If the safety barrier is used at the
bottom of the stairs,
it should be positioned at the front of
the lowest tread possible.

Ensure the surface you are mount the gate is structurally
sound such as solid timber, brick or masonry. For plaster /
gyprock surface, locate the timber beam or stud behind
and mount in this location (mounting on plaster / gyprock
alone is not strong enough and not safe).
DO NOT MOUNT TO GLASS.
As eg úrese que la superficie sobre la que ubica la compuerta

1. Using adhesive tape, attach the mounting Template (G1) on the solid wood surface that you have chosen for the hinged side of the gate.
2. Repeat Step-1 for handle side using Template (G2). Make sure the mounting Templates (G1/G2) are in a straight vertical position.

NOTA:

NOTE:
If there is a skirting board (base board) to which the
gate is to be attached, build up the wall area where
top mounts are to be fitted using a piece of timber
of equal thickness. Alternatively remove the skirting
board (base board) prior to mounting gate.

7. Squeeze latch (A) in and lift gate.

Test the gate is securely installed by firmly shaking the top rail of gate.

8. Slide gate into Upper and Lower Latch Brackets (B)+(C)

securely in place.

TO OPEN GATE:
1. Squeeze the Latch (A) upward to unlock;
2. Lift gate & Slide in the direction of the arrow to disengage from
the Upper Latch Bracket (B) and Lower Latch Bracket (C) ;
3. Swing gate open.
IMPORTANT:
The end of the bottom rail is slightly longer than the top rail.
Before attempting to swing the gate open, make sure the
bottom rail is disengaged.
PARA ABRIR LA PUERTA:
1. Aprieta el pestillo (A) hacia arriba para desbloquearlo;

1. Determine the direction you want to prevent the gate from swinging.
2. Attach the Swing Stop (H) to the top rail of gate behind
Hinge (D) using Screws (I).

The swing control mechanism MUST be used to prevent the gate from
swinging into a hazard such as over stairs or into a heavy traffic area.

• Gate must be fitted according to instructions, to ensure it
works correctly.
• Regularly check gate to ensure it is fitted properly and
securely. Adjust as required.
• Regularly check that brackets are securely in place.
• Do not use the safety gate if any components are
damaged or missing.
• To clean, wipe surface with a damp cloth. Never clean with
abrasive, ammonia based, bleach based or spirit type
cleaners.
• Any additional and replacement parts should be obtained
from Tee-Zed Products.
