Read your DG24/7 operator’s manuals carefully. Know your equipment before you use it. Consider the
application, limitations and potential hazards before operation.
Electrical system grounding provides a ground path from the unit to earth, limiting the voltage imposed
by lightning, line surges, or unintentional contact with higher-voltage lines and that will stabilize the
voltage to earth during normal operation.
The following information is to provide the user with general grounding information and is not a
substitute for proper guidance in accordance with the NFPA #70 National Electrical Codes. It is
recommended to follow applicable local electrical codes in accordance with the NEC Code.
A. The DG24/7 Mod is a stand-alone system. The solar array along with many other internal electrical
components supplies power independent of an electrical production or distribution network.
B. The DG24/7 is a separately derived system, where there is no direct connection (including the neutral)
to utility power. Approved grounding is achieved by connecting two (2) suitable lengths of stranded copper
wire (# 4 gauge minimum) and two (2) eight (8) foot earth ground rods (a minimum of six (6) feet apart)
from each other. The grounding rods are to be installed in series not to exceed 10’ from the equipment
ground terminal to an earth driven copper or brass rod (grounding electrode) in compliance with NFPA
#70 National Electric Code article 250-53.
C. For a system that is not separately derived, where the neutral ties to the utility company neutral, a
separate equipment ground conductor should be run from the equipment ground terminal on the unit to
the transfer panel and from the transfer panel to the main distribution panel ground. This means that the
neutral is only grounded at distributor panel.
DANGER
D. The DG24/7 unit has an equipment ground terminal on the frame for the user’s and equipment
protection. We recommend that the ground path follow local electrical codes. See NFPA #70 National
Electric Code article 690. Always complete the grounding path from the unit to an external
grounding source to prevent electric shock.

8
E. In accordance with NFPA #70 National Electrical Code Article 250-52 paragraph 5.
“Rod and pipe electrodes shall not be less than 2.44 m (8 ft) in length and shall
consist of the following materials.
(a) Grounding electrodes of pipe or conduit shall not be smaller than
metric designator 21 (trade size ¾”) and, where of steel, shall have the
outer surface galvanized or otherwise metal-coated for corrosion
protection.
(b) Grounding electrodes of stainless steel and cooper or zinc coated
steel shall be 15.87 mm (5/8 in.) in diameter, unless listed and not less
than 12.70 mm (½ in.) in diameter.”
WARNING
Failure to install and connect an effective grounding system will greatly increase the risk of lightning
damage and void the warranty.
WARNING
Keep your hands and hair away from moving parts.
WARNING
Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry while servicing set. Loose clothing can become caught in moving
parts. Jewelry can short out electrical circuits and cause you shock or burning skin.
DANGER
Electric shock will cause severe personal injury or death.
DANGER
In case of accident caused by electric shock, shut the source of electric power off at once. If this
cannot be done, free the victim from source of live power. AVOID ANY DIRECT CONTACT WITH VICTIM OR
THE LIVE ELECTRIC POWER. Use a dry piece of wood, a dry rope, or any other such non-conductive device
to free the victim from source of power.
Regardless of the victim’s medical condition, you must call for emergency medical help immediately.
4. BEFORE OPERATION.
Before using this unit become familiar with the hazards of the DG24/7 system. Look for these hazard labels
throughout the DG24/7 unit to warn of the dangers involved. Following these labels can prevent damage to
equipment and injury or death to the operator.

USE GEL CELL BATTERIES ONLY!
WATER IS NOT DESIGNED TO OPERATE
IN AMBIENT TEMPERATURES OF 35°AND BELOW.
CAUTION
A. Consult the information sheet found in the units attachment information packet supplied with
each module for correct size for your set. Most batteries are wet charged and ready to use.
CAUTION
B. Use extreme caution when handling the batteries. Battery acid is extremely dangerous and
can cause severe burns to the eyes, skin, and clothing. Flush contaminated areas immediately
with water and call your doctor. Provisions must be made to keep batteries fully charged This can
be accomplished by the IOTA external battery charger connected to the batteries and plugged into
an external power source.
CAUTION
C. Overcharging the battery will cause damage. Always use an automatically regulated charger
so that, as battery becomes charged, the rate of charge is automatically reduced. Keep battery
and battery terminals clean and dry. Terminals should have light grease or petroleum jelly applied
to retard corrosion.
CAUTION
D. Disconnection or connection of battery terminals while unit is in operation will cause violent
spark and may result in explosion. Never smoke or use open flame near battery. The area of
battery use must be well ventilated because batteries give off poisonous gas and explosive gas
when being charged.
WARNING
E. Do not disconnect any electrical connections until the pump remote power switch is in the (OFF)
position and all Breakers are turned (OFF)!!!

11
CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION
SAFETY IN REVIEW
A. Guard yourself against electric shock. Avoid personal contact with live terminals, wires and receptacles.
The electric output voltage in your unit can produce a fatal shock.
B. Battery acid can produce skin, eye, and clothing damage. Batteries emit a hydrogen gas when being
charged. This gas is poisonous and highly explosive. Use extreme caution when handling batteries.
C. Consult with licensed electrician on proper grounding procedures as outlined in NFPA #70 National
Electrical Code Article 250-53
D. Consult the NFPA #70 National Electrical Code Article 690 for Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
Point to Remember
Always read the owner manuals in their entirety to be well informed on the operation of the product for a
safe and reliable service life.
1. GROUND. The DG24/7 unit has an equipment ground terminal on the frame for your protection. We
recommend that the ground path follow local electrical codes. See National Electric Code 70 Article
690.Always complete the grounding path from the unit to an external grounding source to prevent
electric shock.
For a separately derived system, where there is no direct connection (including the neutral) to utility
power. Approved grounding is achieved by connecting two (2) suitable lengths of stranded copper
wire (# 4 gauge minimum) and two (2) eight (8) foot earth ground rods (a minimum of six (6) feet apart)
from each other. The grounding rods are to be installed in series not to exceed 10’ from the equipment
ground terminal to an earth driven copper or brass rod (grounding electrode) in compliance with
NFPA #70 National Electric Code article 250-53.
For a system that is not separately derived, where the neutral ties to the utility company neutral, a
separate equipment ground conductor should be run from the equipment ground terminal on the
generator to the transfer panel and from the transfer panel to the main distribution panel ground. This
means that the neutral is only grounded at distributor panel. Refer to page (6) of this owner’s guide
2. Service Work. Always turn all breakers / disconnects to the off position before beginning any service
work. Always disconnect the negative (-) battery cable before working on the unit to prevent
accidental start. Do not disconnect the battery cable with the unit running.
3. Never run the unit if there is fluid leakage from filter pack. The unit should be red tagged and repairs
performed as soon as possible by a qualified technician.
Quick Reference Guide
The DynGlobal 24/7 is designed for carefree water filtration; it has minimal maintenance requirements once it
is correctly setup and running. The amount of water processed and contaminate levels will impact the
longevity of the Charcoal filtration and heavy metal media (Adsorbsia). Water testing on a weekly basis is
highly recommended to monitor the waters quality in taste and contaminates. The factory life expectancy of
9-12 months of arsenic removal is based on no more than 50 parts per billion (ppb) and a neutral pH. The
water chemistry of the source will have a direct impact on the longevity of both of these media.
