PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
！CAUTION
- Do not use any +5volt power adaptor on the bus board because
this unit provides a +5volt source.
Connecting such a power adaptor would damage this unit.
- If you wish to install a module fitted with a 10-pin connector,
use a 10 pin to 16 pin Eurorack power cable.
- In compliance with the Eurorack standard, the 16-pin headers on
this unit have -12V assigned to their #1 pin. Prior to making any
connection, make sure that each module you intend to use with
this unit has the same pin assignment.
- Use this unit exclusively indoors, making sure the environment of
use has an ambient temperature between 0ºC and 35ºC,
and a relative humidity below 85%.
Use this product by following all safety precautions in this owner's manual.
This product has a circuit protection feature intended to protect
the unit in case of overvoltage and short-circuit under normal
conditions of use as described in this manual.
However, due to several factors, we cannot guarantee that this
feature will effectively protect the unit in all cases.
- To avoid damaging the unit and guarantee a safe use,
use exclusively the supplied AC adaptor.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Heed all precautions for your own safety!
！CAUTION
！WARNING
Keep this unit as well as its AC adaptor away from rain and any
damp/wet environment. If any liquid get splashed onto or gets
inside this unit or its AC adaptor, this can cause a malfunction
and poses a risk of electric shock.
If this unit shows any signs of abnormal behavior such as the
symptoms listed below, immediately disconnect the AC adaptor
from the mains and get in touch with the dealer where you
bought this unit:
・Smoke, sparks or a strange smell come out of this unit or its
AC adaptor.
・Some or all of the POWERBASEʼs status indicators are
blinking or off.
・The AC adaptor's cord is cracked or shows any other signs of
damage.
・The AC adaptor's body is damaged and fails to deliver
stable power.
Do not do any modification to this unit as it will void our
warranty and also poses a risk to your safety.

NAME & FUNCTION
ACable hook:
Pass the AC adaptor's DC cable through this
hook to prevent accidental disconnection.
ＧOutput header:
This 16-pin header can deliver the power
to your modules by flying cable or
equivarents.
Note: The #1pin of header is -12Volt.
When connecting a module fitted
with less than 16 pins, make sure to
connect the module's plug's #1 pin
to the #1 pin on the header.
ＥScrew hole:
Install this unit to mounting rails of the
case by suitable screws via these holes.
DStatus indicators:
Indicate the power supply status.
Those indicators are lit under normal
power supply conditions.
BDC15V input:
Connect the AC adaptor's DC cable
end plug here.
CPower switch:
Flip it to the "ON" position to power
on the unit.
Note: Also this unit can deliver the power to
your modules by using both output
connector and output header.
If you choose that, we recommend
total power consumption of loading
modules is 30Watts or less.

USAGE EXAMPLE
１．Using with ”POWERRAIL” bus board.
２．Using with other maker’s bus board.
３．Using with “FLYING CABLE” or equivalent.
This is a recommended configuration.
Connect a “POWERRAIL” bus board by the dedicated wiring
harness to 5-pin output connector.
4．Using with both “POWERRAIL” and other maker's bus board.
Connect other maker's bus board by 16-pin ribbon cable or
equivalent to 16-pin output header.
Connect “FLYING CABLE” or equivalent to 16-pin output header.
“FLYING CABLE” is a 16-pin ribbon cable which has multiple
headers. That looks like a bus board.
Connect a “POWERRAIL” bus board by the dedicated wiring
harness to 5-pin output connector.
And connect other maker's bus board by 16-pin ribbon cable
or equivalent to 16-pin output header.
Note: This unit can deliver the power to your modules by using both
5-pin output connector and 16-pin output header.
If you choose that, we recommend total power consumption of
loading modules is 30Watts or less.
Note: Should be use a passive type bus board in this case.
If you desire to use an active type bus board which has power
conversion circuit on that board, you should be cut the etching
pattern of that circuit's power output line.
Note: If you got a damage when you used other maker's bus board or
“FLYING CABLE” or such a ribbon cable, that's at your own risk.
So we don't have the guaranty.

ENVIRONMENT OF USE & CLEANING
Read this section prior to using this unit.
- Avoid exposure to moisture and direct sunlight.
Make sure to use this unit within an ambient
temperature between 0ºC to 35ºC and with a
relative humidity of <85%.
- The supplied AC adaptor is exclusively designed for
indoor use. Never use it outdoors, as its safe and
correct operation cannot be guaranteed.
- Use only this product outdoors in a proper and
electrically safe performance environment
(such as on a festival stage, etc.).
- Use only a clean soft cloth if you need to clean this
unit. Do not use any solvent-based cleaning agents
as this may damage the unit's finish.
To remove stubborn dirt, slightly damp a soft cloth
with water.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If this unit does not seem to work properly and shows some of
the symptoms described here below, make sure each installed
module works correctly before sending the unit in for repair.
Symptoms
Causes
- One of the modules installed in the unit does not work properly.
- The current fed to the modules is overloading.
- One module's cable is shorted.
- One module's connector is not connected properly to the header.
- The AC adaptor doesn't work properly.
- When powering on the unit, the status indicators do not light up.
At first, make sure the direction of connection between plug
and header on bus board for each modules. There is able to
find the difference the direction for connection in rare.
If the trouble cannot be solved by removing modules, and you
determine that this unit needs repair, contact us at:

Write down a short description of the problem and the
conditions when it first occurred.
- When powering on the unit, the status indicators’ luminosity is lower
than usual.

1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
LIMITED WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This Limited Warranty applies only to DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS products purchased at the
our web shop. The warranty policy and service is determined by our original way.
DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS warrants to the first owner of a covered product purchased from
DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS web shop that this product will be free from defects in materials
and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of purchase.

to establish the date of purchase (THIS IS NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR WARRANTY SERVICE
BUT HIGHLY ADVISED). Besides your full name and address, please mention the date and
purchase location of your product.
To exercise your rights under this Warranty as the first owner/purchaser, YOU MUST SHIP
THIS PRODUCT IN ITS ORIGINAL PACKAGING at your expense, with Warranty Card and the

An RAN (Return Authorization Number) from DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS must be obtained
first before returning any product.
- Email us your RAN request to “contac[email protected]om”.
Products shipped to DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS without an RAN will be refused to receive it,
so that returned. Shipping insurance is optional, but highly recommended. DOTRED AUDIO
DESIGNS will repair or replace this product at its sole option and at no charge to you for parts
and labor—when deemed necessary and within the warranty period — provided that
DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS reserves the right to determine whether the product is “defective”
for purposes of this Limited Warranty. This Warranty does not apply if damage to this product
occurs as a result of abuse or misuse, failure to follow instructions according to its Owner’s
Manual, abnormal use or handling, improper packaging, another product’s interaction,
exposure to temperature extremes, or if the product has been altered or modified/
customized in any way, or the damage was caused by unauthorized repair or service.
The original product must return to DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS unaltered.
IN NO EVENT SHALL DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS CO., LTD BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT,
INCIDENTAL, COLLATERAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, CONSEQUENTIAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES
OR LOSSES ARISING OUT OF YOUR PURCHASE OF PRODUCTS AND/OR OUT OF THIS WARRANTY,
INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF USE, PROFITS, GOODWILL OR SAVINGS OR LOSS
OF DATA, MUSIC, ELECTRONIC FILES, OR PREFERENCES THAT MAY HAVE BEEN STORED BY A
USER OF THE PRODUCT, EVEN IF DOTRED AUDIO DESIGNS HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR CLAIMS. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION
OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE
LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
This Limited Warranty and the right of replacement is in lieu of any and all other warranties—
which you hereby waive—and it gives purchasers specific legal rights.
