NOTES
Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using
your new appliance. It is important to keep these instructions
as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features
available.The manufacturer is not responsible if the appliance
becomes damaged or defective as a result of the user not
following the information included in the instruction manual. If
the appliance becomes faulty during regular use, it should only
be repaired by an authorised service engineer.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
The following safety instructions must be followed
when using the appliance. Please read this section
very carefully!
Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety
rules for every specic situation, so we ask you to apply
commonsense precautions when using the appliance in a
situation that isn’t described below.
• This appliance has been designed for household use only, no
other (heavy duty) uses are permitted.
• Never use the appliance outdoors.
Warning! Always disconnect the appliance from the
mains when you’ve nished using it or are taking a
break, even if it’s only for a short period of time.

• This device is not supposed to be used by physically or
mentally handicapped people, or persons without
experience or knowledge (including children, as well),
unless such a person supervises or guides their use of the
device, who is at the same time responsible for their safety.
As for children, supervision is recommended to make sure
that they do not play with the device.This device is not
supposed to be used by children under the age of 14, not
even with supervision!
• To avoid the risk of electric shock, never immerse the
appliance in water or other liquids. Never touch the
appliance with wet hands. Connect and disconnect the
power cable to the socket with dry hands only. Should
moisture get inside the casing of the appliance for any
reason, stop operation immediately and take the appliance
to an authorised service engineer for checking or repair
• Only use the appliance on a stable, level surface. Keep it
away from water and make sure it cannot accidentally slip or
fall. If the appliance comes into contact with any kind of
moisture or liquid during use, immediately unplug it from
the mains. Do not touch it or attempt to take it out of the
liquid until the mains plug has been removed from the
socket.You must not use the appliance again before having
it checked and repaired by a specialist engineer.
• The mains connector must be always disconnected from the
wall socket after use and before cleaning. Never disconnect

the appliance from the socket by pulling the mains cable;
always grip the plug!
• If you empty grounds from the appliance, you must rst
remove the power connector from the mains, even if you are
using the appliance again straight away to grind more
coee.
• Never run the appliance empty, with nothing in the coee
chamber.
• Never use an appliance or accessory that the manufacturer
did not supply with or propose for use with the appliance.
The use of such appliances might lead to accidents or
irregular function.
• Never lay the mains cable beside or across sharp edges or hot
surfaces. Never wrap the mains cable around the cover of the
appliance, do not pull the cable and do not lift the appliance
with the mains cable because the cable can break or the
insulation can be damaged. A damaged cable must be
replaced by an authorised service engineer.The appliance
must not be used or connected to a wall socket if the cable is
damaged.
• The use of the appliance must be avoided in areas where the
temperature is too high or too low or where the appliance is
subject to vibrations. Avoid using the appliance under wet or
vaporous conditions.The appliance can be used within the
temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the
range of +5°C to +40°C.

• Don't put the appliance near hot objects (e.g. oven, hob,
heating appliance etc.) or on any hot surface.
• Don’t place the appliance anywhere it could slide down, fall
or be knocked o accidentally.
• Don't use the appliance in the presence of explosive or
inammable gases, vapours or liquids.
• Do not allow anything to fall into the appliance and do not
push anything into the opening of the appliance as the
appliance could be damaged and could cause electrical
shock.
• Before turning on the appliance, check that the lid is on
properly.
• Make sure that before you remove the coee chamber lid,
the motor and the blade have completely stopped. Never
touch the blade of the appliance when rotating at high
speed.
Do not overll the coee chamber by lling it above
the rim of the metal part of the chamber; the
appliance cannot grind more than that eectively, and
the motor may become overloaded. Use the grinder to
grind only dry substances (coee, walnuts, sugar,
hazelnuts, biscuits). Never put liquid, ice or other
moist substances into the chamber, as the appliance is
not suitable for chopping this type of substance.This is
to avoid moisture getting into the coee chamber of
the appliance which can cause electric shocks.

Ensure that solid, hard objects do not accidentally get
into the coee chamber as these could cause accidents
and damage the appliance.
• Whenever you ll or empty the grinder's coee chamber,
you must rst turn it o (the power plug must be
disconnected from the mains socket).
• Connect the appliance to the mains only after it has been
fully assembled. For your protection, the appliance is
equipped with a safety system which prevents the appliance
from operating if the coee chamber lid is not on.
• Special instruction
Attention!This household appliance was designed for
intermittent use. After a maximum of 1 minutes of operation
pause for at least 10 minutes, otherwise the appliance could
be damaged.The manufacturer will not be held liable for
any failure of the appliance caused by or originating from
exceeding the time established for continuous operation or
non compliance with the intervals prescribed for pausing.
• Do not lengthen or alter the mains cable of the appliance. If
you need a longer cable between the appliance and the wall
socket, you should buy a standard extension cord from an
electrical dealer. When using an extension cord, be careful
not to create a hazard that you or someone else could trip
over.
• You must not disassemble the appliance, remove its cover or
to try to repair it. Ignoring this advice could cause a serious

accident.There are no parts in the appliance that can be
repaired at home or used for any other purpose. Never
operate the appliance with a damaged mains cable or
connector. Do not use the appliance if it fails to work
normally or if it has been dropped or damaged. If the
appliance becomes faulty for any reason or if any moisture is
allowed inside, take it to an authorised service engineer for
checking and repair. Only service engineers who have been
trained and approved should repair the appliance.The
manufacturer cannot take any responsibility for
unauthorised repairs or for any circumstances resulting from
not following the instructions.
Please respect the environment when the appliance
reaches the end of its life. Electrical products must not
be disposed of with other residential waste because
they can damage the natural world and may be
hazardous to human health.You should dispose of the
appliance at an appropriate recycling site or by using a
collection service that specialises in electrical
appliances.

you are unable to nd convenient local recycling facilities as
they have some legal responsibilities for recycling electrical

POWER SUPPLY
The appliance must only be connected to mains
electricity of 230V and 50Hz. Always ensure the mains
voltage where you’re using the appliance corresponds
to the value shown on the nameplate of the appliance.
USE OF THE DEVICE
• Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.
Carefully check the appliance to ensure it is complete
and undamaged.You should only use the appliance if
it is complete and has not suered any damage.
• Before using the appliance for the rst time, or after a
prolonged period of storage, thoroughly clean the parts of
the appliance (especially the coee chamber and blade)
which could come into contact with the food to be ground,
in order to get rid of any dust or other possible deposits.

(Clean according to the instructions in the section "Cleaning
and maintenance of the appliance".
Using the appliance
1. Before you begin to use the grinder, put it on a stable, at
surface. Make sure that nothing blocks the ventilation of the
appliance during use. So, do not put anything under the
appliance that could hinder the ventilation (table cloth,
paper, etc).
2. Remove the lid from the grinder.Then ll the chamber with
the substance you want to grind.The appliance is suitable
for grinding coee, almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, biscuits
and sugar. Fill the chamber, at most, up to the rim of the
inner metal part (this corresponds to 30g of coee beans, or
70g of sugar). If you want to grind more than this amount,
do this in several batches, bearing in mind the instructions
on operation/pause.
3. Put the lid back onto the grinder, ensuring that it's on
properly. The grinder only runs when the lid is over the
chamber in the correct position.The correct position is when
the small rod on the underside of the safety switch on the lid
makes contact with the concealed safety switch which is
sunk into the appliance casing.
4. Whilst running the grinder, press down continuously and
evenly on the lid and the safety switch. Grind the contents to
the required texture.

5. Once you've nished using the grinder, release the lid.
Before emptying the contents of the grinder, always power
o the appliance by removing the power cord plug from the
mains. Remove the lid only after checking that the blade is
no longer turning.The grounds can be poured or spooned
out of the chamber.

press down the lid with excessive force, because if the lid
should not be on correctly, the small rod on the lid's safety
switch could break, making the appliance inoperable.

• If you put more into the appliance's coee chamber than
prescribed, this could overload the motor causing the
appliance to breakdown.
• Be sure not to grind substances excessively nely as their
avour and aroma could be lost.

• Do not use the coee chamber for storage; do not store
substances to grind, or ground substances in it.
After using the appliance, the coee chamber must be
emptied straight away.
• Clean the coee chamber immediately after use, as any
grounds left in the chamber could become stale or mouldy,
the moisture in the air could cause the residue to harden on
the central axis the blade is attached to, which in turn could
cause corrosion, overloading or damage to the appliance.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Warning! Before you clean the appliance it must be
switched o and the mains plug must be removed
from the wall socket.
• It is very important never to immerse the motor unit in
water and not to hold it under running water.
• The appliance must be cleaned after every use. Please pay
special attention to thoroughly cleaning the coee chamber
and blade.Thoroughly wipe the inside of the coee chamber
with a soft cloth dipped in warm water, then carefully wipe
it dry.
• Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft,
lint-free cloth and then wipe the cleaned surfaces with a dry
lint-free cloth.Take care not to allow any moisture inside the
cover. Let the appliance dry completely before re-using or
storing it.

• Never use solvent to clean the appliance (acetone, benzene,
gasoline, alcohol, etc) because they could eat into the casing
or get inside the appliance damaging the inner parts. Do not
use rough or abrasive cleaning agents.
• Never remove the cover of the appliance.
• If you don't plan to use the appliance for a while after
cleaning it, place it in a nylon bag and store it in a place that
is free from dust, damp and frost. Do not wrap the mains
cable around the appliance when storing it because the
insulation can deteriorate or break under these
circumstances.

• Nigdy nie korzystać z urządzenia, jeśli pojemnik na kawę
jest pusty.
• Nigdy nie używać żadnego urządzenia ani akcesoriów,
niedostarczanych przez producenta ani niezalecanych do
wykorzystania z urządzeniem. Użycie takich urządzeń może
prowadzić do wypadków bądź nieregularnej pracy.
• Nigdy nie należy przeprowadzać kabla sieciowego poprzez
ostre kanty lub ponad względnie pod gorącą powierzchnią.
Kabla sieciowego nie należy nigdy owijać wokół oprawy
aparatu i pociągać go lub podnosić trzymając za kabel
sieciowy, ponieważ kabel może się zerwać lub jego izolacja
może zostać uszkodzona. Jeżeli kabel aparatu został
uszkodzony, należy go wymienić w wyspecjalizowanym
serwisie. Nie wolno podłączać do gniazdka sieciowego
aparatu z uszkodzonym kablem.
• Nie wolno korzystać z urządzenia w miejscach, gdzie
