1. AboutFamilyMusicConsoleAM8130
AM8130 isanideal,state-of-the-artfamilymusicconsole,whichnotonlyhasall basicfunctionsof
atraditionalhomeaudiosystem,butalsohasthefollowingfunctions. A.Timingfunction,which
presetsspecifictaskexecutedatcertaintime: Forexample,alertissettonotifyyouthatyou
shouldgetupon timeinthemorning;freshandpleasingbackground musiccanbelistenedtowhen
youarehomeafteradayofbusy work;fixed-timenewscanbelistenedto, justintheroominwhich
youarestayingwhilelisteningtothebackgroundmusic.All theseonlytakeseveralminutesto
presetinthesystemthatwill automaticallyexecuteaspreset. B.Differentmusicfordifferent
rooms: Forexample,duetothedifference ofinterestsinmusicbetweentheeldersand teenagers,
traditionaloperacanbelistenedintheroomoftheelders,popmusiccanbelistenedonintheroom
oftheteenagers,TVcanbewatchedinthelivingroom,and TVprogramscanbelistenedtointhe
kitchenorwashingroom.All thesecanberealizedasdesired. C.Talkfunction,throughwhich
youcangiveatalkwithotherroomsinanyroom: Forexample,bythisfunction,all familiescan
benotifiedthatdinnerisready,sothatthereisnoneedtocall everyoneineveryroomorspeak
loudly.
Inaddition,theoperationstatusoftheconsoleiscontrollableinaroom.Forexample,theprogram
playedbytheconsolecanbeselectedbyaroomcontroller,and thevolumeandtonefortheroom
canbecontrolled.
TheconsoleofthesystemintegrateswithMP3player,tuner,zonecontroller,timer,pre-and
post-amplifiers,andaccommodatesDVD,PC,TVand AUXaudioinputinterfaces,zone1and 2
lineoutputinterfaces,andzone3interface (forcontrollerofall rooms),whichfacilitatesthe
operationbyinteractivecontrolbetweentheuserand theconsole.

1.StatusuponTurningontheConsole
Connectthesystemaccordingtothewiringdiagramand turnonthepowersupply,andthepower
indicatorwill turnon.Ifnozoneisturnedonaftertheconsoleisturnedon,thesystemwill bein
standbystatusandthedisplaywill showthestandbyinterface (asshowninFig.1-1),whereifthe
digitalwheelisturnedorazoneorsourcekeyispresseddown,thecorrespondingoperation
interface ortheoneasshowninFig. 1-2 will beaccessed.

2.ManualOperationofaZone
Operationofazoneincludescontrolofazoneswitch,selectionofanaudiosource,andadjustment
ofvolumeandtone. Procedureofoperationisasfollows:
ØAccess tozoneoperationinterface:Selectazonebyturningthedigitalwheelwhenthemain
interface isshown(asshowninFig.2-1),and thenpress downthedigitalwheeloncetoaccess
thezonecontrolinterface (asshowninFig.2-2)whereabove-mentionedsetting canbe
performed.
ØSelectionofanaudiosource:Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlight(i.e.theitemishighlightedby
thecursor) thecontentin theboxfollowingthe Program”and pressdownthewheelonce, and
aicon will beshown.Turnthewheelagaintoshowupto6audiosourcessuccessively.In
casethatthesource desiredishighlighted,stopturningthewheel,andpress downthewheel
againtoassignthehighlightedsourcetothezone.
ØAdjustmentofvolume:Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthecontentinthebox followingthe
Volume”,andpress downthewheelonce.Turnthewheelclockwiseorcounterclockwiseto
movethesliderleftwardsorrightwardsforadjustmentofzonevolume.Thebass andtreblecan
beadjustedinthesameway.
ØToendtheoperationabove,turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthe OK”button,andpress it
oncetoapplyandexit.

3.1 Modeselection
ThisoptionisusedtosettheplaymodeofMP3player,including All”, Single”and Repeat
single”.All musicfilesstoredintheplayerwill beplayedsuccessivelyinthe All”mode,onlythe
trackcurrentlyselectedwillbeplayedinthe Single”mode,andonlythetrackcurrentlyselected
will berepeatedinthe Repeatsingle”mode.
Operationofsetting:Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthecontentintheboxfollowingthe Mode”,
and thenpress downthewheeltoshowtheicon.Turnthewheeltoselect,andpress it againto
applyandexit.
3.2 Timedisplay
Asshownin Fig. 3-1, theprecedingtime00:00 istheplay timeelapsedofthetrackcurrentlyplayed,
and theonefollowingisthetotalplaytimeofthetrackcurrentlyplayed.
3.3 Trackselection
AsshowninFig.3-1, highlightthe 03 \01”box, press and turnthedigitalwheeltoselect.Digits
intheprecedingboxrefertothedirectory,e.g. 03”meansthatthe3rd directoryoftheUSBdiskis
selected.Digitsinthefollowingboxrefertothenumberofatrackinthedirectory.Thetrackname
isshownfollowing theseboxes.Incasethatthetext NoUSBdiskexists.PleaseconnectaUSB
disk.”isshownonthelowerpartofthedisplay,noUSBdiskisconnectedtotheUSBinterfaceor
anunidentifiableUSBdiskisconnected.Incasethatthetext AUSBdiskisconnected.Please
wait…” isshown,aUSBdiskisconnected,andtheconsolecanaccess thedisk.Incasethatno

stationandmono/stereocanbeset.
4.1 Bandselection
Press the BAND”keytoswitchbetweenAMandFMbands.Also,thiscanbeperformedbyaline
orIRremotecontroller. ThefrequencyrangeofAMbandis522–1620 kHz, and 87.00–108.00 MHz
forFMband.
4.2 Tuning
Press the ” or ”keyonthepanelselectastationstored. Turnthedigitalwheelfortuning
byfrequency.Turnthewheelclockwisetotunetoahigherfrequency,orturnit counterclockwiseto
tunetoalowerfrequency.Incasethatastationistunedinto,signalbarindicatorasshowninFig.
4-1 isshown. Morebarswill beshownifthesignalisstrong.
4.3 Storageofstation
Incasethatastationistunedinto,press the MEMO”keyincombinationwiththe ” or
” keytostorethestationasthestoragenumbersuccessivelyorrandomly.Upto40 station
numbersareavailable.Tostoreastation,press the MEMO”keyonce,andthestoragenumber
followingthe MEMO”optiononthedisplaywill flash. Press the ” or ” keytoadjustthe
number, andthenpress the MEMO”keyagaintostorethestation.
4.4 Mutemode
Press the ”keyonthepanel,and the ”icon willturnintothe ”icon(asshownin
Fig.4-2)indicatingthattheconsoleisinmutemode.Thepresettimerisexecutedatthescheduled
time. Press the ”keyagaintoexit fromthemutemode.
4.5 Calling a station

5.TimerProgramming
Press the TIMER”keyonthepaneltoaccess systemsettingstatus,and thedisplaywill showthe
Operationoptions”interface (asshowninFig.5-1inthenextpage),whereoptionsliketimer
setting, timesetting, IRteaching, copy schedule, and systemsettingcanbeselected.
5.1 Timersetting
Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthe Timersetting”option,andpress it againtoaccess thetimer
settinginterface (asshowninFig.5-1-1inthenextpage).Turnthewheeltoselectanoptioninthe
timersettinginterface foroperation.
5.1.1Weekdaysetting:
Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthe Weekday”option andpress it again,andaiconwill be
shown. Turnthewheeltoselectaweekday(e.g.Wed), and press it againtoapplyandexit.
5.1.2Newschedule:
Whentheweekdayinthe Weekday”optionissetasaweekday(e.g.Mon),all informationofthe
firstscheduleofthedaywill beshownintheotheroptionsoftheinterface.Incasethatother
optionsshowsnothing(asshowninFig.5-1-2)(Nextpage),no scheduleissetforthisday.To
createaschedule,selectthe New”optionand setotheroptionsofthenewschedule.Thenew
scheduleisalwaysassignedtothelastschedulenumberoftheday.However,schedulesare
executedaccordingtotheirsettime.
5.1.3Numbersetting:
Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthecontentintheboxfollowingthe No.”,and thenpress down
thewheelonce toshowtheicon. Turnthewheeltoselect, andpress it againtoapplyandexit.
5.1.4Powersetting:
Thisoptionisusedfortimingofpoweroutputsocketon therearpanel(asdescribedinitem17 in
page4),whichsuppliespowerAC220Vtootherdevices.Incasethatthepowersettingissetas
On”,powerissuppliedfromthesocketatthescheduledtime;incasethatit issetas Off”,no
powerissuppliedfromthesocketatthescheduledtime;incasethatit issetas …”,thedefault
setting(i.e. theprevioussetting)applies. Settingcanbedoneinthesamewayasthe No.”setting.
5.1.5Timesetting:
Thisoption isusedtosetthestartingtimeofaschedule,whichisaccuratetoasecondanduses
24-hoursystem. Settingcanbedoneinthesamewayasthe No.”setting.

access the MP3timersetting interface (asshowninFig.5-1-3),whereupto3trackscanbe
appliedtoaschedule.The 00/00”referstothetrackplayed,wherethefirsttwodigitsreferto
thedirectorywherethetrackis,andthelatertwodigitsrefertothenumberofthetrackinthe
directory.Ifthedirectoryissetas 00”,no directoryisselected.Ifthetracknumberissetas
00”,no trackisselected.
ØSelectionoftrack:Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlighttheboxshowingdigits,andthenpress
downthewheelonce toshowtheicon.Turnthewheeltoselectthedirectoryortrack
number, andpress it againtoapplyandexit.
ØSelectionofrepetition:Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthecontentintheboxfollowingthe
Repeat”,and thenpress downthewheeltoshowtheicon.Turnthewheeltoselect Off”,
Repeat”or Normal”.Thisoptionisusedtosettheplaymodeof3tracksplayedatthe
scheduledtime.
ØSelectthe OK”buttontoapplysettingandexit fromtheMP3 timersettinginterface.
MP3trackssetforeachscheduleareonlyavailableforthecorrespondingschedule.Whenthe
nextscheduleisexecuted,thesystemwill executethenextschedule,ofwhichsettingwill
overwritetheMP3settingofthepreviousschedule.If no MP3issetforthenextschedule,no
MP3 isplayedforthenextschedule.
5.1.7Tunertimersetting:
Turnthedigitalwheeltohighlightthe Tunersetting”option,andpress it oncetoaccess the Tuner
timersetting”interface (asshowninFig.5-1-4)(Nextpage),wherebandandstationcanbe
selected.
ØHighlightthecontentintheboxfollowingthe Band”,and thenpressdownthewheeltoshow
theicon.Turnthewheeltoselect, andpress it againtoapplyandexit. The Station”option
canbesetinthesameway.
Note:Selectthe “…” inthe “Band”optiontosetasdefaultsetting, orselectthe “Stop”tostop
thetuneratthescheduledtime.
