2.Ethernet interface (RJ45 connector)
By using of the 5 categories or above 5 categories twisted pair cable to connect Ethernet, LSW5003
series Ethernet switch interfaces (10/100/1000M) adopt RJ45 connector and support MDI/MDIX
auto-negotiation. When you use the interfaces, please adopt 5 categories twisted pair cable and RJ45
connector to make network cable.
Figure1-4 RJ45 pinout diagram
3.Ethernet cable
Ethernet electric interface adopt 5 categories twisted pair cable to connect Ethernet, as shown in
Figure1-5.
Figure1-5 Ethernet cable diagram
For different usage, Ethernet twisted pair cables can be divided into straight-through and crossover
cables:
Standard cable: is also called straight-through cable. The sequences of the twisted pairs crimped in the
RJ-45 connectors at both ends are the same. It connects a terminal device (PC or router) to a HUB or
LAN Switch. A standard cable is provided for you along with the device.
Crossover cable: The sequences of the twisted pairs crimped in the RJ-45 connectors at both ends are
different. It connects a terminal device (PC or router) to another terminal device. You make crossover
cables by yourself.

2.Fiber connector
A fiber connector is a passive component that connects two or more fiber cable segments stably but not
permanently. Fiber connectors are indispensable to an optical communication system, making it
possible to connect and disconnect optical channels. Either convenient for user to debug and maintain
optical system, or allow user to adjust optical system more flexible.
Following are several fiber connector types:
LC: A compact optical connector developed by Lucent
SC: A square optical connector
FC: A round optical connector with screw threads
ST: A round plug-in optical connector
MT-RJ: A square optical transceiver
At present, Ethernet optical port on service board only support LC connector

Figure1-6 LC type connector appearance
Figure1-7 SC connector appearance
Note:
Using optical fiber to connect network device, make sure that the type of the optical fibre
connector should correspond to the optical module.
Before connecting optical fiber, make sure that local transmitter optical power isn’t beyond the
upper limit of the optical module. Otherwise it may damage optical module.
3.Ethernet optical interface fiber
For 1000M Ethernet optical interface, you can select single-mode or multi-mode optical fiber to
connect Ethernet and according to 1000M Small Form-factor Pluggable (1G SFP) to select optical fiber.
These kinds of SPF interfaces are LC fiber connector, requiring the optical fiber with LC optical fiber
connector. All optical modules support hot swapping. XFP optical module and LC optical fiber
connector are as shown in following figure.
