1. Scope
When a program change is made, the P.C.B. locate pin / P.C.B.
locate lever can be adjusted automatically, shortening the machine
setup time.

4. Precautionary Measures for Setup Operation
•When each device is zeroed to its origin, the P.C.B. locate lever width
becomes the P.C.B. size (18.248 inches (463.5 mm)). Check that the
P.C.B. locate lever does not touch anything when it is widened to the
maximum extent.
•Check that there is no P.C.B. on the X/Y table.
•Check that there is no P.C.B. support pin on the X/Y table.

5. Items to be Checked before Setup Operation
•Before zeroing or set-up operation, check that there is no obstacle
(structure) on the backup base of the X/Y table.
•Especially when a support pin or a jig P.C.B. is located in the range of
approx. 0.7874 inches (20 mm) away from the fixed chute, it hinders
the setup operation, causing an error.
•When each device is zeroed to its origin, the P.C.B. locate pin and the
P.C.B. locate lever move toward the direction of the maximum P.C.B.
size.

6. Setup Operation
*1 Setup Data
Set whether or not the setup data for each device is set. Select
"Enable" or "Disable" for each device.
When the setup operation is performed for the P.C.B.
locate pin, be sure to enter a parameter in the " Width
[mm]" data box of the label "P.C.B. locate lever" in ac-
cordance with the selected positioning method "Hole" or
"Outline".
Unless a correct parameter is entered, the P.C.B. locate
pin cannot be positioned to have the correct width.
Reference Point: "Outline"
6. Setup Operation
6.1 Setting of Setup Parameters
When the [Setup Data] tab is pressed on the "Operation Data" tab
sheet, the following tab sheet appears.

When the [Product Change] tab is pressed at the "PROGRAM
CHANGE" submenu window, the following tab sheet appears.

6. Setup Operation
•Sheet Composition
*1 Devices
Device Name : The following names represent the items that can
be set up.
X/Y Table Chute Width
L Conveyor Width
R Conveyor Width
P.C.B. Support Pins Up/Down
P.C.B. Locate Lever
Overall Setup: ON or OFF appears in the text box.
Status : When the [ON] button (*6) is pressed, the setup
operation starts and the status of each device is
indicated.
"Ready" : The setup operation is completed and the
device is located at the position "P.C.B.
Size (Width) + Clearance''.
"Not Ready" : The devices are located at the position
"P.C.B. Width + Clearance" but the cur-
rent position is not under control.
'' -----'' : The current position or program is indefi-
nite.
'' -----'' (red) : ''Disable" is set for the setup data.
P.C.B. Size : Displayed are the P.C.B. sizes (widths) in the cur-
rent pattern program data.
When the current pattern program is indefinite,
''-----'' appears.
Location : The currently managed widths appear in the text
boxes.
"-----" appears when the current location is indefi-
nite or is not managed.
When a device is selected for the setup operation, the background
color of the line turns blue.
*2 Mode
A setup mode can be selected.
The background color of the selected button turns yellow.

*3 Clearance
This data is used to give some leeway to the chute and conveyor
widths.
The actual widths become ''P.C.B. Size (Width) + Clearance''.
*4 [Tgt Wd] Button
When this button is pressed, the "Tgt Wd" edit window opens.
Enter a numerical value and press the [Set] button. The entered
value is set as a target one.
*5 [PCB CIp (Y)] Button
When this button is pressed, the "PCB Clp (Y)" edit window opens.
Enter a numerical value and press the [Set] button. The entered
value is set as a value for Y clamping.
*6 Control Switch
When the [ON] button entitled "MOVE" is pressed, the setup
operation starts.
All Devices Overall Setup Operation
(1) Press the [AII Device Overall Setup] button (*2).
(2) Enter numerical values as clearance data (*3) for both chute and
conveyor widths and press the [Clearance Reset] button.
(3) Press the [ON] button in the "Control Switch" group box and then
the [ENABLE] button on the operation panel in two seconds. The
all device overall setup operation starts and the foIIowings are
indicated in the ''Status" text box (*1) of each device.
"Ready" : The setup operation is completed and the devices
are located at the position "P.C.B. Width + Clear-
ance".
"Not Ready" : The devices are located at the position "P.C.B.
Width + Clearance" but the current position is not
under control.
"-----" : The current position or program is indefinite.
"-----" (red) : "Disable" is set for the setup data.
When the current pattern program is indefinite, zeroing operation
is implemented and the automatic setup operation is performed
continuously.

6. Setup Operation
6.3 Overall Automatic Setup Function Interlocked with
Program Change
•When the [ON] button (entitled "MOVE") is pressed in the pattern
program change operation at the "AUTO OPN." window (submenu),
"Product Change" and "Pattern Program" windows, the machine
starts automatically setting up the width of all the units, for which
"ON" is set in the data boxes at the "Product Change" tab sheet,
interlocking with the pattern program change operation.
(a) When the current position is indefinite, zero each de-
vice to its origin and perform the automatic setup op-
eration continuously.
(b) When the [OPERATION] switch is set to the "SET UP"
side, the product change operation will not start.
Close the front safety door and set the switch to the
"RUN" side for safety purposes. Then, perform the
program change operation.
