Vor der Verwendung: -
Lesen Sie die Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch!
1. Überprüfen sie das Hebetuch auf Beschädigungen, bitte prüfen insbesondere die
Schlaufen und Nähte auf Risse und Fransen
2. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die beiden Kunststoffstäbe im Kopfbereich vorhanden sind.
3. Sollte das Hebetuch Mängel oder defekte aufweisen, dürfen Sie das Hebetuch nicht
benutzen!
Anleitung
Anlegen in liegender Position:
1. Drehen Sie den Patienten / Nutzer auf die Seite zu sich heran. Falten Sie das Hebetuch zur
Hälfte zusammen und legen Sie es hinter den Rücken des Patienten. Achten sie darauf, dass
sich das Unterteil des Ganzkörperhebetuch ca. 5-7 cm vor der Kniebeuge befindet (mit
Hygieneausschnitt , dieser muss sich am Gesäß bzw. Mitten des Körper befinden), drehen Sie
den Patienten nun auf die andere Seite, entfalten Sie das Hebetuch und ziehen Sie es glatt;
Achten sie darauf, dass sich der Patient mittig auf dem Hebetuch befindet!
2. Führen Sie die beiden farbigen Schlaufen der Unterseite durch die mittig angebrachte
Zentralschlaufe, achten Sie darauf, dass Sie jeweils dieselbe Farbe der Schlaufen verwenden.
Jetzt stellen sie den Patientlift vor das Bett und platzieren den Transportbügel mittig über dem
Patienten.
3. Nun befestigen Sie die Schulter- und Beinschlaufen( jeweils dieselbe Farbe verwenden) am
Transportbügel, achten Sie darauf, dass Sie die Schlaufen ohne mühen am Transportbügel
einhängen können. Bitte kontrollieren Sie vor Anheben des Patienten, dass Sie das Hebetuch
ordnungsgemäß angebracht haben. Fahren Sie den Hebearm des Patientenlifts soweit nach
oben, dass die Schlaufen leicht gespannt sind, nun kontrollieren Sie, dass Sie die Schlaufen
faltenfrei und das Hebetuch sicher am Transportbügel befestigt haben.
4. Nun kann der Patient angehoben werden. Um das Hebetuch nach einem Transfer zu
entfernen, führen Sie die Punkte 1 bis 3 in umgekehrter Reihenfolge aus.

**” Um das passende und notwendige Hebetuch zu definieren, muss eine Risikobewertung von einer
kompetenten Fachkraft durchgeführt werden."
(Reference: LOLER 1998/PUWER 1998),
Größe und Variante von Hebetüchern kann von Hersteller zu Hersteller verschieden sein. Es gibt jedoch
keine Hinweise darauf, dass Hebetücher und Patientenlift unterschiedlicher Hersteller nicht
miteinander kombiniert werden können. Dies setzt voraus, dass die Haken am Transportbügel die
Schlaufen oder Clips aufnehmen können. Dafür muss eine Risikobewertung durch eine kompetente
Fachkraft durchgeführt und dokumentiert werden.
Reinigung/ Desinfektion:
•Das Hebetuch kann in der Waschmaschine bei max. 85° oder von Hand mit einem haushalts-
üblichen Waschmittel gewaschen werden.
•Wenn möglich nicht im Trockner trocknen.
•Bei maschineller Reinigung und Desinfektion ist ein validiertes, automatisches Verfahren nach
RKI oder VAH empfohlen.
•Pflegehinweis: Keine Hypochlorid Reiniger verwenden!
BEACHTEN: Um Schäden beim Waschen an Produktne mit Klettverschluss zu vermeiden,
stellen Sie sicher, dass der Klettverschluss geschlossen ist.
Das maximale Nutzergewicht und die Seriennummer befinden sich auf dem Produktetikett,
dieses ist auf der Rückseite des Hebetuchs eingenäht.
Anwendungsbereich:
Die Hebetücher besitzen keinerlei elektronische Komponenten.
Die Hebetücher dürfen ausschließlich nur als Zubehör in derselben Anwendungsumgebung
wie Mobile Patientenlift und / oder Deckenlift verwendet werden.
Angewandte Standards und Normen
Folgende Standards/Normen wurden herangezogen:
•BS EN ISO 10535 – Hoists for the transfer of disabled persons – Requirements
and Test Methods
•LOLER - Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations” (LOLER 5 Dec 1998)
Um die Sicherheit des Patienten und des Pflegepersonals zu gewährleisten muss vor
jeder Verwendung des Hebetuchs eine vollständige Kontrolle durchgeführt werden,
um sicherzustellen, dass das richtige Hebetuch und die richtige Positionierungs-
methoden eingesetzt werden. Vor jedem Gebrauch muss das Hebetuch auf
Beschädigungen überprüft werden, insbesondere auf eingerissene, zerrissene und /
oder ausgefranste Nähte und auf Materialbeschädigungen.
Bitte reparieren Sie beschädigte Hebetücher nicht, sondern entsorgen Sie diese unverzüglich!
Lassen Sie einen Patienten niemals unbeaufsichtigt in einem mobilen Patienten- und / oder
Deckenlift. Entfernen Sie das Hebetuch bei Nicht Nutzung vom mobilen Patienten-
und / oder Deckenlift. Achten Sie drauf, dass das Hebetuch nicht zweckentfremdet wird!

Kontraindikation
Es gibt keine Kontraindikationen im Zusammenhang mit der Verwendung des Hebetuchs.
Das Hebetuch wird nur vorübergehend / kurzfristig verwendet und kommt nicht oder nur
für eine sehr kurze Zeit (maximal 5 bis 10 Minuten) mit der unbedeckten Haut in Kontakt.
Das Hebetuch ist kein aktives und nicht invasives Hilfsmittel
Warnung
Wie bei allen medizinsiche Hilfmsitteln, muss vor jedem Einsatz die Gebrauchsanweisung
sorgfältig gelesen und verstanden werden.
Vorgesehene Verwendung
Dies ergibt sich aus den Informationen der Gebrauchsanweisung .
Produktlebenszyklus
Für eine fachgerechte Entsorgung wenden Sie sich bitte an ihr örtliches
Entsorgungsunternehmen.
Vollständig recycelbare Komponenten:
•Kunststoffklammern und Formteile
•Erstverpackung des Geräts (Karton / Polyethylen)
Komponenten die nicht recycelbar sind:
•Hebetuchmaterial - dies ist derzeit nicht recycelbar
Kontaminationskontrolle - Rückgabe des Produkts
Sollte es erforderlich sein, dieses Produkt zurückzugeben, muss es in einem
sauberen Zustand sein. Die Rückgabe von „kontaminierten“ Produkten gefährdet
die Gesundheit von Personen, die an dem Rückgabeprozess beteiligt sind,
sowohl das Liefer- als auch das Herstellungspersonal.
Kompatibilität der Hebetücher
Obwohl wir die Verwendung der Hebetücher für die von Drive DeVilbiss
hergestellten Patientenlift empfehlen, gibt es keinen Grund anzunehmen, dass die
Hebetücher nicht mit anderen Patientenlift auf dem Gebiet kompatibel sind.
Wir empfehlen jedoch, dass Sie eine vollständige Risikobewertung der
Kompatibilität durchführen oder nutzen Sie unsere Kompatibilitätserklärung auf

Nutzung Patientlift
Informationen zur richtigen Nutzung des Patientenlift mit dem Hebetuch,
finden Sie in der Bedienunsganleitung des mobilen Patienten- und /oder Deckenlifts.
Lagerung
Das Produkt sollte zur kurzfristigen Lagerung zwischen den Anwendungen vorzugsweise in
belüfteten Schränken gelagert werden. Stellen Sie sicher, dass eine Beschädigung oder
dauernde Belastung während dieser Zeit ausgeschlossen ist. Bei längerer Lagerung sollte das
Produkt sauber, trocken und in Folie verpackt in einem Karton gelagert werden.
Verwenden Sie für die Lagerung die Original-Verpackung, um das Produkt vor Staub zu
schützen. Produkte mit Klettverschlüssen sollten, zum Schutz der Materialien, nur mit
geschlossenen Klettverschluss gelagert werden.

Prior to use: -
Ensure you are aware of the hoist manufacturer’s fitting instructions
1. Inspect the sling for wear and damage, with particular attention being paid to the
body of the sling, webbings and stitch lines.
2. Ensure the 2 head supports are correctly in place.
3. If following inspection, there is any doubt, (points 1-3) the sling should be placed
aside and not used.
User Instruction
How to fit from a lying position
1. Using good manual handling techniques roll the person towards you so that they are
positioned on their side. To introduce the sling, ensure that the handles are on the
outside of the sling and roll half of the sling up under itself so that when the person
is rolled onto their opposite side, the sling can be unrolled until it is flat. Tuck the
rolled up side against the back of the patient’s body ensure that the bottom of the
sling is 2”- 3” above the knee joint and the aperture is central to the body, then
carefully roll the patient on to the sling far enough so that the sling can be fully
unrolled and the patient laid flat and central on the sling
2. Pass the leg webbing through one of the loops which are located in the central leg
funnel and then up to the carry bar on the hoist. Ensuring that the same loop is used
on both webbings then attach the shoulder webbings, again making sure that the
same loop is used on both webbings. The fitting of the sling is now complete.
3. The four straps should now be attached to the carry bar hooks. Raise
the carry bar just enough to tension the straps and ensure that they are
still securely attached. The person can now be lifted as required. To
remove the sling, carry out the fitting procedure in reverse. Important –
always peel the sling away from the person – this avoids skin friction.

**“Providing that a thorough written risk assessment is conducted by a competent
assessor” (Reference: LOLER 1998/PUWER 1998), interchangeable slings can provide the
right solution for a patient’s clinical requirements.
Sling Sizes and coding often varies greatly between manufacturers. However, there is no
evidence to suggest that slings and hoists can’t be “appropriately matched” with other
manufacturer’s designs. That is providing that the
clip or loop applications are applied relevant to the male fitting and of course a risk
assessment is conducted by the clinician / carer beforehand
Washing Instructions:
• The sling can be machine or hand washed in a mild soap solution
• Temperatures up to 85’C with a final rinse.
• If tumble drying is necessary – use a low heat setting.
• DO NOT use any corrosive cleaning agents on the sling to clean
PLEASE NOTE: To avoid damage in laundering, please ensure any Velcro products
are closed prior to washing.
The safe working load and serial numbers are embroidered onto the slings centre tab – DO
NOT use this tab as a handle or for any lifting assistance.
Operating environment:
The slings are textile based and contain no electrical / electronic installed systems.
The slings are used, and can only be used, within the same working environment as
the mobile and ceiling hoists to which they are an accessory for use with.

For the safety of the patient and the carer, before using the sling, a full risk assessment
must be conducted to ensure that the correct sling choice, method of positioning in the sling
and procedure for transfer has been determined for the patient.
Check sling before each use, bleached, torn, cut, frayed or broken slings are unsafe and could
result in serious injury or death to the patient.
DESTROY AND DISCARD WORN SLINGS / DO NOT ALTER SLINGS
NEVER LEAVE A PATIENT UNATTENDED
PLEASE ENSURE THE SLING, IF LEFT CONNECTED TO THE HOIST SYSTEM IN USE, IS SECURED
TO THE SYSTEM WHEREBY ANY MINOR CANNOT INADVERTENTLY INJURE THEMSELVES.
PLEASE STORE THE SLING IN A RESPONSIBLE MANNER TO ENSURE IT HAS NO MEANS OF
BEING DAMAGED WHILST NOT IN USE OR HAS THE ABILITY TO BECOME A MEANS OF AN
INTRODUCTION OF RISK FOR UNINTENDED USERS SUCH AS MINORS PLAYING ON THE
SLING AND THE SYSTEM IT IS ATTACHED TO.
WHILST THE MEANS TO CHECK THE SLINGS ARE INDICATED, PLEASE ALSO ENSURE CHECKS
ARE MADE REGARDING THE CONNECTION METHOD TO THE CARRYBAR / HOIST SYSTEM.

Contra-indications
There are no contra indications associated with the use of the ranges of Slings
manufactured. The sling is transient in its use and only in contact with uncovered
skin for a very short period (5 to 10 minutes’ maximum), the sling is not an active
device and is non-invasive.
Cautions
There are no user medical cautions but as will all devices, the IFU should be read at all
times and the limitations of the device understood regarding the usability of the slings.
Intended use

Product end of life considerations – Disposal
Please observe the local laws on recycling and respect the current laws for disposal
within the community the device is being used within.
The relevant components utilised in the manufacture of the device that can be
recycled at the end of the device life are:
Fully recyclables:
• Plastic clips and mouldings
• Initial packaging of the device (Cardboard / Polythene)
Components that are not recyclable:
• Sling textile – this is currently not recyclable
Contamination control – Return of product
Should there be a requirement to return this product it needs to be in a clean
condition and should not be soiled. Return of “contaminated” product will put the
health of individuals who are involved with the return process, both delivery and
manufacturing staff, in jeopardy.
Sling Compatibility
Whilst we recommend the use of the sling with the range of hoists manufactured by
Prism Medical, there is no reason to assume the sling will not be compatible with
other devices in the field manufactured by different companies. However, we do
recommend you do a full risk assessment of the compatibility before using the sling
with another manufactured device. Alternatively, please call the number for
customer services indicated on this user manual for further information.
Connection to the hoist system
Please refer to the user manual of the selected hoist to ascertain the correct
connection method to use for the sling.
