This product is designed to be operated by adults. Children should not be allowed to tamper with the
controls or play with the product.
Any electrical work required to install this appliance should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
This product should be serviced by an authorised Service Engineer and only genuine spare parts
should be used.
It is dangerous to alter the specifications or modify this product in any way.
Care must be taken to ensure that the appliance does not stand on the electrical supply cable.
There are working parts in this product which heat up. Always ensure that there is adequate
ventilation as a failure to do this will result in component failure and possible content loss. See
installation instructions.
Parts which heat up should not be exposed. Wherever possible the back of the product should be
close to a wall but leaving the required distance for ventilation as stated in the installation
instructions.
Before defrosting cleaning or maintenance work is carried out be sure to switch off the appliance
and unplug it.
DO NOT USE SHARP INSTRUMENTS to scrape off frost or ice. Under no circumstances should solid
ice be forced off the cooling fins. Solid ice should be allowed to thaw when defrosting the appliance.

This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken when moving it.
Under no circumstances should you attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Repairs carried out by
inexperienced persons may cause injury or more serious malfunctioning. Refer to your local Service
Centre and always insist on genuine spare parts.

1. Unpacking
After removal from the card oard packaging, make sure the appliance
is not damaged. If you find damage to the appliance resulting from
transport, report it immediately to the transportation firm.

3. Cleaning
Clean the refrigerator thoroughly at intervals, as necessary.
Remove the shelves; these, the ca inet interior and the door
should e washed with a warm solution of sodium i-
car onate. Finally wipe over with a cloth rinsed in warm water only,
and dry with a clean cloth. Do not wash any plastic parts in water that
is more than hand warm, and do not expose them to dry heat. The
outside of the ca inet should e wiped down regularly with a clean,
damp cloth.
NEVER USE STRONG CHEMICALS OR ABRASIVE CLEANING
MATERIALS ON ANY PART OF THE CABINET.
4. Positioning the appliance
When first using this refrigerator please consider the following points:
ENSURE REFRIGERATOR IS LEVEL
THE PIPEWORK AT THE BACK GETS HOT IN USE
THE REFRIGERATOR HAS NO 'MOTOR' AND IS THEREFORE
VIRTUALLY SILENT
ALLOW AT LEAST 3 HRS. FOR SIGNS OF COOLING
During the refrigeration process, the appliance gives off heat
from the condenser (under the upper part of the rear cover)
into the surrounding air. The more ventilated the condenser is,
the more effective the refrigeration will e.
The other condition for satisfactory operation is that the appliance
stands on a flat surface. This is est seen y placing a glass of
water on top of the appliance.
It is important that the appliance is not directly exposed to radiated
heat (sunlight, radiator, near an oven, etc.).
4.1. Installation instructions
The refrigerator is equipped with an electrically heated a sorption
cooling unit which is virtually silent in operation. The fridge is designed
for free-standing installation, ut can e uilt-in if the following
conditions are complied with to ensure satisfactory operation and
maximum cooling efficiency.
IMPORTANT
Please follow the installation details below carefully Guarantee
is valid for products installed as described only.
1. The refrigerator must be level both directions
2. There should be 20mm clearance to the wall
3. Ventilation must be provided as shown in alternatives A B C
or D (fig 2-3)
4. The ventilation duct must at least measure 105mm x the
width of the refrigerator
5. Only the entire cooling unit must project into the duct as
shown
6. Air passing through the duct must not be preheated by any
source of heat
7. Ventilation grills if used must have openings of at least
200cm2 each
During installation please ensure the mains plug is accessible
at all times.
5. Using the appliance
To start the refrigerator connect the plug to the socket outlet and
switch on the socket. The cooling fins should show signs of cooling
after a out 3 hours.
The refrigerator needs a out 6 hours at normal am ient temperature
to reach 6 °C in the storage compartment.
5.1. Temperature regulation
The usual setting required is in middle of the setting range on the
thermostat kno (Fig. 4), ut this can vary with conditions of load and
installation. If it is found necessary to alter the setting,the kno can e
turned to a higher num er to produce a colder temperature, or a lower
num er to produce a warmer temperature. The effect of any
adjustment can e checked y means of a thermometer after leaving
the refrigerator operating for a further period to settle down again.

6. Ice cubes
Fill the ice tray to 4/5 with drinking water, and place the ice tray on the
ice-tray shelf. Wipe off any excess water to prevent the ice tray from
freezing to the surface.
To speed up the making of ice cu es, turn the thermostat to position
MAX for a short while. Remem er to turn the dial to its normal setting
when the ice cu es are frozen.
To remove the cu es from the ice tray, hold it under running water. The
ice cu es can now e taken out easily.
7. Useful suggestion
Do not overfill the appliance. It is advisa le to leave some space
etween the products in the ca inet to ensure efficient and even
cooling. If the shelves are packed too tightly there may e
unaccepta le temperature variations.
8. Defrosting cleaning and
maintenance
Frost will gradually form on the cooling surfaces and it must not e
allowed to ecome too thick since it acts as an insulator and interferes
with the cooling.
This frost-formation is kept ack y the FUZZY LOGIC system uilt into
the appliance y switching off the unit for two hours in every 24 hours.
The frost will melt and the defrost water will run through the drain tu e
from the drip channel into an evaporating vessel located at the ottom
rear of the refrigerator at all models. (Fig 5) The defrost water will
evaporate automatically into the circulating air and the vessel will not
need emptying manually.
If we want to switch off the unit, turn the thermostat kno to "0",
disconnect the refrigerator from the electricity supply and leave the
ca inet door open. After defrosting the ca inet interior should e
wiped out with a clean, damp cloth.
In the case of increased air humidity, frost may form on the cooling
ri s. Should the frost layer attain a thickness of approximately 3 mm,
the refrigerator must e defrosted to avoid impairing the performance
level. Even if this is not the case, the (**) freezer compartment must e
defrosted on a regular asis following heavy ice formation every 2-3
months. This is carried out as follows:
Set the thermostat at 0, disconnect at the mains, remove food
and ice dish and leave the doors open. Do not expose the
refrigerator to external heat and do not attempt to scratch away the
frost with sharp o jects.
The drained water runs in a groove and from there continues along
a pipe through the refrigerator's rear panel and into a collection
container on the cooling unit, where the water evaporates y itself
(fig 5). Should the frost layer ecome very thick, there is a danger
of the collection asin overflowing. In this case the water should
e a sor ed y a cloth placed under the ri s. The water in the
freezer compartment should also e a sor ed y a cloth.
Following defrosting, the refrigerator should e wiped dry with a
cloth, reconnected and the food returned. However, you should
wait until the following day efore freezing ice cu es.
9. Changing the lightbulb (If availa le)
If the light ul needs changing, pull out the plug and proceed as
follows:
Press the metal reflector to one side and draw the lamp covering
ackwards. Replace the ul and push the covering ack into
place.
A new max. 10-watt ul can e o tained at any service shop.
10. Reversing the door hang (Fig. 6)
The direction the door opens can e transferred from one side to
the other y carrying out the following steps:
disconnect at the mains
lay the refrigerator down carefully on its ack
remove the lower hinge and detach the door
remove the two upper left-hand screws and detach the
covering plate y pulling it forward
detach the upper hinge and mount it on the opposite side
remove the hinge olt and screw it in from elow
insert the covering plate in the upper right-hand corner y
pushing it in and secure it with the two screws
position the door on the upper hinge olt and mount the lower
hinge
ensure the door can move freely and the seal is correctly
positioned.
11. Replacing the decorative door
panel (Fig. 7-9)
Remove the two screws (1) from the upper hinge of the door.

Pull the door together with the hinge away from the housing and up off
the lower hinge olt (2-3).
Remove screws (4) and pull off the frame edge (5).
Slide the decorative panel (6) out of the door frame and insert the new
panel (7), so that the upper edge of the panel runs exactly parallel to
the upper edge of the frame. A new panel can e inserted more easily
into the upper edge of the frame when the two corners are cut off y
approx. 5 x 5mm (8). Put the frame edge (5) ack in place and secure
with screws.
Place the door on the lower hinge (9), slot the upper hinge into the
opening, press together with the door against the housing and secure
with the two screws (11).
12. Changing the feet (Fig. 10)
Should you wish to install your miniCool, you will not need the 40-mm
feet. After having removed the 40-mm feet, you can then re-attach the
12-mm feet, located inside the 40-mm feet, to the front and rear fixing
points. The 40-mm feet and the 4 remaining screws should e
retained for future use.
13. Assembly of door handle (Fig. 11)
14. Customer service
Before you call a service engineer, carry out the following simple
tests:
Is there a power failure? Check the fuses.
Is the plug firmly connected to the socket and is the socket
switched on? Check the socket y plugging in another appliance,
e.g. a ta le lamp.
Is the thermostat at the correct setting? (normally 3 or 4).
Has the door not een closed properly causing the inside
temperature to rise too quickly?
Is the refrigerator level?
Has the ventilation ecome o structed?
If after checking all the a ove points, the refrigerator is still not working
satisfactorily, contact your nearest service engineer. State the
pro lem, model, product- and serial-num er.
(Details of the model, product- and serialnum er are to e found on
the data la el in the top left of the inside compartment.)
This refrigerator is equipped with overheating protection. An
authorised service technician can check whether this has been
triggered or not.

Centre-see local telephone directory.

15. Putting into operation
Technical data:
15.1 Connecting to electrical mains
The appliance may only e operated from nominal voltage
mains as shown on the data plate. The appliance mains plug
may e connected to a mains socket earthed in accordance
with regulations.
Any electrical work required to install this appliance should e carried
out y a qualified electrician or competent person.
The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety
measures not be observed.
Electrical Requirements
Before switching on, make sure the electricity supply voltage is the
same as that indicated on the appliance rating plate.

16. Environmental protection
information
The appliance does not contain any CFCs/HCFCs.
Ammonia (natural hydrogen and nitrogen compound) is used as a
refrigerating agent in the refrigeration unit.
The ozone-friendly cyclopentane is activated as a motive agent for the
PU foam insulation.
Sodium chromate is used for corrosion protection (less than 2 weight
% of the coolant).
17. Recycling
After unpacking the appliance, the packing materials should e
delivered to a local collection site. At the end of its useful lifetime, the
appliance should e delivered to a specialized collection and
reprocessing firm, which reclaims the usa le materials. The rest is
properly destroyed.
