closing the blind

➤Pull the blind and the insect screen by the handle bar to the desired position
(fig. c).
✔The blind stays in closed position.
Opening the blind
➤Pull the blind and the insect screen by the handle bar to the desired opened posi-
tion.
✔The handle bar holds firm in every position.
7.5 Disassembling the inner frame
You can disassemble the inner frame in case that you need to readjust the blind ten-
sion or replace it.
➤To disassemble the inner frame proceed as shown (fig. d).
NOTICE! Damage hazard
In strong sunlight, only close the blackout roller blind two thirds of the
way to prevent a build-up of heat between the roller blind and the win-
dow.

8 Cleaning and maintenance

➤Clean the roller blind with mild soap and water.
➤Clean the pleated blind with a damp cloth or a duster.
➤To prevent material fatigue, do not keep the pleated blind closed for long peri-
ods of time.
➤Put talcum powder on the rubber seal.
9Warranty
The statutory warranty period applies. If the product is defective, please contact your
retailer or the manufacturer's branch in your country (see dometic.com/dealer).
For repair and warranty processing, please include the following documents when
you send in the product:
• A copy of the receipt with purchasing date
• A reason for the claim or description of the fault
Note that self-repair or non-professional repair can have safety consequences and
might void the warranty.

Recycling packaging material
NOTICE! Damage hazard
Do not use any sharp or hard objects for cleaning since they may
damage the acrylic glass. Especially do not use cleaning agents contain-
ing alcohol.
Only use cleaning agents that are approved by the manufacturer: Acrylic
glass cleaning agent (ref no. 9600000129) or the cleaning set (item
no. 9600000132).
➤Place the packaging material in the appropriate recycling waste bins wher-
ever possible.

5 Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Das Ausstellfenster ist geeignet zum Einbau in Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile.
Dieses Produkt ist nur für den angegebenen Verwendungszweck und die Anwen-
dung gemäß dieser Anleitung geeignet.
Dieses Handbuch enthält Informationen, die für die ordnungsgemäße Installation
und/oder den ordnungsgemäßen Betrieb des Produkts erforderlich sind. Installati-
onsfehler und/oder ein nicht ordnungsgemäßer Betrieb oder eine nicht ordnungs-
gemäße Wartung haben eine unzureichende Leistung und u. U. einen Ausfall des
Geräts zur Folge.
Der Hersteller übernimmt keine Haftung für Verletzungen oder Schäden am Pro-
dukt, die durch Folgendes entstehen:
• unsachgemäße Montage oder falscher Anschluss, einschließlich Überspannung
• unsachgemäße Wartung oder Verwendung von anderen als den vom Hersteller

6 Installation
6.1 Einbau vorbereiten
1. Prüfen Sie vor der Montage die Wandstärke lhres Fahrzeugs. Bei Fragen wenden
Sie sich an den Fahrzeughersteller.
2. Beachten Sie bei der Wahl des Einbauortes:
– Angrenzende Bauteile (Befestigungs- und Verstärkungsteile), Leitungen und
Einbauschränke im Fahrzeuginnenraum dürfen beim Sägen des Ausschnitts
nicht beschädigt werden.
– Es muss ausreichend Platz zum Montieren von Innen- und Außenrahmen vor-
handen sein.
– Montieren Sie das Wandfenster nur an ebenen Wandflächen.
6.2 Wandöffnung ausschneiden

6.3 Verstärkungsleisten einbauen (optional)
Ergänzung zu Abb. 3
1. Klären Sie vor dem Einbau, ob der Wandausschnitt verstärkt werden muss.
2. Entfernen Sie die Ausschäumung/Isolierung entsprechend der Breite der Ver-
stärkungsleisten (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) (A).
3. Passen Sie die Verstärkungsleisten ein (B).

6.4 Ausstellfenster einbauen

➤Messen Sie Ihre Wandstärke W.

➤Reinigen Sie den Wandbereich im Montagebereich mit einem weichen, feuch-
ten Tuch.

➤Dichten Sie den Außenrahmen mit einer flexiblen, nicht aushärtenden Butyl-
schnur (Durchmesser 6 mm) oder einer flexiblen, nicht aushärtenden Dichtmasse
(z. B. SikaLastomer-710) ab.
Beginnen und enden Sie im unteren Bereich.

1. Setzen Sie den Außenrahmen in Höhe und Breite mittig in den Wandausschnitt
ein.
2. Drücken Sie den Außenrahmen leicht an die Wand, damit sich die Dichtmasse
verteilt.

➤Ziehen Sie die Schrauben mit einem Drehmomentschraubendreher an.
✔Die Befestigungselemente drehen sich automatisch in die richtige Position.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
Beachten Sie die Hinweise des Dichtmittel-Herstellers.
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich einen Drehmomentschraubendreher mit
einem max. Anzugsmoment von 1,5 Nm zur Befestigung der Schrau-
ben, um eine Beschädigung des Fensterrahmens zu verhindern.

1. Befestigen Sie den Innenrahmen am Außenrahmen.
Die Zentrierstifte (1) müssen in die Befestigungselemente (2) eingepasst werden.
2. Ziehen Sie die PE-Schutzfolie innen und außen vom Acrylglas ab.

3. Prüfen Sie nach dem Einbau, ob das Fenster und das Rollo-System ordnungsge-
mäß funktionieren.
7 Betrieb
7.1 Fenster öffnen
Ergänzung zu Abb. 0
1. Drücken Sie den Schiebeknopf zum Fenster hin, halten Sie ihn gedrückt und
drehen Sie gleichzeitig den Griff um 90°.
✔Der Fenstergriff wird entriegelt.
2. Wiederholen Sie Schritt 1 mit den anderen Griffen.
3. Schwenken Sie die Scheibe nach außen, bis sie den gewünschten Öffnungswin-
kel erreicht hat.
7.2 Fenster schließen
Ergänzung zu Abb. a
1. Ziehen Sie die Fensterscheibe an einem der unteren Drehriegel zurück.
Dabei müssen Sie die Reibung der Aussteller überwinden.
2. Drehen Sie alle Fenstergriffe um 90°.
✔Die Fenstergriffe werden verriegelt.
3. In der geschlossenen Position muss der äußere Nocken des Fenstergriffs im Rah-
men positioniert sein.
HINWEIS
Falls die PE-Schutzfolie zu lange dem Sonnenlicht ausgesetzt war, kann
sie nicht mehr rückstandsfrei abgelöst werden.

7.3 Dauerbelüftung

7.4 Rollos verwenden
Rollo schließen

➤Ziehen Sie das Rollo und das Insektenschutzgitter an der Griffleiste in die
gewünschte Position (Abb. c).
✔Das Rollo bleibt in der geschlossenen Position.
Rollo öffnen
➤Ziehen Sie das Rollo und das Insektenschutzgitter an der Griffleiste in die
gewünschte offene Position.
✔Die Griffleiste bleibt in jeder Position stehen.
7.5 Innenrahmen demontieren
Sie können den Innenrahmen demontieren, falls Sie die Spannung des Rollos neu
einstellen oder dieses austauschen müssen.
➤Gehen Sie zur Demontage des Innenrahmens wie gezeigt vor (Abb. d).
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
Schließen Sie das Verdunklungsrollo bei starker Sonneneinstrahlung nur
zu zwei Dritteln, um eine Wärmeentwicklung zwischen Rollo und Fens-
ter zu vermeiden.

➤Reinigen Sie die Rollos mit milder Seifenlauge und Wasser.
➤Reinigen Sie das Plissee-Rollo mit einem feuchten Tuch oder einem Staubtuch.
➤Halten Sie das Plissee-Rollo nicht über einen längeren Zeitraum geschlossen, um
Materialermüdung zu vermeiden.
➤Pflegen Sie die Gummidichtungen mit Talkum.
9 Garantie
Es gilt die gesetzliche Gewährleistungsfrist. Sollte das Produkt defekt sein, wenden
Sie sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler oder die Niederlassung des Herstellers in Ihrem
Land (siehe dometic.com/dealer).
Bitte senden Sie bei einem Reparatur- bzw. Gewährleistungsantrag folgende Unter-
lagen mit dem Produkt ein:
• eine Kopie der Rechnung mit Kaufdatum
• einen Reklamationsgrund oder eine Fehlerbeschreibung
Bitte beachten Sie, dass eigenständig oder nicht fachgerecht durchgeführte Repara-
turen die Sicherheit gefährden und zum Erlöschen der Garantie führen können.
10 Entsorgung
Recycling von Verpackungsmaterial
ACHTUNG! Beschädigungsgefahr
Keine scharfen oder harten Mittel zur Reinigung verwenden, da dies zu
einer Beschädigung des Acrylglases führen kann. Verwenden Sie insbe-
sondere keine alkoholhaltigen Reinigungsmittel.
Verwenden Sie ausschließlich die vom Hersteller empfohlenen Reini-
gungsmittel: Acrylglas-Reinigungsmittel (Art.-Nr. 9600000129) oder
