Electrical surges and spikes can occur countless times each day without you even
realising it, particularly when you are switching high-powered devices on and
off. If left unprotected, these surges and spikes can cause damage to electrical
equipment and devices.
Standard surge extension leads usually have only a red power light and nothing
else to indicate if the surge protection is active or not. However, with the Duronic
extension tower you can be sure at all times when the surge protection is active
because the surge protection light will light up green to indicate that the surge
protection is active across all of the sockets.

1. Insert the grooved end of the tower (1) into the square base (5) by matching
the grooves and slots together.
2. Position your tower unit in your desired location and within 2 metres of a
mains socket, ensuring that the cable is not pulled tight or overstretched.
Check that the cable is positioned in a safe place to avoid a trip hazard.
3. Plug the power cable into the mains socket.
4. Plug your electrical devices/appliances into the tower sockets, starting from
the bottom and going upwards with each addition. Make sure that the plugs
are distributed equally on both sides of the tower to keep it balanced and
avoid it tipping over.
5. When you are ready to use your devices/appliances, switch the tower on
at the mains socket. The red power light (3) will light up to indicate there
is power going into the tower. The green surge light should also light up to
indicate that the surge protection is active across all of the sockets on the
tower.
If your extension tower becomes dusty, unplug the tower, remove all of the plugs
from it and clean it using a dry cloth.
