INSTALLATION MANUAL
5.13 Setting the appliance
The appliance has to be set in such a way that it works correctly in combination with the concentric system. For
that purpose, a restrictor slide is placed and/or the air inlet guide is removed. The conditions for application with
wall terminal and roof terminal are stated in appendix 2, tables 4, 5 and 6.
This appliance is suitable for Powervent®. For more information, see the Powervent®.installation manual.
!Caution
If the appliance is connected to natural gas (G25/G25.3 only in the Netherlands), the primary aeration must be
changed by moving the adjustable slides (see section 5.13.3).
5.13.1 Restrictor slide (R)
The restrictor slide (R) is supplied separately. It is mounted as follows (see Appendix 3, Fig. 10):
Ø
Loosen the self-tapping screws (S) of the plate (T) at the top of the appliance by a few turns at the rear and remove
the self-tapping screws at the front.
Ø
Remove this plate.
Ø
Unscrew the 2 pre-mounted self-tapping screws (U) from the combustion chamber.
Ø
Place the restrictor slide (R) with the 2 self-tapping screws (U). The restrictor slide partly covers the hole of the
exhaust pipe. Do not tighten the self-tapping screws.
!Caution
When fastening, the arrow on the restrictor slide should point to the right.
Ø
Adjust the position of the restrictor slide (R) using situations B to D in appendix 2, table 6. The letter of the position
on the restrictor slide corresponds with the letter of the situation in table 6.
Ø
Make sure that the point of the triangle belonging to the position that you want and the centre of the self-tapping
screw are exactly aligned.
Ø
Tighten the 2 self-tapping screws (U).
Ø
Place back the plate (T) and fasten it with the self-tapping screws.
5.13.2 Air inlet guide (L)
The air inlet guides (L) are located to the left and right below the vermiculite plate.
When removing the air inlet guides, proceed as follows (see appendix 3, fig. 11):
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the plate (G) at the ignition and remove this plate from the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vermiculite plate (H) mounted at the rear of the appliance, tilt the rear of
this plate upwards, behind the standing burners, out of the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the plate (I) at the fire detection and remove this plate from the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vermiculite plates (J and K) that are mounted on the left and right side
of the appliance, lift these plates by approximately 1 centimetre and slide them under the standing burners out of
the appliance.
Ø
Remove the left and right air inlet guides and screw back the self-tapping screws (M) in the appliance.
Ø
Place plates G to K back in the appliance and fasten them with the self-tapping screws.
5.13.3 Adjustable slides (V) (for the Netherlands only)
!Caution
This section only applies to combined G20-G25.3 appliances, i.e. not for G31 appliances, for instance.
The adjustable slides (V) are located at the bottom of the burner. For adjustment to gas G25/G25.3, proceed as
follows (see appendix 3, fig. 12):
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the plate (G) at the ignition and remove this plate from the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vermiculite plate (H) mounted at the rear of the appliance. Tilt the rear
of this plate upwards, behind the burner, out of the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the plate (I) at the fire detection and remove this plate from the appliance.
Ø
Unscrew the self-tapping screws from the vermiculite plates (J and K) mounted in the left and right side of the
appliance. Lift these plates by approximately 1 centimetre and slide them out of the appliance from underneath
the standing burners.
Ø
Loosen the self-tapping screw (Q) of the adjustable slide (V) by a few turns.
Ø
Place the adjustable slide on the stop and re-fasten it with the self-tapping screws.
!Caution
This appliance has 3 adjustable slides, make sure all 3 slides are adjusted correctly.
Ø
Place plates G to K back in the appliance and fasten them with the self-tapping screws.
Ø
The G20 data no longer apply if the appliance is set to G25/G25.3. For that reason, you should place the supplied
sticker (see appendix 3, fig. 39) over the G20 data of the type plate.
!Caution
Gas G20 on a G25/G25.3 setting will result in poor combustion, leading to hazardous situations.
