REM- 080 REMOTE CONTROL
USER INSTRUCTIONS
Congratulations on having chosen the REM-080 PIN
protected remote control. In addition to protection
from code-grabbing via RF scanners, the REM-080
also protects against thieves stealing the remote
control and disarming your car security system
immobiliser.
Buttons “I” and “II” are used to control the functions
of the remote alarm or immobiliser. However no
codes will be transmitted until a correct PIN has been
entered via the 5 PIN buttons.
The PIN can be re-congured, allowing the user to
enter any one of 3125 codes (#1-#5, up to ve digits).
Each remote control is supplied from factory with a
single digit PIN for each channel of “1”.
STANDARD USAGE
(see over for example)
• Activate a REM-080 by entering it’s PIN (1).
The LED will light green each time a PIN digit is
entered. An incorrect PIN will cause the LED to
ash red quickly for 2 seconds.
• Momentarily press the button marked “I” or
“II” to activate the alarm/immobiliser. You may
continue momentarily pressing either button to
achieve your function. The LED will glow red as
long as the “I” or “II” buttons are pressed and a
code is transmitted.
• The remote control will timeout if left for more
than 5 seconds. After which a new PIN must be
entered to transmit again.
CHANGING PIN
(see over for example)
To alter the PIN of your REM-080 : -
1. Enter the old PIN.
2. Momentarily press the “I” button four times, then
both the “I” and “II” simultaneously, the LED
will ash green for two seconds when PIN change
mode is engaged. The LED will ash red if the
PIN was incorrect.
3. Enter the new PIN code (up to 5 digits), the LED
will ash green each time a digit is pressed, then
press the “I” button.
4. Re-enter the new PIN and press the “I” button. The
LED will ash green/red alternately to conrm
the PIN is complete and has been recorded.
If a mistake is made during the procedure, refrain
from pressing button “I” or “II” for 10 seconds. The
remote control will automatically drop-out out of PIN
programming mode.
CHANGING BATTERY
The REM-080 remote control uses a CR2032, 3Volt
Lithium battery. The batteries should be replaced
when the effective range of the remote control is less
than 3 metres.
To REPlACE THE BATTERY
1. Unscrew the Phillips head screw in the base of
the case.
2. Locate the opening tab on the side of the remote
control.
3. Use a small at head screw driver to lever the two
halves of the case apart.
4. When inserting the new battery, ensure the positive
of the battery is touching the pickup marked with
a “+”.
